I am lucky it is nice here. So much easier to get out and walk/run.

I am up for it as long as i can keep up.

So do you get out and run??? ever thought of doing a disney race??

OK, I"m putting on my thinking cap, and cooking up something fun.

Liesa, I'm loving your post host updates! I've never noticed those invention tiles before...next time I'm there, I'll have to look down more often!

I hope you're feeling less crappy today...

Yes! Look up AND down; there's lots to take in! (And shhhh... don't tell anyone, but I'm not sure if I'd have noticed them either, if it hadn't have been for me Hidden Magic of disney book. ;))

Flights of Wonder! Of course! :headache:
durr.gif

Gotcha!! ;)

Dang, I thought I responded to your update Liesa! Anywho, your post host post is fabulous!

Doncha hate that?? It's a post-sucking monster that lurks around here!!

Ugh, flags. Tour group flags. Brazilian tour group flags. Or cheerleaders. Which is the lesser of two evils?

If they would all just be better behaved. In general.

You know, I've never seen that hidden mickey on SE! I am soooo going to look for it next time. I love that ride, don't you? The first time I rode it, I was that annoying person who used the flash on their camera! When we got off, DH was like 'uh Molly, that was kinda rude that you were flashing everyone on the ride!' Oops! Never happened again after, I swear!

I do love that ride!! I always see something new when I ride it.

I only got those few because the ride stopped, and I could hold the POC steady-ish. As for flashing.... please- keep it to folks you've only met once before. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

What the? The Civil war is over?? Hold on, I have to go check Yahoo and see if that's true...ok, I'm back and you were right! Thanks for letting me know.:thumbsup2 And here I thought the North and South still had issues with one another!

yes, it's now over, although Iknow many who'd disagree. Obviously still issues out there.

I saw those stones too, or plaques I suppose! We actually stopped to read a bunch of them. I'd never noticed before, probably because I'm usually walking insanely fast to Soarin'! They were cool though, huh?

I think they are great conversation starters for lunch at SS. :thumbsup2 but then again, if you linger too long on the importance of the radio, you might blow the all-important decision of which dessert to get. :lmao:

Another great update! You are the best futuristic tour guide ever! Maybe you send this update down to Disney so they can hire you?;)

hmmm.... I'm liking this idea.... did you know I was a CM back in the day??

See, I knew you and Liesa would get along fine!!!!! At least Liesa had the decency to be behind closed doors! I bet you made some teenage boys very happy!!!! :lmao::lmao:

popcorn::popcorn::popcorn::

I think it's the beginning of a beautiful friendship. ;) (There's a movie for ya'll.)

popcorn::popcorn::popcorn::

Oh good grief Tim! If I made a bunch of teenage boys happy, it was probably because I gave them our unused FP's, not from flashing them! You're too much! I should probably rephrase that whole post about flashing on the ride now!:headache::laughing:

The tour groups are overly, what's the word, enthusiastic! We actually saw cheerleaders in front of Rock n Rollercoaster doing jumps and back flips off the railings!

Spaceship Earth is fabulous. I love everything about it. My DD11 would disagree with me though. Apparently she thinks that the whole ride is going to fall off of the braces and we're going to roll around Epcot! She doesn't like it all, thinks it's unsafe!

:lmao:Yes, I'll keep the flashing to a minimum! I really need to reword that post! People are going to think I'm like those crazy kids on Splash Mountain who take off their shirts or something!

I had a good time reading those little plaques and trying to figure out the connection between them. The homeschooling mom in me was like, look girls, these were all inventors!

I had no idea you used to be a CM! When? Lucky!:goodvibes

Oh yes, a beautiful friendship! Totally!:thumbsup2

I can assure you I have NEVER gone longer than 3 and a half days without a shower!!! :rolleyes1

There was a time or two, not so long ago, when I could have said, "At least you have an indoor shower!"

:lmao:Yes, I'll keep the flashing to a minimum! I really need to reword that post! People are going to think I'm like those crazy kids on Splash Mountain who take off their shirts or something!

See!! Now you're a victim, of "Let's mince words..." Welcome to my DISWorld, Molly!

I worked in the Blue Bayou Restaurant as a hostess. It was great fun! Can you imagine working INSIDE the Pirates!?

