Hey, if I can still be writing about a trip that occurred 14 months ago, you can write about Christmas 2 months ago. :rotfl:

Loved hearing about your Christmas.

Liessa loved the Christmas pix !!!!How great to celebrate with your family after 12 years !!

I see Marv is getting bashed by all !!!! Of course he is doing more than his fair share of bashing and for once I wasn't the Target!!!!:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Thanks for sharing your Christmas with us! I can't believe it's already been 2 months ago!

Actually quite the opposite! My size is very easy to find! Which makes me think my feet are either so big that nobody else is buying that size or that there are more people with my size feet. I'm going to go with the latter I think!

Aren't those bars addicting? They are delicious! Oh Liesa, we are so on the same page sister, I LOVE gingersnaps!:thumbsup2

Bummer that you have to wait yet again for results! So I'm assuming the hyda scan included radioactive dye then? You poor thing Liesa, I hope you're hanging in there ok!

:teeth:

I would think then that it must be a fairly common size. I wouldn't really have a clue, though. Everyone in my family is a 7 or under. :confused3

YES!! They are! I couldn't keep my chubby fingers out of the pan..:sad2::rolleyes:

I guess it was a radioactive "marker" that pooled in my liver, then gall bladder. Then after 45 minutes, he gave me a shot to send it out of the GB, and that's what they timed and scanned.

Ugh. How annoying that you have to wait until Monday!

I'm a bit jealous! Have a wonderful time with that wonderful woman!

I know!

Don't be jealous. Buy a ticket.

A merry Christmas! Thanks for sharing!

My oldest sister dated a guy who hunted, until he took her target shooting and she outshot him.

HAHA! I guess that would be a bit of an ego buster.

I really enjoyed your Christmas update. Fabulous pictures of all the events.

Wowsa on the tree. I can tell you I would never find a tree that beautiful for $15. Not in a million years.

I am so impressed by all the lovely gingerbread houses. Not the GF gingerbread house, but beautiful just them same. That looks like it was a lot of fun.

Thanks again for the great update!

Thanks!! It was a full month, for sure!

I guess living with 50 tree farms (or more) within a few miles has its advantages.

The kids sure put a lot of heart and soul into them; they turned out great for what they had to work with!

Loved hearing about your Christmas.

Well, I got to seeing everyone's posts about their Christmasses at Disney, I thought I should share mine as well. I really and truly did think of many of you during the holidays.

Liessa loved the Christmas pix !!!!How great to celebrate with your family after 12 years !!

It had been way too long since we've all been under one roof! And we had a great time!

Poor Marv!

Thanks for sharing your Christmas with us! I can't believe it's already been 2 months ago!

I can't believe it either. Time really flies!

Great post about Christmas Liesa!! :thumbsup2 I loved seeing all the pics. :goodvibes
I'm a bit jealous! Have a wonderful time with that wonderful woman!

Oh I'm sure we'll make good use of our time together gabbing, drinking wine and having a good time calling phone booths in the UK. Wish you could be there.

A merry Christmas! Thanks for sharing!

OOooooh that sounds like my kind of gal. :woohoo:

It's amazing what you can find when you do an Image Search and type in "Nuclear Poop". :lmao:
:lmao::lmao::lmao:

Liesa----

Great pics from the ball! :thumbsup2

Gingerbread houses?? That was like a whole metropolis!!!

$15 tree? I spent $45 for ours this year. :sad2: I think next year I am just going to hike through the woods till I find one.

I see your family is well versed in handling firearms.... Remember that post I made about Hairy Feet on Molly's TR tonight??? ... I take it back. :flower3:

Liesa, thank you very much for the wonderful Christmas post! I think your home looked very lovely and welcoming for the season. :goodvibes

Your cookie plate looks like it could be from Germany, not only the cookies, but also the plate! That's a very traditional China pattern here in Europe. :thumbsup2

Just for the record. ;) (Post #407- your own TR)
I never said I didn't call myself a dicTAtorship, just that Dan must have helped you with the spelling! Otherwise, I don't have a clue what a diCAtorship IS??? :confused3
Oh shush Marv!

Are you saying that a girl can't be dainty with size 9 1/2 feet??
Hmmmm........no, not me, I would NEVER infer such a thing!
Hey!!! I thought my idea for 7 layers bars was actually quite good! Someone around the boards claims to be an expert but I hear the edges get a tad burned...:rolleyes1
That isn't the problem. I was just saying you spoiled the surprise with your uh daintiness, so I guess I would have to go with the other choice! :sad2: Of course if you won Molly, I might think about making you some EIGHT layer bars....... :rolleyes1
As for 7 layer bars... I just made some the other night!! You're right, those woudl be an EXCELLENT prize. But to make it a prize package, we'd need gingersnaps to go along with them!
You did use the recipe and special baking secrets I shared in my TR didn't you???
Aren't those bars addicting? They are delicious! Oh Liesa, we are so on the same page sister, I LOVE gingersnaps!:thumbsup2
Oh brother, I so had higher hopes for Liesa... :guilty:
Bummer that you have to wait yet again for results! So I'm assuming the hyda scan included radioactive dye then? You poor thing Liesa, I hope you're hanging in there ok!
Liesa, just make sure you stay away from any radiation monitors...... ;)
I see Marv is getting bashed by all !!!! Of course he is doing more than his fair share of bashing and for once I wasn't the Target!!!!:rotfl2::rotfl2:
Jealous???

