I'm not normally one to vy for attention but this one can't be talked about to the family yet so I need a little sympathy and support from you guys. :guilty:

I had to put my kitty to sleep today. :sad1: I had to sneak her out of the house so my daughter wouldn't see what I was doing and I haven't even told my husband yet because I couldn't get ahold of him at work or on his cell.
I'm weepy and feel stupid for crying over a cat, I made such a fool of my self at the vets breaking down, AND I swear my other cat is giving me the stink eye because he knows what I did.

I just needed the support of my fellow Dis brothers and sisters. I would have called you Liesa, but I know your crazy busy and just didn't want to bug you with this silly thing. I still can't help it, I just can't stop crying. I hate being such a girl about this.
Okay before I make an even bigger fool of myself I'm getting off of here. I could really go for Marv or Captainoblivious making me laugh right about now. I wanted to answer your letter questions Liesa, I'll have to do it later.

((((Camille)))) You are definitely not a fool for breaking down at the Vet's office, or anytime for that matter. Our pets are family members and then the time comes for them to leave us, I cry my heart out and miss them terribly. I am so sorry you had to go through today - especially alone. God gives us these creatures to love and protect, so how could we feel any less than devastated when it's time to say goodbye and let them return to God? Please call me anytime...you know it's usually pretty quiet around these parts. More  my sweet friend.:grouphug:

Wow congrats on finishing another 5k especially with the wardrobe problems. Hopefully today your body is feeling a little better.

Camille I'm sorry about your kitty. We haven't had to do that yet, but I know it will be very hard to loose one of our dogs.

OMG!!!!!! WE just had a tornado about 10 miles from my new house!!!

Camille,
I am so sorry about the cat. I have one that is getting up in years and I fear the day may come where I may have to do the same. :sad1:

Don't feel bad about your feelings, let them out. You have my number if you need to talk.

My crazy guesses
T - Hollywood Hotel sign from Tot

CONGRATS on the 2nd 5K. I need to get my rear moving myself but right now it is so darn cold I figure my shivering is moving enough.

Camille, you are not being a "girl". It is very difficult to lose a pet. Our dog is 13 and I know her days are numbered, and although I will be very upset about it, my husband is going to be a basket case as she adores him and vice versa. I am sending you a big , and I'm sorry for your loss.

Ms. Kat thank you. Only pet people get what it is to go through such craziness. The hardest part is over, I finally told my DH when he came home tonight and we broke the news to our daughter together. My son is going through finals right now so I don't want to bother him with this until he's home. :sad1: I'm not looking forward to telling him on his Christmas break.

Sorry Millie that you had to do this all on your own. I remember losing 2 dogs as a kid and it was never easy.

Thank you Tim. I hated watching the kitty going through what she was going through worse than handling the situation. I just didn't expect to lose it in the vets office.

OK I see where I stand.... I'm not the funny one. I guess I need to try a little harder.:rotfl2:

Here are a few 'funnies' for you.

:rotfl2: I'm watching Elf right now and reading these, this is totally cheering me up! Thank you Tim, your a sweet heart for this.

I don't know about Camille but these made me laugh! :rotfl2:

I'm sorry about your cat, Camille.

Thank you Mark. And yes Tim's cartoons totally had me giggling!

I bet you could post an update on your TR, and seeing Ana dancing around and smiling would do just as well to brighten Camille's day......... :rolleyes1
:lmao: Agree, nice job helping your rep there Tim!!! :thumbsup2

Seeing Ana always makes my day. :goodvibes

Camille, I appreciate your vote of confidence but I don't have a whole lot of experience with "So you had to put your Cat down" humor! I guess I need to do a google search and try to find something appropriate! :confused3

In the mean time, just know that we are all here for support, and I am truly sorry you had to go through that situation today. I know it was tough for you, and will be for the rest of your family!

Thank you Marv. I didn't mean to put y'all on the spot, I was just thinking at that moment how I could use some of "the guys" humor so I didn't have to think about what I was thinking about.

((((Camille)))) You are definitely not a fool for breaking down at the Vet's office, or anytime for that matter. I was holding it together pretty well until I got to this post, I knew your sweet words would break down my wall of trying to be tough and not cry anymore.  Your words are so sweet Christine, and you would know better than anyone about losing fur babies. Thank for your sweet words.

Folks, Christine adopts pets who are old and not always healthy, she nurtures them, gives them a wonderful loving home until they pass. She's a true giver and the sweetest person I've had the honor to get to know.

