There are pictures out there of the yacht refurb - if you scroll thru this thread I believe someone did a repost of the pics - or rather a link to get you to the refurb pics...

I was curious about the view from the rooms. We have booked the Lagoon View CL room at the Yacht Club. Do all the rooms on the 5th floor have a good view of the lake?

Thanks guys!

Anybody??? Sorry, I am so excited and am trying to soak up all the info I can. I want November to get here fast! :cool1::cool1:

Yes, the YC CL rooms all do have a view of the lake, however, there are a group of rooms that the view of the lake would be a little farther away as SAB is directly in the foreground and then the lake is just behind that. Not to worry the fifth floor does overlook the trees and you will have a great view not matter the room assigned with a YC CL waterview room. Have a great time!

The waterview CL rooms at the YC all have nice views ... I'd love to be in one!!

Hey Teena, think we were both posting at the same time!!! Hope you are doing well and relaxing before your next trip to see Jeanne. :goodvibes

We are thinking of booking a stay at the BC in July.
Will we be able to get a reservation if we wait until Jan. to book?( we will need two rooms)
My DH isn't ready to commit to the BC( really any Disney trip at this point)
thanks!

I'm so excited to be going to the BC for the first time in 45 days:cool1:
I just have a quick question about SAB, what are the hours in September? We like to go back to the resort and swim at night!

Do all the BC rooms have queen size beds?

I'm okay. Caught a cold on the plane ride home from the cruise. I immediately worked two days and I'm almost caught up on the laundry. They asked me to work extra this week and next before I head out to help Jeanne. Since I'm sick, I told them to add on both Saturdays but that was it. Maybe I should give Airborne a try. Do you use it? Think it works?

Jeanne called last night. Looks like they are overloading her class next year (she gets her new class on August 24th). Her room only legally is suppose to hold 15 and she says we are going to have to figure out a way to get about 25 desks in there. Her present class doesn't leave until next Monday. She has meetings the rest of next week. That gives us a week to get things sanitized, set up and ready for the next class. I can't fly out until Tuesday (18th) since I'm working Saturday, Sunday and Monday but I got a flight that gets me in mid-morning on Tuesday. She'll probably work a few hours at the school, come get me at the airport and then we'll most likely go right back to the school. Sometime while I'm there we do all the supply shopping (cause I get to pay for it all ... you know what kind of money teachers make). Once she gets her masters degree done, at least she'll start making more money!! She just started her thesis. We're so proud of her ... so far she has not gotten anything lower than an A-. Don't know how she does it at night while working full time.

You just never know. With the economy though, I would think you would be good ... just keep an eye out for the specials like 7/4 and free dining!

The hours at SAB all depends on the occupancy. The hours can change week to week. The quiet pools are open 24 hours a day.

At the BC there are a few rooms with double beds in them. There are also a few rooms with king beds. However, the majority of the rooms have two queens in them. If you are a family of five, you'll probably get a room with two queens and a daybed.

Just found out I may have to modify our November trip :(. Older DD is doing marching band and they have been invited to do something at WDW over Thanksgiving involving ESPN and I'm guessing college basketball. If they go it'll be Coronado Springs for them. We're booked BC CL for Nov 22-25, I checked availability for later that week and it's limited and the price also shoots up conciderably. CS is still showing availability with the discount, but DH hates the moderates. Not to mention the crowd levels over the actual holiday!

I feel you pain. We cancelled our end of June trip due to DS17 plans, for a pre college type seminar. Then I started a new job, so, no Y&BC for us since last August.

Hopefully you come up with another plan!!!! Good Luck

I have used Airborne in the past, upsets my stomach. Maybe try another one of the the Zinc cold remedies on the market. Hope you are feeling better.

You must be so proud of Jeanne!! Good luck helping her set up her class, sounds like she will have her hands full.

Just fyi for leanne32 we are a family of 5 who went in July and they tried to give us two doubles with a rollaway. I asked to be moved to a room with queen beds and I was, but it appears they don't always give the families of 5 the queens with a daybed. I didn't request a daybed because I assumed we would be given one with 5 people, I'm just glad the resort had another room available for us, as a main reason we moved from POR was to have the queen beds adn a daybed. I would put it on a request if you really want that. The resort is great thought, we loved it!

Thanks for the advice about requesting a daybed, I'm going to call now :thumbsup2

Thanks to you both! I am glad there are no trees to worry about. I am so excited! Can't wait for our first stay at the Yacht Club!!!!
