Can anyone tell me if they have PB&J uncrustables available in the Club Lounge for kids? What about chocolate milk (the little Nesquick bottles)?

Also, anyone recall what types of beer are available?

Thanks in advance!

Can anyone tell me if the beds in the BCV have pillow top mattresses or if they are rock hard like OKW beds? DH has been having some back issues of late and I was just wondering how the beds were. Any input would be appreciated;)

There are so many pages, so I apologize if this has been answered before, if we are a party of 5, is it guaranteed that we would get the room with the daybed if we just book standard? Just comparing costs/theming/prices of places that are available with a party of 5 and we like the look of BC.

When our family of 5 stayed at the BC over the years, we always had a daybed. From what Teena has posted, you should get one. I do remember a DISer who posted that when their family of 5 checked in late, their room didn't have a daybed. A cot was brought in and I think they moved to another room the next day. However, in all my years on the DIS, that's the only report that I've read. I would try not to worry about it.

Follow up on prior question (and sorry if it was answered).

You may recall discussion some weeks ago about whether a BC room all the way down could be closer to Epcot than to the bus stop. We checked it out on our recent YC trip...and the distances were virtaully identical, but Epcot was slightly closer. We double checked with pedometers. :thumbsup2 We've had a BC room all the way down that last hall few times, and it is darned close to Epcot (and far from bus stop if you snake through the hallways!) And we love walking at Disney so this is not a complaint, just interesting.

We always find something new and fun at YC/BC, no matter how many times we stay there. Thanks to whomever brought this up -- we had fun checking it out.

Very interesting, Helen. :goodvibes Thanks for doing some DIS research and sharing your results.:surfweb:

I know the king bed is a pillowtop. Don't remember if the queen in the 2nd BR/studio is a pillowtop mattress but would venture to guess it is.

Returned last night from 4 nights at BC. We checked in around 10 am, and was told room not ready, but she called mousekeeping and they did have a standard room w/two queens, full balcony & courtyard view ready. We said we'd take it! Yeah! Room 2577!
Room was great, except the next morning 8:00 when they start, we were awakened by a banging sound. There was a service door right across the hall and the hinge was broken and it just kept banging about every 30 seconds as mousekeeping went in and out with their carts. We called front and told them, then that night at about 11:30 we hear the banging again, so we called again. Next morning 8 am, starts again. We had to go to front desk to get new parking pass and told them. When we came back to room that night all the carts were lined in the hall, and next morning (Sunday) no banging. They must have had engineering fix the problem Monday because carts were not in hall again and no more noise.
On Sunday, It was hot & humid, we had been in Epcot all day and went back to room around 3:30 to get cleaned up for dinner. Our room had not been serviced yet. I got my shower, and then niece was in the shower when Mousekeeping knocks on door and dh told her to give us 30 min. She said sorry, if we didn't have room serviced right then, then it wouldn't get serviced. WHAT!!! I was going to call, but we didn't want everyone to think we were the guests from hell because we complained about banging and now room cleaning. She just gave us clean towels and that was that. Other than those two things, my Birthday celebration was perfect.
We had the opportunity to meet and talk with Teena. She's a fantastic lady!!
We told her about the banging door and I believe she helped in getting it resolved. Thank You!!!

Back from a great stay at the BC. Stayed in 2540 facing Epcot with a full balcony. Requested a room close to the lobby but it's always nice seeing Spaceship Earth out my window :). Said Hi to Teena but didn't get a chance to chat. Had an OK breakfast at Cape May with lots of character interaction with the kids. Used both pools and the hot tub. Room was always serviced by 12 as requested. What an awesome resort! It would be great to stay here even without visiting a park. Took the boat to Hollywood Studios. The bus to Magic Kingdom was fast. Love walking to our favorite park--Epcot. Crowds were higher than in the past and so was the temperature! Sad to be back in the cold weather. Can't wait to return!

I was in a hallway that dead-ended but I could hear some noise outside our room but it really wasn't that bad. I don't recall hearing noises from either side of my room though.

I'm sorry you had that experience - maybe a corner room is key (or at the end of the hallway)!

It is interesting, when we stayed at the GF we were at the end of the hall and we never heard anything -- I guess that does help. I feel like Disney must have skimped on some insulation somewhere along the line. I stayed at the Dolphin a few months ago in a mid-hall room and I never heard a peep, even though I know traffic in those long hallways is pretty high.

