The AAA lounge at MK?

I saw this mentioned in another post and am wondering if anyone can give me information on it--where is it, who can relax there, etc. Thanks.

The AAA lounge at the MK has been closed since the first of the year.
It's replacement is the Character Storytelling Experience, which is a bonus you get for booking a package with AAA. This is where a character tells a story and then there is a photo op at the end for those in attendence. Takes about 1/2 hour out of your day on a Tuesday or Thursday.

I heard about this as well. Where in MK is it located, I haven't been able to find it anywhere on a map or in a description? Has anyone been to the Story Telling Experience? Is this for "children" or all ages? Is it worth attending? I read that advanced reservations were required......any information would help decide whether to include this in our planning. Thanks!!

We booked our trip through AAA and went last October - they gave us a voucher to use for one drink each at the lounge - could only be used weekdays - no holidays and I believe for certain hours during the day, something like 12pm - 4pm. It had no mention of storytelling. We never did use it.

The lounge is in the MK in Tomorrowland. When you get your documents, they actually provide you with a map, because it looks like a brown trailer (so I've heard). I've had adults go to the storytelling as well as families. The story varies each time, and so do the characters that appear and read the story. It's only Tuesdays and Thursdays, two or three times a day, and takes only about 20 minutes.

We went to the AAA lounge at the end of January, so it definately hasn't been closed since the beginning of 2006. We just had a soda and took a break, but it was a nice quiet place.

I second that it's not closed. We were at WDW 1/11- 1/17/06 and got drink and story telling vouchers. We could not use the storytelling vouchers because they only offered it on Thursdays or Mondays 3 different times, each between 5:00 and 6:00.

The lounge is a nice, quiet place and has a clean bathroom too!

I just got aaa lounge/drink vouchers and story telling vouchers for our upcoming trip (feb 25-mar4). When I scheduled story telling I was told Monday thursday and so I scheduled an inconvenient time on thursday. I now must make yet another call to find out if tuesday was an option.

The lounge can be easy to miss. Look for a gate between the Carousel of Progress and the Galaxy Palace Theater. The gate has a AAA sign on it. Just go through the gate and down the path, which will take you sort of behind the CoP to a door that is marked as the AAA lounge. Last time we were there (and it has been a year), they have nice bathrooms and a lounge area with comfy seating, AAA travel info and a TV usually playing Disney movies. It's a nice place to relax, especially if it's hot, and have your free soda.

I know the vouchers say 1 visit/1 drink. But can you go back and jus not get the drink (for the clean bathrooms and airconditioning?)

Last June I had a CM tell me that they were going to close the lounge down very soon. He couldn't tell me when but the opinion he gave me was when COP was going to close, it was going to close as well. I came back and talked to my AAA agent about this and she told me that they were not going to close it but rather move it towards the front of the park. I believe she mentioned something about it being moved over there by the train station.