Wow congrats on finishing another 5k especially with the wardrobe problems. Hopefully today your body is feeling a little better.

Camille I'm sorry about your kitty. We haven't had to do that yet, but I know it will be very hard to loose one of our dogs.

Thank you Vamassey (I wish I knew your name), your so sweet to give me encouraging words.

OMG!!!!!! WE just had a tornado about 10 miles from my new house!!!

I know this must have been scary (I grew up in Kansas so I know a thing or two about them), but to put your mind at ease a little....they don't get too big this time of the year. They will do some damage but shouldn't take out a house, if that makes you feel any better. But do take cover, be sure if it's close to slightly open a window before taking cover, if you can.

Go for cover and be safe!!!

What she said! :goodvibes

Camille,
I am so sorry about the cat. I have one that is getting up in years and I fear the day may come where I may have to do the same.

Don't feel bad about your feelings, let them out. You have my number if you need to talk.

Thank you Pat, your so sweet. I'm watching Elf right now and thinking about finally getting something to eat. I love your avatar picture, your hair looks pretty.

Liesa! Congratulations on finishing another big Race! As for wardrobe malfunctions - Oops! Good for you for not letting it stop you!

THanks, Tammie! My legs still hurt so badly I can't squat down to clean the floor- maybe that's a good thing? :confused3

I've learned my lesson about carrying lethal weapons near my goods- that's for sure! :rotfl::lmao:

Well done! I am so glad you could use Bek's shoes! No way could you run with that sole! Sorry about the other wardrobe malfunction, I had this happen to me once (not on a run though) and it is very uncomfortable!!!

I think your time improvement might have been due to the weather. I find temperatures between 50 and 60 best for running and since you were wearing capris, I guess it was not much colder than 50? :thumbsup2

Those letters look really difficult to me, I hope I have some time to do research before you move on... I am very busy this week...

It's time for a new pair of shoes, I guess... ;)

I think it was a combo of good weather, and fewer hills. It was a beautiful day to run, and you're right... it was about 50, and dry. It only started to rain about the time we walked to our car when it was all over.

I think we're ALL going to be very busy this week. I'm back in Salem right now for 3 days, changing beds, cleaning one last time etc...

:sad2: Nope it's not. Thank God for girlfriends! :cheer2:

I hope your going to show us pics of the finished houses. :goodvibes And no calling yourself an idiot!! Your not an idiot, you've got just a few things up in the air right now. Give yourself a break lady. :goodvibes
Oh, and I would love to see pics of the decorations at the Salem house, I know you've been working really hard.

Yes!! Thank God for girlfriends!! Although the guys do bring on the funny!!

I have the pictures, but will have to upload them from a different computer/internet connection. I will try to find somewhere tomorrow!
But that will have to be AFTER I get the cedar and fir cut for my greens to scatter around the house.

Congrats Liesa on your 2nd 5K. You're really doing great! I can't believe all of the obstacles you had to overcome for this one....from sole-searching to enduring stabbing pains to prevent the whole thing from going, um, bust.

The Ho Ho run?! Count me in! I'm a huge fan.

:lmao::lmao::lmao:

My kids wouldn't have touched the ho-hos. They didn't like them at all.

Morning All !! I beat ya'll with the congrats last night ,but I will repeat them Great Ho Ho run!!!Liessa you are awesome !!!:woohoo::woohoo:

THanks, Rosie!! It was great to finish!

Camille, I'm so sorry about your kitty. I know it is heartbreaking to have to be the one to do "the deed." You will definitely have an empty spot in your hearts for awhile. I still miss our dog Ranger. He's been gone for 3 yrs. Call me if you want - just watching the Grinch.

Liesa - two words: Sports Bra! :rotfl2:
and - Tornado? UP there? That's just weird! :scared1:

Good ones, Tim! Made me smile!:thumbsup2

I've learned my lesson about carrying lethal weapons near my goods- that's for sure! :rotfl::lmao:
I never could understand those TV shows where the crooks carry a pistol stuffed in the front of their pants!!! :confused3 I guess that explains a little how their life would head in that direction....... :rotfl:
Yes!! Thank God for girlfriends!! Although the guys do bring on the funny!!
Even Tim!!! :thumbsup2
Thanks! I was trying to keep them PG! LOL:rotfl:
You were worried about PG after the underwire "tray table" story????? :lmao:

Yes, us husbands are NOT talkative at all! DW has to drag conversation out of me.....:)

Dragging stuff out is an ART! Innate to our DNA, and carefully honed to perfection- now if only we had cooperative subjects.

