I LOVE liverwurst!!! Heck I love liver anything, mostly. In fact, liver shashlik is fabulous with loads of raw onions. Now, don't you want to sit next to me in church?? :lmao::lmao::lmao:

So glad you got caught up!! Hope those links helped you out with that!

I think you can sew! Anyone who can read and follow directions can sew. Well, anyone who is willing to call a friend when the get stuck can sew... ;)

And now, I am about half way done with Germany, and will then move into our time in Bowling Green- THEEEEEEEEEEEEEEENnnn we'll get to Disney. Phew~

I hate to miss anything so I read it all.

My mom tried to teach me to sew but I just don't have what it takes. :sad2:

Looking forward to the rest!

I had a wonderful DMIL who taught me a lot of what I know as far as baking and sewing go. But I also took a VERY basic class where we made a skirt or something. I basically forgot everything I learned there, and now mostly call up a friend when I have a question (like for zippers).

I think it's a useful, but not necessary skill these days. Fun for costumes and for making something that you just really want a certain look for. :thumbsup2

Great update with more cool German things. I hope everyone was able to participate in the big fun that aft......

What a yummy breakfast! I love bread - any kind of bread. Liverwurst for breakfast? Not so much.

The castle looked beautiful, and so did the princess!princess: I'm not sure what kind of beast she conquered, but it is pretty strange looking!

I hope everyone gets "up to snuff" soon.

Sorry you haven't heard about a job yet, Liesa. God has a plan.

Hope you have a great weekend! I'll be really busy, but I'm going to do an update tonight on my TR.

Ahh.... the suspense of it all! Will Mikki get to see ANYTHING?? I should have another update coming up very soon- hopefully tonight, in fact.

I've said many times before, "Bread is merely a vehicle for what it put upon it." HOWEVER... when it was baked a couple hours before its consuming, well then, that's a whole different story. I'd be very interested to see if Magdalene knows what the rabbit with huge bulging eyes is supposed to be. I was certainly interested to learn about the controversy of the other fountain! What a public scandal that was!

I am not worried. I really don't HAVE to work, but thought it'd be nice to pick up some extra cash during the holidays.

My "weekend" started last night when the older girls and I went English Country dancing again. Every Thursday between the balls, they have a 2 hour lesson/dance time. :love:Oh we had such a great time!!!! The music is so pretty, and when everyone does the dances "right" it just looks fabulous!! :goodvibes

:lmao:

Well, I was more thinking that you might wonder if I needed a piece of Trident. I hate it when I end up sitting next to someone who drank as much coffee as me. :lmao: Peeeee-eewwww!!

N is for Never Give UP!, Not hard, and Nice and Easy!

Go ahead, make your guess by PMing me. Of course, I'd love to hear from you on the thread as you pick up an easy point here!

Good luck!

I knew this was easy points!! Keep your guesses coming, you're doing great!!

This is a good one. I'm pretty sure I know it, PM'ed you the answer. :goodvibes
I've not been on my game the last couple of days, I've been gone all last evening and part of today. But I think I'm caught up now.....well, at least on here.

Thank you Magdalene for all the information on the fountains, and buildings. I guess it's a big no-no to sit on the statues there in Germany? :confused3 :scared:
Here in the states, at least for the most part, it's an okay thing to do. I know there are some I wouldn't get on but for the most part if you can get to them and it's easy to get on them, it's the thing people do.
It's wild learning about the differences from country to country, I feel I'll know so much before I get to Germany. :goodvibes

It's kinda crazy to think about not walking on grass, but that's just the thing I've always known. I think I'll be seriously worried about what's okay and what's not when I visit other countries. I'll have to study a lot I guess. :goodvibes

Thank you Glenn i don't feel sooooo stupid !!!:worship::goodvibes:lmao:Have to work in a while and then stand out in the cold to watch Kyle in a parade !!!Oh the things we do for the kids !!!:scared1:;)

I had to "research" as I've had to do for every, single, one of these.

Football season ended last night, so no more sitting in cold bleachers to watch the marching band!!! :cool1:

All caught up. I do hope everyone gets past the pukies ( sp?) and is able to have a positive memory in Germany.

I guessed but I was not 100%.

It's fun to have some easy ones as well!! :thumbsup2

Too true! By the way!!! Happy, happy birthday!!!! Hope you have a wonderful day, my friend!

Easy for who????? I haven't gotten one !!Do I win the LOSERS prize !!!:lmao:

Well.... it would certainly help to keep your title, Rosie- you won that last time, too. :rotfl2:

This is a good one. I'm pretty sure I know it, PM'ed you the answer. :goodvibes

You generally have to make a zillion mistakes before you really understand another culture- they hows and whys are often confusing and stressful to learn, espcially in a shame culture where, if you make a mistake, you are going to hear about it under no certain terms. I remember one time, we were walking around the mausoleum in Turkistan and my son was spitting sunflower seed shells on the sidewalk some distance away from it. (EVERYONE else was also) THere were a group of police, some uniformed, some not, who stopped us and started yelling at us. Not only could we only barely understand what they were saying, but one in particular was being a real a$$ about the whole thing. Finally, one of his friends told him to knock it off, and they let us go. I was mad for days, and finally had to just give it to God and move on. Sorry, long story just to say that every culture has its norms, and some are better at dealing with breaches of it.

I finally got it, but it wasn't easy for me either Rosie!

Glad it wasn't TOOOOOOOOOOOO easy!

How was the parade, Rosie? The last REAL parade I went to was the Rose Parade here in Portland about 12 years ago. Made me miss my marching band days! Fun stuff that was!

I had to "research" as I've had to do for every, single, one of these.

Football season ended last night, so no more sitting in cold bleachers to watch the marching band!!! :cool1:

Another basement session, eh?? Library filmstrips and all.

All caught up. I do hope everyone gets past the pukies ( sp?) and is able to have a positive memory in Germany.

I guessed but I was not 100%.

Not for a while yet....

Ok, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOW I'm going to check my inbox.
