:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:Now that was a twist on the Behind the Seeds tour. Bravo!

So one question, What did you think? Was it worth it? I have always been curious about this tour but really can't figure out if its worth taking the extra time.

In short, I really, really liked the tour! I loved that it was a sort of out of the way, and for $16 you get to see a lot of stuff you don't get to see on the boat ride. Alisha is a very patient and kind tour guide and answered our zillions of questions with ease.

I think the kids got a bit bored, as it lasted more than the hour they said it would- hence the little "accident". But seriously, if you like gardening, and want photo opps. you don't normally get, this is the tour for you!

Yes, totally worth it!

That sure doesn't look like our garden.

We love Brussel Sprouts, but have a hard time growing them...they tend to get buggy.

doesn't look like mine either! I grow yummy things like berries and spinach. brussel sprouts, not so much (blech!)

I had a hard time with brocolli in Crapistan. Buggy and no fruit.

Thanks, Pat! Can you imagine?! 3 TERMS!! :scared1:

I memorize well, so I hope I can do well!

It's going to mean BIG changes! But with only the one math class this coming term, with summer on its heels, I'm not too worried. I hope Rebekah and I can have a class at the same time, so I'll only be AT school for a couple of mornings or afternoons a week. In fact, as I was thinking about the practical ramifications, maybe if she has another class before or after mine, I can use the time to run on the indoor track. Or go to the study center to get tutoring.

I still hope I CAN get to a party! That's at the very top of my to-do list at WDW!!

I KNOW!! I am writing my next update now- pix are already uploaded. So likely ONE more update, then off to a new thread. Exciting stuff!!

Hmmmm.... you always have such GREAT ideas!! Why didn't I think of that!!?? :worship:

I hope I can be a GREAT nurse- and honestly, I am (don't think me weird) just as excited about the administration as I am about the practical end of things.

It's the getting to the 2 year program that is frustrating and time consuming! 1 1/2 years is a long time to just GET there! :headache:

Thanks, Tracy!! Moving forward, but slow, slow, slow!!

Liesa, I know you WILL be a great nurse!

You will probably love A&P - I did! It is so interesting when you are interested in how things work!:3dglasses

Loved your Seedy tour! Educational and Frightening at the same time!:lmao:

Excellent posts about the Land. I find it all fascinating, actually, and you only made it more so...oh, and funny, too! Brussel sprouts are one of my favorite vegetables and I wouldn't mind hooking up some a hydorponic gro tank of my own. All the b. sprouts I could handle. :lmao:

Also, great news about going back to school. Its always wonderful to have a new direction to follow. Good luck!

I always have loved The Land, in fact, I think it might even be my favorite Pavilion there.

You must use a LOT of cheese sauce.

And if you use styrofoam, keep your kids away. :lmao:

I sure hope this is going to work out in the long run! I like a new direction too, but am just hoping I can remember how to study and take tests.

Oh my word! This update is hilarious! You've definitely given another look to the Behind the Seeds tour!

Who knew that Tilapia enjoyed dog food so much! Wait a sec, doesn't dog food contain fish? Wouldn't that be considered cannibalism?;) Ewwww!

Oh dear, Liesa I hope you weren't indulging in this meal! BTW, how are you feeling these days??

I hope Alisha was entertaining; I know she kept me interested in everything there in the Land for almost 2 hours!

Gee, I guess you're right- fish eating fish would be just that. Hmm.... food for thought.

That is exactly the meal that got me started on this strange tummy ache trip. Exactly. I was telling Camille today, that I just feel sort of tired and achy, but it(my gut) isn't in enough pain to make me threaten a trip to the ER.

You're so encouraging! Thanks! I talked with Camille today, and that first Thursday at class will be the same day she arrives!! She will actually have to sit at school for a couple of hours after I pick her up! :scared1: Who knew last week, it'd end up that way??!!

