:cool1::cool1::cool1: Heading to the YC TODAY :cool1::cool1::cool1::

I cannot believe the day is here - off to packing!

I'll post my trip report when we return.

Teena - can't wait to meet you!

We are staying at BCV in April . We havew booked a two bedroom with two queen beds in second bedroom, does anyone know if any of this rooms face the quiet pool or are they all on the other side facing the woods view? We would prefer pool view, but we were happy to be able to secure a room with 2 queen beds in the second bedroom. Has anyone had one of these rooms facing the quiet pool? Thanks!

Hi!

Thanks to everyone who has asked/answered questions on this thread. We just got back from our first stay at the Beach Club, and reading through this thread was so helpful in the planning process.

One question -- we loved everything about our stay, EXCEPT for the acoustics in the room. My goodness, those walls are thin. We were in the middle of the hallway and we could hear every single word that was spoken by passing guests -- LOUDLY. We also heard everything going on in the room next door. Now I like being friendly with fellow patrons in a hotel, but I certainly didn't need to hear the argument between a toddler and her mom about why the girl needed to wear underwear, and no, it couldn't be the same pair she wore yesterday!

I am wondering if this was something unique to our location, or if this is representative of all BC rooms? What about BCV? We didn't notice this at all when we stayed at the GF in May...in fact, even our stay in ASMo was much quieter than at the BC.

TIA! I am looking forward to booking next year's vacation :)

We didn't have this problem at all in October. Our room was on the 1st floor and was kind of tucked at the end of a hall though so maybe that was why it was quieter? I never saw or heard a single person in nearby rooms the entire 9 nights we were there. It seemed we had the hall to ourselves! It was really close to the childcare place and Marketplace too.

Maybe it was the location of your room. We've stayed at BC twice, and YC 4 times and never had a problem.

We returned yesterday from a week long paradise vacation at the Beach Club! I was soooo sad leaving, because of the homey feeling the of the Beach Club. I hate this disappointing feeling when returning home from Disney World, although im grateful for staying at such a wonderful resort. We will be planning our return in July which will definitely feel like an eternity. Anyway, I just wanted to vent to the BC and YC community for a bit, and thanks for lending your ears DIS fam.

Just returned from a fantastic stay at the BC! Right now I'm still in the middle of unpacking. I just wanted to say we had a great time and were so glad to meet Teena again.

Teena, thank you so much for all the help you provided to us in the planning of our family reunion. Hope to see you again real soon!

From your friends: :) lucas, dh and our family from New Orleans :)

i've been dying to stay at the BC for so long that hubby is making it my christmas gift.. with CL at that! very excited, we are checking in sunday! i'm having a hard time finding the movie schedule for the beach movies... kind of wanted to get DD excited and tell her what's going to be playing.. anyone know where i can find it? thank you!

Do the BC CL rooms have a DVD player in them?

Do they all (whether waterview or standard) have daybeds?

Are they all on the fifth floor?

They all have DVD players and all are on the 5th floor (except the deluxe CL rooms). I don't think that they all have daybeds, though. I'm pretty sure that ours did not. It was a waterview room on the 5th floor.

No picture though, as I didn't have my camera with me...

We got the 2 requests we made, a daybed and a full balcony...the view from the balcony...well...we are on the 5th floor over the front entrance, so not much, BUT we have a great view of the Epcot globe!

Just got back from my first stay at the yacht club and I must agree with another poster in this thread. We stayed in room 3032 and the noise was unreal. The room was a corner with the electrical room across the hall. Everytime someone turned on their shower, flushed a toilet or sneezed; we could here it. I've stayed at all of the other deluxe resorts and never experienced this before.

So sorry to hear this. Did you ask to be moved? I've stayed there before and never had that problem, but I would not be happy with a room like that. :sad2:

I was only there for a short trip (3 days/2 nights), so I didn't bother + my girlfriend doesn't like to complain; only to me :rotfl: - I did send a short e-mail to Disney notifying them of the noise incase they weren't aware.

I was in a hallway that dead-ended but I could hear some noise outside our room but it really wasn't that bad. I don't recall hearing noises from either side of my room though.

I'm sorry you had that experience - maybe a corner room is key (or at the end of the hallway)!

There are so many pages, so I apologize if this has been answered before, if we are a party of 5, is it guaranteed that we would get the room with the daybed if we just book standard? Just comparing costs/theming/prices of places that are available with a party of 5 and we like the look of BC.

Follow up on prior question (and sorry if it was answered).

You may recall discussion some weeks ago about whether a BC room all the way down could be closer to Epcot than to the bus stop. We checked it out on our recent YC trip...and the distances were virtaully identical, but Epcot was slightly closer. We double checked with pedometers. :thumbsup2 We've had a BC room all the way down that last hall few times, and it is darned close to Epcot (and far from bus stop if you snake through the hallways!) And we love walking at Disney so this is not a complaint, just interesting.

We always find something new and fun at YC/BC, no matter how many times we stay there. Thanks to whomever brought this up -- we had fun checking it out.