A very attentive crowd, I see..... :thumbsup2

I loved that photo Mikki caught! She has such an eye for good pix!!

Not a good way to start!

Coulda been worse. Had there been no porta potties....

Dang it, I thought I was going to score a Liesa sighting!!! :guilty:

Nope- I"m WAY too short for that pleasure.

It really, really was. You were just too preoccupied to notice..... ;)
Not a good way to finish!!! :scared1:

So, what you're saying is that is both started AND ended pretty bad. Yeah, I'd concur. :lmao:

Congrats on the finish and faster time!!! :cheer2:

Thanks!! That's all that really counts. Right.

Surely Mike was the caring and loving husband and offered to massage your pain away...... :rolleyes1

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiight.

I'm not sure there's a naughty AND nice list??? :confused3

Isn't there?? I've only been on the nice, so I don't really know. :confused3

Now my dilemma; do I spend the countless hours of research required to figure out where T and U are, or do I spend that time finalizing plans and getting ready for my upcoming trip??? What to do, what to do???

T should have been pretty dang easy! And think of it as getting ready for your trip. :lmao:

Liesa, congratulations on finishing another 5K run. I love the squirrel photo watching the pre-race preparations. I'm sorry about the wardrobe mishaps...that had to hurt your time.

Thanks, Kathy~~ Yes, it was a great photo!! I should enter that one. Somewhere. Some day.

No, it was my out of shape legs that hurt my time. :lmao: The lungs exploding didn't help it either. :rotfl2:

Congrats on the 5K, Liesa!

Reading about your triumphs (no matter how slo-go you think they may be) makes me excited to train as well.

Have you ever thought of doing a 5K at Disney? Not sure if that's been discussed here, if it has forgive me. :goodvibes

HI TK!! Running is free.... that is good.

AND, it may, JUST MAY get me another trip to WDW someday. My plan is to enter a 1/2 (hopefully the Wine and Dine and Dash- or whatever they call it) next October. If not then, then hopefully 2012. We'll see...

Great job finishing another 5k! I'm not lying either, you did a great job.

I'll be sure not to wear an underwire when I run my next race. Although if there are ho-ho's at the end, I'll probably just fake an injury and wait in the tent there. :thumbsup2

Thanks, Mark!! Running gets my lazy bum off the couch and is better than bench pressing the laptop. And WAY more fun than leg pressing the vacuum cleaner.

If you ran in Oregon, you might actually see other runners (men) with underwires on. :confused3 We saw some ummm.... creative stuff on Sunday. Really? You LIKE ho-hos?? I think I need to find a Pop Tart Run. And there I wouldn't even have to fake an injury- those naturally occur just in the doing. I still can't walk. :sad2:

Ok, here it is:

Was that one too easy? I thought an easy one was due up. Great job!

Another race?! You rock!!! Have you always been a runner? If not, what made you decide to start? I really wish I could run like that!

NO!!!!! ANd I'm still not a "runner". I hate it with every fiber of my being, but hey, if it gets me a shot of getting to go back to WDW then I'll do it.

I was the LAST "runner" I think, only just barely ahead of the walkers. :sad2: But, like I say, I'll go through any kind of pain to get to go back to Disney!

Great job on the race Liesa!!!!!

As far as the malfunction, was hoping for a.... awww never mind. :sad2: :rolleyes1:

BOW CHICKA WOW WOW.... and my names not SHIRLY!

Hi Tim!! You were NOT! :lmao:

OK, I won't call you Shirly, but every time you use that Bow WOW bit, I crack up!! :lmao:

Well, I suppose you could have ripped it off and discarded it.:confused3 There are usually lots of assorted pieces of discarded clothing along race routes - the long ones, anyway. Don't know that I've ever seen one of those, but no one would fault you!:lmao:

Well, I think the clue for T is:

Yeah, I could have, but here's the "rub"... I had pinned on my bib OVER the zipper of my outer jacket, and couldn't even get that off- even though I was ROASTING!! :lmao:

I remember once Mrs. The King wrote about her underwire coming out in the middle of the Grand Floridian, and her ripping it out and flinging it in the trashcan there. OMGosh, it was the funniest post EVER! I suppose I could have reached up into my shirt and gotten it that way?

I have had that wardrobe malfunction happen to me as well! OWIE! Thankfully not during a race though, I can imagine that would make your run faster.

GREAT job to you both!!!

No clue on the letters...oh wait - I just had an idea on what the U might be, I gotta do some research.

