I just booked Chef Mickey's for our first night at Disney (Oct. 26) and for the Princess dinner at Epcot. For the Chef Mickey rs, I clicked the "add a celebration" option, since it will be my daughter's first Disney trip, and it's our first night there. What does that entail? I don't mind adding something extra ($-wise) for that one meal since it's special for us, but it would be nice if I knew what to expect. Anyone know? TIA.

i did that for my birthday, it lets them know on your reservation that your celebrating something, maybe you'll get confetti on the table or a cupcake, not exactly sure what they do for first visit. It doesnt cost anything unless you want to buy a cake or goodie bags, etc. Hope that helps!:)

You may get a cupcake, you may get confetti, you may get nothing. We went for my DD's birthday and really were only concerned about the actual *day* of her birthday. Even with that, besides it being on the ADR, we still had to tell the server. We had a birthday thing planned for her dinner (I bought a special cake) but for lunch we were at 50s Prime Time and they would not have done anything until I mentioned it to the server even though it was noted on the ADR.

As for first trips or being somewhere "around" the date of your birthday, you may simply only get a "best wishes, have a good time" from your server.