It looks like I'll have to be more careful when choosing my words now! Thanks for the welcome to the world of mincing words! Is there a support group yet for that world?? Sheesh, those boys are trouble, aren't they?:sad2:

The Blue Bayou! Lucky dog! This summer we went to Disneyland for the first time and that was the ONLY place I wanted to eat lunch at, because it was inside the Pirates ride! Sadly I was vetoed by pretty much everyone in our party. Oh if only DH was with me, he'd have said fine, you all go eat counter service and Molly and I will eat at Blue Bayou! Pirates is his favorite ride.:thumbsup2

Morning Post Host!!!!!!:rotfl2:

Good Evening- Reader Sneader!

so you are the one that takes the bright flash pictures on the dark rides....just to have pictures to entertain your TR readers.
:thumbsup2

way to go and i know that this is something you dont need to hear, since you are a expert on the situation but, by all means flash away my friend flash away.
Smiley_Camera.gif

It was Molly! Not me! I only took a couple on hmmmm... which one was it?? Oh yes, Figment- it was the VERY last ride of the night and I was the only one within 50 yards of the Pavilion.

Great update Liesa!

Glad you commited 2.4 min to properly record the moment for future generations.

So great of you to pop in, Mister Biscuit!!

someone had to do it.... ;) I know no one else will! :lmao:

I think you make a great Liesa Jetson! You totally are rockin that smile. You got some great pictures inside the ride. I didn't know that hidden Mickey existed. Very cool!

You whole post was cracking me up! Way to go on back to back Soarin rides. I love the picture of the feet. I am going to try that one in May. ;)

I got a few- they are so stinking hard to get when your Futuristic Space Rocket is lurching and bumping its way through time! :headache: Not to mention the darkness and ummm... well, less than adequate equipment- The Dreaded (and now completely defunct) POC.

double Soarin' is the ONLY way to do an early EPCOT morning! Seriously, grab a FiP and ride or vice versa- Easy as 1, 2!!

I think with your LARGER investment in photo gear, you'll do just fine at foot voyeurism. I'll be looking for that in the TR!

She's on the mend now - thanks!

Great to hear!!! Most of the time, they just need a couple days of laying low and some tylenol :)

That is so weird that even a smell could do that?!

I know!! I was rather shocked to hear that!

I really like the Jammitors - I usually watch for 3.4 minutes!

WOW! You really do like them!

So - no GB removal today? No, not you Great Biscuit, you can stay;) How frustrating! Has the pain subsided at all?

No. :headache: More tests, more try this, try that... It has been frustrating, and all I can say, is that I really hope they can explain why my upper right quadrant (I'm learning this is a favorite phrase they use) is sore. It isnt' in attack mode, just sort of sore and tender all the time. :confused3

I can't tell you how many times they've (those naughty boys) have called me out for misplaced syntax. Silly me- thinking they could figure it out. Ah well, sure makes for some funny stuff sometimes. You can rant here anytime- ranting about Marv or Glenn's games though will have to be directed over there. :lmao:

OK, here's a fun fact: If you hear an owl hoot in the entrace scene, just near the restaurant, it is actually a signal to check the water level. Pretty cool stuff, eh??

I have to say, it was HARD work!! They paid well, but man it was long days because you had to arrive so early for costuming and walking all the way to your area. But it was fun!

Moving the scale DOWN is such a good thing. I can't believe how 5 months of running last spring/summer put me in the best shape I've been in for years! Alas, I've let it go, and can really see a difference. I know I can start again soon, and can really train until November, then I'll by then know my city well enough that I can find a good gym and continue on with a treadmill until spring 2012. Then after that, it'll be just a few short months until that 1/2 I"m really looking forward to. I think 18 months is more than plenty of time to be ready. :goodvibes:banana:

DUH!! OF COURSE it was!! How could I have forgotten that??!! Guess it's been too long since I've seen Luther. I grew up in the Lutheran church too- I should have known that without even thinking. :sad2:

The good thing about running is that even though you lose fitness when you stop training, restarting is becoming much easier. I am sure you will find that when you go out again it will not be nearly as hard as your first runs! And your 18 months plan sounds great! :thumbsup2

Don't worry about not remembering every detail about Luther! I am sure a lot of Lutherans here in Germany don't know either and for them it is not only about the history of their church, but also about the history of their language...

I am so far behind! :scared1: :headache: I will catch up but it may take me awhile, I can't resist reading all of the chatter.
I do want to answer when you asked me if I had read your PTR, see how behind I am. No, I hadn't read your PTR so I was unaware of the significance of your Grandmother and DHS.

