Congrats! That is a huge decision and I'm sure it is the right one for you and your family. Good luck!

THANKS, Jill!!
I really do hope it's the right decision! And with starting out slow, I'll be able to gauge things as I go. If things start to fall apart, then I'll put it on hold again. Family is my first priority.
Oh Liesa

! What wonderful news for you and your family! A career in nursing sounds like a perfect fit for you too. In my family alone, there are 5 nurses including my own mother. DH jokes that I'll most likely go back to school after my girls are grown and become a nurse as well. What I'd really like is to work postpartum with all those babies! I love babies.
That's a LOT of nurses. And I'll bet when someone gets sick, you get 5 opinions on what to do!
I like to push papers and write reports (imagine that?!) AND I like to take care of people. sounds like a perfect combo to me!
If I had to pick a specialty right now, I'd have to choose a surgical unit or geriatrics. I LOVE the elderly and ADORE listening to their stories. But that's LONG, LONG way down the road!
Oh boy, chemistry scares me! I barely passed by the skin of my teeth in high school and didn't even bother pursuing it in college. Kudos to you for tackling it, I'm sure your determination will push you through. And re-taking idiot math isn't such a bad idea, as you said it will refresh you for the difficult math that is coming! Love your order of priorities too...helping with the family income and getting to Disney every year!
I started chem in college and dropped it after a week. They introduced the "mole" and I was OUTTA there!! Could.NOT.get.it! I was headed for a C, and in my vain pride, I didn't want a C on my transcript. Kept my 3.84, but never learned to struggle through a tough subject either. Now it's time!
So, you're starting March 15th then, how exciting!!! Just view it one step at a time, knowing that each class gets you that much closer to your goal. I'm wishing you all the best in the world with this endeavor Liesa. Congratulations and best wishes as you begin.
I just found out, that I can REGISTER on the 15th; classes start on the 28th, so still a bit of time before things get going.
Your encouragment means the world to me!! THANKS for cheering me on, and you're right- ONE STEP AT A TIME!!
I know if I can get an A or B in this math class, I can really do the rest- well, actually, if I can swing a B out of chem, I'll be really, really happy! And the timing of that is perfect, as that is the next class I'll have to take and I can do it this summer, when there are no other homeschooling obligations!
That is a brave decision you have made Liesa! Congrats on being a student again. I truly hope it brings you what you are looking for in life. It's hard to know what you really want sometimes so *high five* to you in figuring it out
I don't know about brave, but it will mean some changes. I am really looking for something to do with my extra spare time and to be able to make some spare cashola. As for figuring it out...

Time will tell on that one.