This won't stop us from trying again -- I booked a bounceback room for next December, and maybe this time we'll make an end of hallway room request!

I was thinking about staying here and I am trying to decide between standard room or one bedroom villa. I am leaning toward villa but I am wondering how comftorable are the sofa beds. My 10 year old gets picky. We have seen some awful ones in the past, not at Disney, but at other places where you can feel the springs. How are Disney's? Also how spread out is this resort. Is it a hike to get to the pool. THanks so much for your help!!!

I will check out the beers later, but I think they have changed...nightly..husband knew: Bud Light, Heinekin, Long Hammer, (my dh didn't like) and Samuel Adams Winter lager.

No PB and J uncrustables, sigh...but they have buns with PB and J on the side...chocolate milk only at breakfast in an urn...

Thanks for the info.

:( about the Uncrustables. They had them at the Grand Californian Concierge, and our 5 year old LIVED on them. Other than the fresh veggies at dinner time, he didn't really eat anything else from the Club Level. Most days, an uncrustable was his lunch or breakfast.

Chocolate milk @ breakfast is fine. We'll just buy two Nesquick bottles (one for each kid) in the Marketplace and refill it in the lounge so we can keep some in our room fridge for afternoon snack.

How do you feel about the Club Level/Lounge at BC in general? Is it nice sized now that they did a rehab? Can you take some pictures???

Thanks!

I don't remember all the beers from our stay a couple weeks ago, but I do know they had Yuengling, because I enjoyed it!

Here are a couple pics:

It is the first time we have stayed at CL anywhere, so we absolutely loved it. The lounge is not very big, but I think there was only one time we could not find a seat and took our snacks back to the room. The staff was wonderful!

Sue: Thanks for those pictures! Looks good to me! All they had as far as beer in the Grand Californian was Bud and Bud Light, so ANYTHING other than those will be HIGHLY appreciated by my DH. :rotfl:

I have a couple of questions. We might be staying at the BC in a 1 bedroom villa next month. We stayed at the YC many years ago so I'm sort of familiar with the hotel. Does anyone know if they still do the Pirate Cruise there? Also is there a place to buy breakfast/lunch stuff to eat in the room, or do I need to go to the store at the BWI for that? Do all the 1 bedrooms have a jacuzzi tub? I think DD would get a kick out of that. Lastly, do you think it will be too cold to swim at the end of January? We went one year in Jan and it was around 30 degrees!

Heah summer, the beach club has the marketplace. I had the blueberry muffin and the yogurt parfait the other day and they were both great. They have lunch stuff too. Look at the allearsnet menu. OT: This week end is bowling with santa I think. Ds is sleeping so I cant ask him. They are also having something new years eve I think. Can you believe me? cancer, coma, radiation, 7 surgeries and I got to go to disney with dh last week, God is good!!

Oh and here is straight from the activity sheet of the resort:

BC Marketplace has the same type of things at the BW store....all the basics if you like to prepare a few simple meals in the room.

All one BR villas have jacuzzi tubs. Enjoy!:cloud9:

As for weather, you just never know in January.

Have fun!:cool1:

That is fantastic! God is good indeed.:flower3:

Sorry I've been MIA. My daughter (Jeanne) and her boyfriend (Brian) are here ... two weeks of fun! Brian has never been to the east coast and has been like a little 5 year old at WDW and it has been fun seeing WDW from his view. He got so excited over the Jungle Cruise.

I'm still working Sundays and Mondays while they are here and I've gotten to meet so many Disers lately. I'm so lucky to have my job ... I meet so many fantastic people and have made some lasting friends. And a few of you have even talked me into running in that Princess Marathon ... the real short one ... with you in March.

So, Happy Holidays to all. Jeanne and Brian leave on 12/22 so things will get back to normal and I'll be able to spend more time answering all your questions.

Hi Teena!:wave2: How fun to introduce Brian to WDW.:goodvibes And during the holidays no less!:santa:

Wow - I'm impressed! Good for you.

DH is our marathon runner. This year he's going to run the new 1/2 Marathon - Food and Wine Festival one. The kids and I just go to watch and cheer. Of course we ALWAYS encourage him to run the Disney runs!
