~*~The After-Twilight Bookclub!!!~*~

Also--I am dying for the next Sookie book to come out!!

when is it coming out? soon, right? i think this may be a very different sookie book, with the cousin's baby from the end of the last book. there haven't been any kids yet in the series (that i can remember).

i have so many darned books to read right now and still can't seem to drag myself from all the fanfic, in fact i just bookmarked another one!

i did finish PRETTIES, not sure if i posted that yet, and began SPECIALS. so far it is still just OK for me. but not so bad that i can't finish reading them. it would be awesomely cool to have a blinking tattoo like they describe in the book. in fact a few of my reent books have me thinking of lots of cool tattoos.

there are not enough dis friendly terms to explain that week. but i will say that there is something super sexy about having a wild affair with a gorgeous guy who didn't speak a word of english. sadly it ended with him hiring a translator to ask me to stay with him, i just could not do that.

Oh, that's so romantic...

maybe i should write a B & E fanfic based on it.

as for putting it on facebook, well, too many people there would read stuff i'd rather keep with my 'unknown friends' lol

FAN FIC IT UP!!!! That's a great idea.. then you could embelish and make yourself look smoother and he even hotter and thicken the plot a bit (espionage anybody????? popcorn:: )

Specials... meh.... I hear ya.

I am still struggling with the overall feelings that the book left me with. It is a very interesting moral dilemma and it was also interesting from a legal standpoint."

I hate struggling with left over icky feelings.

I would suggest Blood and Chocolate or The Summoning but nothing could beat Twilight.

Welcome... The Summoning is on my list but I don't have it at my house currently. I'm going to start "Bitten" by the same author very soon.

It comes out on May 5th- I can't wait! anyone else looking forward to it?

I'm reading the first vampire academy book now. Hey, you (who have read it) didn't tell me there's an academy of hot vampires somewhere in Montana! I'm waiting for a town name nearby...

Not sure I appreciated the whole, oh you went to the academy in Siberia, that's the only place worse than Montana but it made me :rotfl:!

Yeah when you find them, let me know! I've never been to Montana but I'd go for the hotties!! :cool1: ;)

Julie, I can't believe I skipped over that detail!

I have to admit that I didn't think the first book was GREAT but loved the second book. However, now that i have finished "Glass Houses" which is the Morganville Vampire series I think that I judged VA too harshly. It was good compared to this dud.

Definate fanfic material!

It's funny, I think most people who write the fanfic write about things they fantasize about, yours would be different.

Really cool.

So, let me ask you all a question.. I'm NOT a writer although I've been doing a fanfic about Renesmee. I thought all night how I could mix the renesmee fanfic with the story of my trip to Russia. Would anyone be willing to read my first few pages to let me know if it's too awful to continue. It's not easy to write and i'm not sure i'd want to continue or post it publically if it's awful.

Let me know in PM with your email address if you'd be willing to read it privately and give me an honest opinion.
Thanks!

I'm assuming from the descriptions they're describing Northwest Montana. You could hide anything up there! Unabomber, cults, vampires....

I just finished the Vampire Academy #2 and I read the last paragraph of #3. I don't know why...I never do that! Now I'm so freaked out I'm waiting to see what book #4 has for a plot before I read #3.... That's one heck of a cliffhanger!

Bad girl!

I just finished Anansi Boys... it was awesome. Loved it on tape. I highly recommend it.

I finished The Luxe the other day. I liked it and would like to read the next one in the series, Rumors. I didn't like it nearly as much as the Gemma Doyle books, but it was a fun read. The characters are a bit cliche, but I love the time period and all the discussion of dresses and social norms. I recommend it if you are in the mood for something light with no supernatural business.

I think the books get better as the series continues. The Morganville Series is one of my favorites! I liked the first one, but they definitely got better as the series continued in my opinion. :)

Twasn't my cup-o-tea fo sho. I like the comedy in the house of night series and thought VA had a more interesting premise. But, maybe the MVamps got more fun in book two? There just wasn't any FUN in them. Ya know?

Good to know! I think the one of the main reasons I liked the Gemma was the supernatural stuff. I loved getting the goosebumps! I'm glad to hear it (The Luxe) wasn't too boring without the SN stuff!