Ha, that's a good "point". Maybe it did make me run faster! :lmao:

OK, not many guesses for u are coming in. Hopefully someone will come up with it.

Hmmm...I can't find a picture of it, so I'll just take a guess anyway, doesn't hurt! :goodvibes

U:

Never hurts to guess!

Hi Leisa,
About the underwire problem, I would suggest looking at the Warner brand, they have a fabulous line of wireless bra's that are really commfy and really give you the uhhhh support you need. I just bought some for my DD and she really loves them, coming from a teen that's a good sign. ;) Cuz you know how picky they can be.

Camille had some good suggestions for a good"support system" as well. I need to find something!! I DO wear a sports one OVER my other one- for double duty. Never can be too careful with the girls. The one I have works pretty well, but is just kinda wearing out.

Sorry Millie that you had to do this all on your own. I remember losing 2 dogs as a kid and it was never easy.

OK I see where I stand.... I'm not the funny one. I guess I need to try a little harder.:confused3 :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Here are a few 'funnies' for you.

:lmao::lmao::lmao: VERY funny- I LOVE the one with the hair dryer!!

Wow congrats on finishing another 5k especially with the wardrobe problems. Hopefully today your body is feeling a little better.

Thanks, Vanessa!!! I am feeling somewhat better- I should be able to get back out by tomorrow- pending a new pair of shoes! :lmao:

Go for cover and be safe!!!

It was a FREAK storm that came up VERY quickly. The emergency broadcast system (mike was tuned in and heard it for the first time in his life) activated for severe thunderstorm warnings, and then only 3 minutes later :scared1: they activated it again for tornados! So really no time to do much- and VERY few people here in Oregon have basements, so there was really no where to go. THankfully, no one was hurt or killed. I"m curious, was it on the national news??

Camille,
I am so sorry about the cat. I have one that is getting up in years and I fear the day may come where I may have to do the same. :sad1:

Don't feel bad about your feelings, let them out. You have my number if you need to talk.

I agree, you can never be ashamed of expressing your feelings about losing something you love. WE're here for you, Camille!!

My crazy guesses
T -

U-

CONGRATS on the 2nd 5K. I need to get my rear moving myself but right now it is so darn cold I figure my shivering is moving enough.

Ok, , got your guesses... !!

I know! That's why I train (I use that word VERY loosely!!) in an indoor track. Toasty warm and flat. :lmao: I"m such a wienie!

That was on the news here in CT. I was wondering if that was close to you. Be safe!!!!!

I wondered if it had made national news. A tornado here happens only about twice a year, and almost always in winter. Aumsville is actually closer to 15 miles away- SO close by tornado standards though. :scared1:

I know this must have been scary (I grew up in Kansas so I know a thing or two about them), but to put your mind at ease a little....they don't get too big this time of the year. They will do some damage but shouldn't take out a house, if that makes you feel any better. But do take cover, be sure if it's close to slightly open a window before taking cover, if you can.

I didn't even know about it until 2 hours after it happened, as I was in the middle of my gingerbread house party in Portland. But just about hte time it happened, our sky got INCREDIBLY dark and scary. I'm sure it was the same cell that caused this tornado.

Oddly, it is in winter that Oregon would get it's tornados, they say. BUT especially in an El Nino year, like we're in. There was one in 2008 in January that took out an entire marina and canoe club on the Columbia River that I remember well. Again, so close to home.

Liesa - two words: Sports Bra! :rotfl2:
and - Tornado? UP there? That's just weird! :scared1:

Good ones, Tim! Made me smile!:thumbsup2

I do wear one. OVER my other one- lesson learned, NEVER wear underwire!! AT least while running.

Yeah, weird for sure!!! I'm just so thankful no one was hurt. The pictures coming out of Aumsville are incredible!!

Thanks! I was trying to keep them PG! LOL:rotfl:

My kids loved them too!

I never could understand those TV shows where the crooks carry a pistol stuffed in the front of their pants!!! :confused3 I guess that explains a little how their life would head in that direction....... :rotfl:

YEAH, that would explain it! Reminds me of the guy who got stuck in a heating duct while trying to rob a Thrifty Store. THey found his body the day after. :sad2:

You were worried about PG after the underwire "tray table" story????? :lmao:

Gotta tell it like it is! :rotfl2:

Thank you Vamassey (I wish I knew your name), your so sweet to give me encouraging words.

It's Vanessa.

I think my oldest just moved into your part of the country. He and his wife are living in Pflugerville. She just got a job in Austin.
