I know this is probably a long shot question, but does anyone know approximately how far the YC is from the "imagine" parking lot at Epcot? I have to be there for the 5k race and want to guage whether I need to get a ride, can walk there, etc..

I'm just guessing here but if you are talking about the Royal Family Race next weekend, I doubt very much they will open the International Gateway at 6 AM to let you walk all the way through Epcot and out the front of Epcot to the Imagine parking lot. I'm not sure though. You might have to take a cab from YC to the front of Epcot. Maybe some past racers will know this for sure.

Does the BC (or any resort for that matter) ever run special prices/discounts on suites? I have never seen them listed so just curious. Sure would be nice to book but oh so expensive!

I know this isn't the same thing but we used our 40% pin on a 1 bedroom at BCV. That's our alternative to a suite. With little kids we like having the kitchen and (maybe more importantly!) the washer/dryer.

Have to say that BC CL IPO has been GREAT I'm thrilled.

Other than AKL CL, my recent experiences with IPO (GF and Poly) have left a good bit to be desired.

BC has been perfect - Friendly, enthusiastic, helpful, prompt and just really make me feel as though they want to help me

You know we did look into buying DVC. The only thing that stopped us was that we would need a 2 bedroom (5 people) and the 2 bedroom for two weeks during the summer was astronical! We are going over to look at BLT in July - I know a one bedroom can fit five over there.

AKV also has 1brm villas for 5 too. In case you do decide to buy the points are less at AKV. Also you can book 5 in a 1brm you just have to provide your own bedding. When we stayed at BCV last year I brought along a twin aerobed.

We were told by our managers and I think it was about six months ago that the IG would now open the exact second the front entrance opened so that people at the IG would get to Soarin the same time as the people at the front gate. Supposedly, the CMs at the IG have radios and they coordinate with the CMs that are leading the masses to Soarin from the front entrance and both crowds from both entrances are suppose to get to Soarin at exactly the same time and merge together. I personally have not tried it. Hopefully somebody here on the boards have done it recently and can tell you whether or not it is working the way we were told it was going to work.

Thanks Teena! So glad they finally figured this one out! What is the point of a private entrance if we are gonna be delayed in getting our Soarin' fastpasses?!!

I'm a Soarin' junkie
Last trip I walked at a very fast paceahead of my family. The guests from the front gate were rounding the bend at the same time I made it to the Land. Its actually pretty exciting as they have drums beating and the CM's were wearing Mickey gloves and giving out high 5's.

Right on! 1st hand confirmation that it works as it is supposed to! Phew! Now that is a whole complication that I can toss aside. I soooo want to walk into Epcot from the Gateway in the morning as opposed to driving. And that sounds totally exciting with the drums, ect. Can't wait!

We're off to B/C! We are catching the 7 a.m. out of Jersey and heading into MCO by 10 am. Staying one night at CBR and then 8 nights in B/C! I can't wait, PLUS, I don't have to shovel! LOL!