Now on to read! :surfweb:

It was me, not Liesa! And I swear, I only did it the one time!:laughing: I'm sure nobody even noticed, it's not like it's dark inside Spaceship Earth. Ugh, thinking back on it now, I can't believe I did it! Let me stress, this was BEFORE I joined the disboards so I'm going to have to plead ignorance here.;)

It was Molly! Not me! I only took a couple on hmmmm... which one was it?? Oh yes, Figment- it was the VERY last ride of the night and I was the only one within 50 yards of the Pavilion.

Guilty as charged. I'm so ashamed!

Figment? Are you sure that pavillion had ANY people at all? It looked like a ghost town when we walked by it! I think I heard some Clint Eastwood spaghetti western music playing in the background...

:sad2:Boys! I'm sure I'll fall victim again to some grammatical error and then be raked over the coals for it!:headache::laughing:

Oooooh, CM secret information!:woohoo: Cool! (If we ever head back to Disneyland, I'm eating there and nobody is going to stop me!) I think it sounds like great fun to have worked there. I worked at an amusement park where I grew up but it was only kiddie rides and games. While it was fun, I'd have loved to have dressed up.

I can assure you I have NEVER gone longer than 3 and a half days without a shower!!! :rolleyes1
then you are totally within the guide lines and remember if it happens to rain during that time, or you walk through a sprinker it counts and you can start your number back at 0 days.
:thumbsup2

sounds like you were in the principal office on that line.

well anything before the dis boards you can play the ignorance card...
:thumbsup2

ignorance after the dis boards, you might as well change your name to marv.
:lmao:

Don't forget Glenn accused me of FLASHING on POTC!!!!!:lmao::lmao::lmao:

:eek:Glenn would never...would he?;)

sounds like you were in the principal office on that line.

:lmao:

Sadly I was.;) I had to write out "I will not use my flash on dark rides" 100 times on the chalkboard. I *may* have used the flash on Snow White's ride too, again pre-disboard membership of course!

My thinking exactly!:thumbsup2

:rotfl: I wonder if Marv holds a record for being abused on numerous TR's at the same time!:lmao:

i think we can give him that title.
:thumbsup2

and it isnt really abuse if you have it coming to you is it?

When you're a kid, you can count days you went swimming as "bath days". ::yes::

I just pointed it out -- she readily admitted it!

That spoon he carries is for "dishing it out", so yeah.

I know, and I am looking forward to getting back out there- just after the big snowstorm we are expecting this week! :scared1: Poor Zach has a big school play (Annie) that is supposed to be on Thursday and Friday, both days of which might be cancelled.

Anyway, I have lots of time to get ready, and I am excited- maroo said she might be up for another trip by then too!!

too true!! History for me is so interesting, yet easy for me to forget the details about. Even after having been entertained by way of movie.

I am so far behind! :scared1: :headache: I will catch up but it may take me awhile, I can't resist reading all of the chatter.

The chatter is really a lot of the fun, and there are so many witty and hilarious people that post here!

You don't need to go back and read everything though; that might take a very long time! ;) Anyway, it's so great to have you back!! The more the merrier, as they say!

Guilty as charged. I'm so ashamed!

I have an extra cone of shame we pass around these parts. :lmao: I think Tim has it. Mel gave it to him after taking the picture with his whip.

I really do enjoy the Figment ride. I know, I"m one of a VERY small minority, but to me, (and I know it must have been WAY, WAY, better in its past days of glory) it's so old school Disney. Just a happy dark, silly ride- and best of all it has a great gas gag. (no pun intended there)

Imaaaaaaaaaaaaa-gination, Imaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagination,

Now get that out of your head. :lmao::lmao:

You can get the same Cobb Salad at HBD if you want, but the better, signature dish is the Monte Cristo Sandwich, mmmm. mmmmm; a gall bladder attack on a plate. :cloud9:

does my hot tub count?? I use that regularly. You should see it when I soap up!! :lmao::lmao::lmao: (just kidding ladies, I promise a clean jacuzzi for your visit!!)

He has a peculiar way of showing his appreciation too!

:rotfl: I wonder if Marv holds a record for being abused on numerous TR's at the same time!:lmao:

I refuse to take any part of Marv bashing- I am, afterall in the running for a unique and cool prize package in his game! :woohoo::cool1::banana:
