Hi everyone

My family and I just love the YC, my kids still say, I love how it smells!! We got the PIN and decided to treat ourselves to YC CL this July. We are staying 7 nights and only doing 1 park. We plan to enjoy the hotel all week. Really looking forward to just sitting on the balcony and relaxing. I havent made any request for my room. Any suggestions on what I should request if I just want a decent view? I was under the impression that CL rooms were either a garden view or water view. I think I would be a little upset with a parking lot view in a CL room. I never make any room requests but we will be at the hotel the whole trip and would like a nice view. Thanks so much

My family of 4 (DH, DS and his girlfriend) will be traveling to the BC Villa (2 bedroom) January 22 for 7 nights. I booked this through RCI using points. This is my first time staying at a timeshare at Disney (we usually book a room)

Can someone please tell me what website I use to do the early checkin?
If the villa type that I want (view, floor...) isn't ready when I get there can I leave my luggage until my villa is ready? Will my luggage be delivered to my villa when the room is ready or does the desk wait until we come back for our room key?

Because I used points, do I get maid service everyday? or do I pay for maid service when I want it? Do they restock laundry soap, coffee, ....? Do they change the towels and sheets or will I have to wash them?

Can I walk to the Garden Grocer to get supplies or is this a phone call or website facility only?

Sorry for all the questions-but like I stated above, we usually reserve a room. I'm sure I'll have more questions as I get closer, but this is it for now.

We had a very nice YC CL gv room. It overlooked the courtyard and was very close to the concierge lounge.

Arriving in a few days, we are so excited! Time flew by so fast, and now we are going to be in DISNEY very soon! Beach Club here we come.

Teena, what is your work schedule this weekend? I have not posted much, but reading through the thread, your posts have been SO helpful, I would love to meet you!

I don't think you can check in online for your reservation. For DVC villa reservation on points, we do it on the member website and you would not have access to that. For both this question and the one about daily housekeeping, perhaps you could ask on the DVC forums. Someone who is familiar with RCI might be able to help. A poster named Dean knows about RCI.

The bellstand will take and store your luggage for you. You will need to call for it once you are in the villa. When you checkin, you will be given the keys even if your villa is not ready. Either you will be called or you can call later in the day about the status of the villa.

Assuming your reservation is treated like others on points which I imagine it is, your villa will only be restocked on the 4th and 7th day.

Garden grocer is a service.....you can't walk to it. However, if you need only a few things, the BC Marketplace carries the basics.

I watched a show last night on HGTV about how they decorate Disney for Christmas, it made me more excited about going in Jan 2010. We (DH and myself) usually go to Disney the first or second week of December- I really enjoy Disney with all the Christmas decorations, especially the Osborne lights-
I have never been in January, so it might be a let down not having all the decorations- I think I might have to book another vacation for Dec 2010 too!!!!!!!!!!!

I would repost the mousekeeping service question in the DVC forums (DVC Operations I think). Dean is frequently over there, and there may be others.

If it is treated as the equivalent of a DVC points stay, then all you will get is a "trash and towel" service on the 4th day, since your stay is 7 nights or less. If you were staying longer, you'd get a Full service on day 4, and trash and towel on day 8. Every 4 additional days you'll get either a full or trash and towel, alternating.

If it is treated as a cash reservation, then you get full service every day.

You can also purchase additional full or trash&towel services...I don't recall the prices.

Sunday and Monday in the BC lobby ... I start at 8:30 AM and work until 4:45 PM. I take two short breaks, one at 11:45 and one around 3:00 (each about 15-20 minutes).

Just wanted to share that I AM SO EXCITED for our upcoming trip to the YC. This is such a needed vacation for both my DD and I and we just cannot wait to get there in 11 days!!!!

Paid off the balance on room last night...now just need to buy the park tickets and MVMCP tickets.