Thanks, Pat! Can you imagine?! 3 TERMS!! :scared1:

A&P has one thing going for it. You always have a template to study with - your own body. :lmao:

Looks like the seedy tour was nice, minus the accident and the extra attention the kids needed. :rolleyes1

First, Maroo...I sat here with tears of joy with your update on Baker and my favorite characters at the Crystal Palace. The picture of him kissing Pooh just warmed my heart.

Liesa, I've already congratulated you on your decision to go to nursing school, but will do so here again. CONGRATULATIONS--you are going to do great.

I love your updates. Mark has always wanted to do the Seed Tour but we've never gotten around to it.

Your Christmas pictures are great...I love the kids working on the gingerbread house

And watch your TR here...you are approaching "automatic shutdown" for the amount of pages. :)

Mine might be a good study on a train wreck of one right now. I'm sitting here with a wine bottle filled with hot water on my back. UGH!!

HOnestly, I felt VERY sorry for the mom and her kid. He was hot and tired and just wanted to sit down, but unfortunately chose the VERY most WRONG place to do it! The whole thing crashed down and he was absolutely horrified! As was the mom. Alisha never missed a beat, and told them not to worry, it was easily fixed. :guilty: Poor thing.

Thanks, Kathy! It was not after a small amount of thinking and praying about it. I am ready; and my kids seem to be on board. Mike is waiting to judge until I get the first class under my belt.

You really should do this tour- very relaxing- but TAKE water!! It does get toasty and there are no facilities, water or otherwise.

We had a nice Holiday season- it was sure great to be back doing the things we love!

I have been watching the thread for a while now, cringing at the thought of starting a new one. That's a lot of work, but I LOVE IT!!! I imagine this will be the last chapter on this thread, and we'll pick it back up on PT. 2!! :yay::yay::yay:

Well, that is a big decision! Good luck and God bless in your studies. I am fully confident that you'd make a terrific nurse. And I know there is a great demand for good nursing care across the country.

As an engineer, I'm sure I can help with your math class. I'll give you the tip that got me through the Professional Engineering licensing exam:

When in doubt, the answer is b).

Makes you feel confident about driving on our bridges, doesn't it? :scared1:

You build bridges? My father is a civil engineer and his favourite buildings were always bridges. So in my family bridges became important sights to visit when on vacation.:goodvibes

Liesa, don't be scared of chemistry. It really isn't so difficult. Well, Katharina might have a different view on this, but that's because she had to pass an exam on a one year chemistry class which she did not take due to being away as an exchange student... But you will get a proper course! I think the great thing about chemistry is that it explaines so much about how everything around us (and inside us) works. I still think it was one of the most useful subjects I was taught at school, especially when I had advanced chemistry during my last to years! I learned how detergents work, how to make plastic - and for whatever weired reason, we also did some nuclear chemistry where we got to calculate the critical mass for a bomb... :scared1:

Love the tour.. I wan't sure if some kids really broke something or that was added for comedic value? :confused3

Seems like for $16, the tour was worth it.

I see your rosemary bush wasn't decorated for Christmas yet. ;)

Loved the update! :thumbsup2

I"m sure it will be very interesting! Espcially if they teach things like pyrotechnics.
Maybe I'll have a (bigger) mid-life crisis and move to Florida with my new skills and apply to the fireworks Division for the next big nighttime spectacle. I do really love the biochem. aspect.

No, Tim, a kid really did sit on one of the displays and break it!! :scared1: He was all pooped out and needed to sit- just happedned to choose the wrong place. Poor thing! Poor MOM!

It was totally worth it- a great 1 and a half!

I wondered if they grew that for Christmas and decorated it? I wonder if any one has any pictures of that ride during the holidays? Anyone? Anyone? :confused3

Wow! Awesome update, Liesa!!!!!

Great job!

I had forgotten the kid broke the display! :faint: poor Mom!

I am so glad!!!

I guess I need to get writing on the rest of the trip, huh. :rolleyes1

I have other pics that I didn't upload... but here is the rosemary bush. ;)

Liesa,

Congrats on going back to school!!! :thumbsup2

Loved your update. We took the tour a couple of yers back and loved it. :goodvibes

Good Morning!!!!

I couldn't remember if I had told you about that or not! Talk about embarrassing!!!! :scared1:

Uh, yeah, I guess so.... popcorn::

I think I would have died. :sad2:

I was so embarrassed for the whole family- obviously one of those crawl under the nearest rosemary bush and die moments.

Speaking of Rosemary.... :worship::worship::worship: It begs of glittery balls!

Liesa,

Congrats on going back to school!!! :thumbsup2

Well! Look who's here!! Thanks! Today I take my math placement test....

Wasn't it a great tour?? I sure loved every moment! Well, almost all of them!

Of course, we not only use them here, but release them into all the lakes on WDW property to make sure no one has the pleasure of swimming in them on the blistering days of summer. We are pretty sure these are to blame for closing the beloved River Country years ago.

:sad1::sad1: I've got a lot of fond memories of River Country...

We collect all our tissue cultures from the Kleenex’s of our guests with toddlers. Getting that “solid media” really isn’t difficult at all, and makes those veggies extra resistant!

:rotfl2:

You may think that's water in those various containers, but it's snot. (Second time I've used that joke today! :woohoo:)

Now it’s time to move out into the areas where we use all that pest control and biological warfare. See what happens when someone goes too far in developing various methods of mealtime torture?? This is our prime example of the ultimate “Honey Do” device! Think of its power Dear Housewives!

 *shudder* I'm gonna have to get me a bigger grill.

<LARGE CRASHING NOISE, followed by screaming child>

OOPSIE! Didn’t listen to that part of the rules, huh?? I’m sorry your child is now wet and my display in completely SMASHED!!

Um...it was like that when I got here.

smiley_puke.gif

much like your Great Aunt did in trying to improve her shape 50 years ago. Much cheaper and easier than liposuction!

:lmao::rotfl2:

I’d like to leave you with a picture of the most impressive male anatomy nature has to offer.

Oh, my...somebody's trolling for comments here. So many directions this could go...

We love Brussel Sprouts, but have a hard time growing them...they tend to get buggy.

See! Even nature tries to warn you by preventing you from eating them.

You build bridges? My father is a civil engineer and his favourite buildings were always bridges. So in my family bridges became important sights to visit when on vacation.:goodvibes

Well, I'm actually more of a road guy than a bridge guy, but I could probably come up with something that works if I had to. Bridges just look more impressive than roads. But you'd be surprised how complex road designs can get, too!

You may think that's water in those various containers, but it's snot. (Second time I've used that joke today! :woohoo:)

And I've been lucky enough to stumble upon both of them.

Oh, my...somebody's trolling for comments here. So many directions this could go...

I resisted the temptation earlier. Now I'll just say that I hope Brett Favre doesn't have Liesa's cell phone number.

Heading into my math placement test right now.... Oh God, please let me test higher than 5th grade arithmetic!!!! Let me remember the "powers that be"... :worship::worship::worship:

And not concentrate on WHO Brett Favre is????

Don't forget -- they always like to put 3-4-5 triangles on tests. One side has a length of 3, one has 4, and one has 5. (The good ol' A squared + B squared = C squared).

ETA: I should have pointed out that this makes it a "right" triangle. The angle between the 3 side and the 4 side has to be 90 degrees.

good luck! "C" is my default answer when in doubt. ;)

Sorry I was behind again, but at least I'm caught up before you start the new thread.

Thanks so much for sharing your Christmas pictures. Your first Christmas back with family must have been so special. I hope y'all made lots of memories.

I had tears of joy while reading about Baker's expericence at Crystal Palace. Only in Disney!

Congrats on going back to school. My sister has gone back. She wants to be a Rad Tech. She started out small. First she had to finish up getting her associates then take some courses to get into the Rad Tech program. She's loving it! I know you'll make a great nurse. My Mom was a RN. Growing up everyone always said I should be on too, but I discovered in 4th grade my downfall for that ever happening. I pass out at the sight of blood:scared1:. To this day I still have this problem.
