I know you're right, Camille!! And apparently none are going on that limb of admitting. :lmao:

 I guess not!

So far things are going great! He is a winner for sure- but the next 3-5 years will really show what he's made of.

This is exactly what I'm watching for also. I know we got him to 18 safe and spiritually intact, but it's the next few years that will prove how well those rearing years stuck. I know it's not on me any more, but I won't sit by and not say something where it's needed. I refuse to be one of those parents regardless of their childs age to never say anything if I see my child messing up big time. I have a feeling he's going to be the amazing human being I've always known him to be, and that I can't take credit for. God gave him an amazingly good heart. :lovestruc

Awesome for learning how to upload, Rosie!! Thanks for one more picture of that cute little flying elephant. I wish they had made them all pigs though.

Way to go Rosie!!

Having family IS great! I just wish it was MY family too. Mine are all back in Kentucky and DC- so I don't get to see them nearly as much as I"d like!!

Hopefully they will visit you often. :goodvibes

Thanks for posting for me, Camille!!!

I coulda sat on Santa's lap, but I"ll leave that cheeky stuff to Rosie!! :rotfl2:

Me too, Camille!! Done! with shopping until the food for the 2 holiday dinners. :cool1:

You are so much more than welcome!! Anything for a friend. :goodvibes

I'm tired of shopping, but I did make a special purchase tonight I'm kinda excited about...I actually bought some black raspberry liqueur (Chambord) to put in some champagne this Christmas. Champagne cocktail anyone? :goodvibes It's only my third time every buying something in a liquor store. :scared: How silly is it I'm kinda weirded out by buying alcohol in a liquor store, something about walking into one of those places makes me a little uncomfortable. I think it's the person walking up to the counter behind me with that gallon bottle of booze that always makes me wonder if I'm just a liiiiiittle out of my element.

JUST finished putting the houses together. Tomorrow we'll do the candy/decorating at 11:00. Problem? I took ALL the candy down to Salem in my baking bags, so need to run out tomorrow first thing and buy all new! What an idiot!! Anyway, the houses look GREAT!!! My girls could be architects, easy! :thumbsup2

Talking? Forget it. Ain't gonna happen.

:sad2: Nope it's not. Thank God for girlfriends! :cheer2:

I hope your going to show us pics of the finished houses. :goodvibes And no calling yourself an idiot!! Your not an idiot, you've got just a few things up in the air right now. Give yourself a break lady. :goodvibes
Oh, and I would love to see pics of the decorations at the Salem house, I know you've been working really hard.

Congrats Liesa on your 2nd 5K. You're really doing great! I can't believe all of the obstacles you had to overcome for this one....from sole-searching to enduring stabbing pains to prevent the whole thing from going, um, bust.

The Ho Ho run?! Count me in! I'm a huge fan.

Morning All !! I beat ya'll with the congrats last night ,but I will repeat them Great Ho Ho run!!!Liessa you are awesome !!!:woohoo::woohoo:

Yes Dan you are saved from the Horrors of trying to teach me via pms !!!!!
Not sure what makes Dan an expert on this particular topic, but I'm guessing you mastered this subject a long, long time ago Rosie!!! :lmao:
Nor have I. I wish my husband liked to talk more, but I know its just not in their (most of them, anyway) natures. That's what girlfriends are for!
Yes, us husbands are NOT talkative at all! :sad2: DW has to drag conversation out of me.....:)
warm up, and find out just who the spectators would be:

A very attentive crowd, I see..... :thumbsup2
About a half hour before start time, we had the first of 2 serious wardrobe malfuncitons. I can’t quite decide, even now, which one would prove to be the worst of them. I only have a picture of one. You’ll thank me later. I had thrown my shoes in the dryer the night before, delaminating the glue on the sole of my shoe. Luckily, Bek had running shoes on, so I quickly threw hers on and used them. Even though they were a size too big, it didn’t turn out to be a big deal.
Not a good way to start!
(Just in case you are wondering, you can't see me, because I am incredibly short.)
Dang it, I thought I was going to score a Liesa sighting!!! :guilty:
Santa was there at about 4K urging on us. I told him I was already nice, and if he told me one more time I was doing a great job, I would very soon be naughty. Kind of like when you’re giving birth, and the doctor tells you to push, it’ll all be over soon. Liars.
It really, really was. You were just too preoccupied to notice..... ;)
But WELL before I got even close to the finish line, I started feeling this stabbing where no one should ever be stabbed. For a while I couldn’t imagine what could be making my flesh feel like a hot knife was skewering its way into me. But then it hit me!! I had made amateur Runner’s Mistake #354. I had worn an underwire “tray table”, and the wire decided to turn lethal weapon.
Not a good way to finish!!! :scared1:
So, maybe that was what ended up shaving about 30 seconds off my overall time since my last 5K?
Congrats on the finish and faster time!!! :cheer2:
More than just my legs were screaming to be done.
Surely Mike was the caring and loving husband and offered to massage your pain away...... :rolleyes1
So was I nice??

Santa seemed to think so.
I coulda sat on Santa's lap, but I"ll leave that cheeky stuff to Rosie!! :rotfl2:
I'm not sure there's a naughty AND nice list??? :confused3

Now my dilemma; do I spend the countless hours of research required to figure out where T and U are, or do I spend that time finalizing plans and getting ready for my upcoming trip??? What to do, what to do???
Morning All !! I beat ya'll with the congrats last night ,but I will repeat them Great Ho Ho run!!!Liessa you are awesome !!!:woohoo::woohoo:
I'll have to check the time Rosie! I sent her positive confirmation of her accomplishment last night on FB, so I might have beat you....... :rotfl:

Liesa, congratulations on finishing another 5K run. I love the squirrel photo watching the pre-race preparations. I'm sorry about the wardrobe mishaps...that had to hurt your time.