Loved the Christmas updates Liesa! Thanks for sharing some of your family traditions with us! Some great food pics in there too, and using Smarties for the roof of the gingerbread houses instead of gumdrops..... :thumbsup2

Ooooh, love your Christmas updates Liesa! Sigh, don't you wish it lasted longer than a day? I love Christmas and it seems to fly by quicker and quicker every year. That's just so wrong.

Your baked goods look delish! I think a tiny bit of drool just dropped onto my keyboard!

Ugh, we spent $90 on our tree this year. We go to the same place every time and every time I tell DH that it's too much money! How fun though to traipse through the snow and select your own tree! Reminds me of Christmas Vacation! And I love this pic of your sweet kiddos!

Love all the pics from the ball! How fun, very Jane Austenish too.:thumbsup2 Were there specific dances you all did too? Looks like a blast!

This German stein is gorgeous! DH would love it.

That Mission Mill looks amazing! I'd book a homeschool field trip there in a second. And was this yarn made from the looms inside?
Christmas2010021.jpg

I have a large family myself (about 20 first cousins on one side of the family:eek:!) and I can't tell you how much fun our Christmases were! Everyone packed tightly inside like a Christmas cracker! But that was all part of the fun and I have such wonderful memories of those times.

Thanks for sharing your Christmas with us Liesa, it looks like you had a lovely, festive time!:goodvibes

(Where have all the ducks gone?!)

i think someone needs a lesson in gun safety...dont you remember you shot them with your gun 2 pictures ago.:sad2:

why go through the whole woods, when you can just cut down one of your neighbors at night like i do.
:rolleyes1

Thank you for sharing your christmas with us Liesa! Those were some impressive gingerbread houses. Your girls are talented.

The last time I tried to build a Gingerbread house it ended in a bit of diaster. It was my bright idea to get a kit from Wilton to make with my cousin Mia when she was 5. When the icing wasn't holding the wall of the house together, I resorted to Elmer's glue and figured "no one eats these things anyways." When that still didn't work, the whole darn kit when in the trash, at least Mia was entertained by my frustration.

I also love the fancy ball! It's so Charles Dickens. Do you watch Firefly? The girls' Asian style dresses remind me of the Shindig from Firefly.

:rolleyes1

About 1 mile from our house there is an old Christmas tree farm that has since closed. The whole property is getting run down but there is still a house there that somebody lives in... I can see the headlines now. 'Man trespassing shot while trying to steal Christmas Tree.' :sad2: :sad2:

WOW!!!! Congratulations! I hope your recovery goes smoothly, and that you're feeling great soon!

And Liesa, I hope you get some easily-treated results back from all your tests ASAP.

Now on to the update...what a wonderful Christmas. Though I have to say: 22 PEOPLE???!!! Holy mackerel!

Those gingerbread houses are awesome. Your kids must have so much more patience than I do! :thumbsup2

WHY, oh why, do we women feel compelled to make the floors sparkle and the cupboards cleaned when mom comes around??
Oh, I hear ya. My DH's response to my guest-inspired cleaning flurries usually trends toward: "Nory, just relax. Just ignore the mess, no one cares." If I think about this too hard, it makes me get very frustrated about certain seemingly unavoidable gender inequalities. So I try not to dwell on it too much!

I love this picture -- the contrast of the tree with the incredible lushness outside the window. I would give a lot for that view!

:rolleyes1
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Oh, you just paid me back for yesterday when the person in the next room was looking at you funny.....

:woohoo: Tanya Sweetie!!! I am beside myself thrilled for you!!! Glad they found you a kidney after such a long wait, that the surgery went well, and things are working smoothly so far! Will say a prayer that everything will continue to progress and you'll be back on your feet and enjoying Disney again real soon!!! :dance3: :cheer2:

Oh my goodness Tanya!:goodvibes This is wonderful news! Wow, I had no idea you'd been waiting 6 years, that must have seemed like a lifetime to you! I'm so glad to hear the surgery was successful. I hope you're taking it easy and getting as much rest as you can in the hospital. Though it's probably difficult with nurses coming into your room at all hours to check on you, right?:goodvibes You can use your recovery time to be on the disboards! Best wishes for a rapid recovery and your new kidney!
