The ABC's of Trip Planning, Pt 1- K is for Keeping Things Kooky- Drinks V-Z; pg. 197 + New Link

I'm alive. Mostly.

I have some news that you might be interested in. I certainly was!

So the Code person.... He actually DID make it! From us he was sent down to ICU, where he in fact coded again. He was one of those that they saw him being eligible for organ transplant very soon so had actually made calls to them and started some initial screenings. But miraculously, he rallied and I got to care for him last night!! Everyone I've talked to said they've never seen anything like this before! To have coded twice and be a hair's width away from medical death come back with such a recovery. Truly amazing for me to have gotten to see the process.

Anyway, I am late in getting started on my little write ups I have to do after each shift. So better get to it.

Meantime, I think my interview went quite well. They seemed impressed I had lived in Crapistan for 10 years putting up with all kinds of poop. Maybe they figure I can transfer one kind of poop-putting-up-with to another better than others. At least that's the hope. I'll know in a week or so.

I'm alive. Mostly.

That's mostly good!

You're pregnant! Congrats!

No?

So the Code person.... He actually DID make it!

What???

The reports of his death were greatly exaggerated.

But miraculously, he rallied and I got to care for him last night!!

Wow. On many levels.

Fingers crossed.
Eyes too...

I'm having trouble seeing, though.

Wow! That's quite the miracle!

Fingers and toes crossed for the new job!

That's mostly good!

Better than being mostly dead.

You're pregnant! Congrats!

No?

Now THAT would be a miracle.

What???

The reports of his death were greatly exaggerated.

I'm not sure they were. When the organ donation process is initiated, things are almost certainly in the most dire of ways. The conversations were had with family about what to see/expect as he transitioned to death.

Wow. On many levels

The story really came full circle.

Fingers crossed.
Eyes too...

I'm having trouble seeing, though.

I'll bet you look funny!

Wow! That's quite the miracle!

Fingers and toes crossed for the new job!

Thanks, Jill!! It's a topsy-turvy time.

Better than being mostly dead.

Wait. I thought we were talking about you, not you're nearly coded patient.

Now THAT would be a miracle.

Immaculate one might say.

When the organ donation process is initiated, things are almost certainly in the most dire of ways.

I hope so!
"Doctor, little Timmy has a bit of a sore tummy."
"I see. Has anyone discussed organ donation with you?"
"What?!?!?!?!"

I'll bet you look funny!

I get that a lot.

That is wonderful news! And I always suspected that your experience raising a family in a third world country will be something that is an asset on your CV. At least if the employer has half a brain. But it seems that American employers are far more willing to accept unusual experiences as qualifications as it is the case here, where most employers want a streamlined career path. Things are getting better, but I have seen many people struggle.

That's great news about the parient, especially for his family!

Great news on the job! I can see where the Crapistan experience would be helpful to a nursing career. Tech, programming, or Web design, not so much.

Fingers crossed. I'm keeping up with chatter and banter, but big updates may have to wait until the week after next.

Wow, that's a double dose of good news! I'm glad the patient actually made it and your interview went well!

Nope, those were starts. From ACE Hardware. LOL! I've tried from seed so many times with utter failure, I've given up completely. I need to finish off this bed though with carrot seed, the one I"m still willing to try.

Hm. Our Ace didn't have cabbage starts last year. I did end up getting tomatoes and peppers there.

Amazing about the guy who coded surviving! And fingers crossed on the interview!

Oh My!!!! He's not Dead yet!!!!

I really hope he continues to improve. He is nothing short of a miracle.
Certainly not what what you are trained to expect.

Good news on the job too. Hope they get back with you soon.

Never, ever, let someone have your pie.

This is a rule that cannot be stressed enough.
If you ask me to share my pie, I will say yes.
But I will resent it.

Two pies are > one pie. But Two pi R is the circumference of a pie.

:rotfl2::rotfl::lmao:

Before things go downhill even more, I'll say good night. Hoping to get some beachy pix tomorrow and just relax a bit. :artist:

PS - I'll take the pie r squared.

Sounds nice. I hope to sleep tomorrow, but guessing the puppy might say otherwise.

I don't care if it's square, round, or rhomboid. I just want pie.

Night Liesa. I've still got another five and a half hours to go.

Hang in there! I know all too well how tough nights are. Especially if you don't drink coffee.