Congrats on the 5K, Liesa!

Reading about your triumphs (no matter how slo-go you think they may be) makes me excited to train as well.

Have you ever thought of doing a 5K at Disney? Not sure if that's been discussed here, if it has forgive me. :goodvibes

Great job finishing another 5k! I'm not lying either, you did a great job.

I'll be sure not to wear an underwire when I run my next race. Although if there are ho-ho's at the end, I'll probably just fake an injury and wait in the tent there. :thumbsup2

Letter T is up for grabs!! Go ahead, give yourself a thrill and guess!!!

Just white out your answers here on the thread- and no peekies!!

Ok, here it is:

Wow, the clue was easy, but then you take the T from Hotel!! It's from the ToT sign!

Another race?! You rock!!! Have you always been a runner? If not, what made you decide to start? I really wish I could run like that!

Great job on the race Liesa!!!!!

As far as the malfunction, was hoping for a.... awww never mind. :sad2: :rolleyes1:rolleyes1

Not sure what makes Dan an expert on this particular topic, but I'm guessing you mastered this subject a long, long time ago Rosie!!! :lmao:
:rotfl2:

For some reason I think Rosie was referring to me? :confused3

Surely Mike was the caring and loving husband and offered to massage your pain away...... :rolleyes1
BOW CHICKA WOW WOW.... and my names not SHIRLY!

:lmao::lmao:

I had worn an underwire “tray table”, and the wire decided to turn lethal weapon.

Well, I suppose you could have ripped it off and discarded it.:confused3 There are usually lots of assorted pieces of discarded clothing along race routes - the long ones, anyway. Don't know that I've ever seen one of those, but no one would fault you!:lmao:

Well, I think the clue for T is: Tower of Terror. At least that was my first guess, but then I realized that both T's are at the beginning of words, and your T has a letter in front of it. But I'm too lazy to try to think of another idea!

I have had that wardrobe malfunction happen to me as well! OWIE! Thankfully not during a race though, I can imagine that would make your run faster.

GREAT job to you both!!!

No clue on the letters...oh wait - I just had an idea on what the U might be, I gotta do some research.

I'm not normally one to vy for attention but this one can't be talked about to the family yet so I need a little sympathy and support from you guys. :guilty:

I had to put my kitty to sleep today. :sad1: I had to sneak her out of the house so my daughter wouldn't see what I was doing and I haven't even told my husband yet because I couldn't get ahold of him at work or on his cell.
I'm weepy and feel stupid for crying over a cat, I made such a fool of my self at the vets breaking down, AND I swear my other cat is giving me the stink eye because he knows what I did.

I just needed the support of my fellow Dis brothers and sisters. I would have called you Liesa, but I know your crazy busy and just didn't want to bug you with this silly thing. I still can't help it, I just can't stop crying. I hate being such a girl about this.
Okay before I make an even bigger fool of myself I'm getting off of here. I could really go for Marv or Captainoblivious making me laugh right about now. I wanted to answer your letter questions Liesa, I'll have to do it later.

Hmmm...I can't find a picture of it, so I'll just take a guess anyway, doesn't hurt! :goodvibes

U: A garbage can at DHS, I think in the Streets of America. I hesitate with this because I don't know what word on there would be a U. But then I remember the round logo that was yellowish color with words in it...or maybe it's one of the garbage cans with the Jamminators? That doesn't have a U either though. Hmmm.

Oh, Camille!!! I snuck on here in the midst of our gingerbread house making Ultra-fest (9) kids (from 2 families), and saw your post about Kitty!!! I am so sorry you had to endure that today! I will try to call you after my guests leave to talk. :guilty: Don't feel guilty; it is something that needed to happen- although that doesn't make it any easier! Be comforted my friend!

Hi Leisa,
About the underwire problem, I would suggest looking at the Warner brand, they have a fabulous line of wireless bra's that are really commfy and really give you the uhhhh support you need. I just bought some for my DD and she really loves them, coming from a teen that's a good sign. ;) Cuz you know how picky they can be.

Camille, you are not being a "girl". It is very difficult to lose a pet. Our dog is 13 and I know her days are numbered, and although I will be very upset about it, my husband is going to be a basket case as she adores him and vice versa. I am sending you a big , and I'm sorry for your loss.

Sorry Millie that you had to do this all on your own. I remember losing 2 dogs as a kid and it was never easy.

OK I see where I stand.... I'm not the funny one. I guess I need to try a little harder.:confused3 :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Here are a few 'funnies' for you.

I bet you could post an update on your TR, and seeing Ana dancing around and smiling would do just as well to brighten Camille's day......... :rolleyes1
I don't know about Camille but these made me laugh! :lmao::rotfl2:
:lmao: Agree, nice job helping your rep there Tim!!! :thumbsup2

Camille, I appreciate your vote of confidence but I don't have a whole lot of experience with "So you had to put your Cat down" humor! I guess I need to do a google search and try to find something appropriate! :confused3

In the mean time, just know that we are all here for support, and I am truly sorry you had to go through that situation today. I know it was tough for you, and will be for the rest of your family!
