Hi all.

After reading through most of this thread, we finally booked our vacation to WDW and YC last night! Now comes the real planning...

Would someone be kind enough to confirm the package delivery options available to a guest? From what I've read, if the package is delivered via:

- U.S. Postal Service, then the front reception can take it and hold for the guest at no charge.
- Grocery delivery service (like Garden Grocer), delivery can be left at the bell hop until picked up by the guest.
- any other service (like UPS, FedEx), the package goes to the business center where there will be a charge according to package size and weight.

Thanks so much in advance!!

I booked a studio at BCV, but my online confirmation has a room type of "Club Level". Does anyone know what that means?
Also, can anyone confirm that Southwest is now participating in RAC for bag checkin at BC?
Thanks!

1.) Room type does seem strange. BCV should be studio/1BR/2BR etc and Club Level shouldn't be BCV.

2.) Over on transportation board they are reporting RAC up and running at BC/YC.

Maybe some of the recent vistors can help more.

We were at BC last week, and there were lots of swimmers during the day - it was chilly (especially climbing the stairs to the slide!), but I agree the water was comfortable. SAB was open until 10pm, which was really nice for our boys because they like to swim at the end of the day.

Also, BC was wonderful!!! For anyone reading this thread because they are considering BC, I cannot recommend it enough! We have been staying at WL lately, so the only thing I missed was the WL lobby. Other than that, we are entirely sold on BC and are definitely booking for next year. The rooms are wonderful - we had a standard room with a daybed and full balcony and could see Illuminations and the Eiffel tower from our room. The new decor is bright and sunny, and the room was super clean. In our opinion, the location cannot be beat. We were considering CR next year for the monorail, but we decided that walking to EPCOT and DHS from BC cannot be beat (and DHS surpassed MK as our favorite park this time.) I stayed at BC several years ago, and forgot how wonderful the IG entrance is!! And, of course, the pool . . .

What room did you guys have? We're staying at the BC in September (standard view) and would love to get a room with that view!

It was 3512! Two warnings: 1) It's not a clear view of the Eiffel Tower by any means - lots of trees - but we could see it! The view of the Illuminations fireworks was great, and I could hear the music very clearly. 2) It's very, very far from the lobby. The good news is that, if you go down the stairwell, you're right on the path to EPCOT and just steps away from IG. If you have a stroller, there is another elevator about 1/2 way to the lobby elevator that would take you down to the quiet pool. If you are going to the lobby, the busses or the Marketplace for refills, etc., it's a long walk. I did not mind it at all, and I would request that room again in a minute - but my kids and my husband want to give up my view of the fireworks for something closer to the lobby next time!

Awesome thank you!! :goodvibes

I asked a CM on the phone about that last week and he said that it didn't mean anything, BUT, I know if I call tomorrow I could get a different answer, so you might want to try to call and ask, too.

Awesome thread. Just spent the last two days reading every post! Teena's story in post #222 was fabulous! I love reading those kind of stories!

We are going to be staying at the BC for the first time later this year and this thread is really helpful! Thank you all so very much!

I found this thread about the 'deluxe studio' on the DVC section:

That sounds really nice! I have a standard view booked for my trip in May and I want to request something...but I don't know if view or closeness to the lobby is more important! I feel like if I ask for a room near the lobby I'll just be setting myself up for one of those awful rooftop views! :rotfl: Although my first request is going to be for a full balcony, so I might just ask for that and leave the rest up to fate! :confused3

Maybe I'll get an upgrade since it's our honeymoon! :rotfl: :wizard:

Hi just wondering if anyone has photos of deluxe beach club room-I have booked a lagoon view deluxe for our holidays this summer and am getting excited but would love to see a photo to show the rest of the family too!

Are there any chairs outside on the smaller balconies at Beach Club?

On the standing balconies, there is room only for one person to stand ... even one chair would not fit. On the full balconies, there are two chairs and a table.

That's big. I really enjoy sitting down at night and watching things go by. Big reason to stay at YC.

Yes, that's a good reason to pick the YC because you are guaranteed a full size balcony if you are not on the first floor. However, I still call the YC the "dark side". I love the lightness and atmosphere so much better on the BC but many people like the YC atmosphere better.

I like the light airiness of the BC's lobby more, but like the decor of the YC's lobby more. I definitely prefer the decor of the YC's rooms.

You may change your mind about the decor of the BC lobby soon. We're getting a new lobby very soon!

Interesting.

I don't dislike it by any means. It just seems, I don't know - Kind of empty.

Like I said - If all BC rooms had full balconies, we'd stay there. I like the Beach atmosphere, palm trees, etc. Our feelings were basically we can spend as much time as we like at either resort, but can only have 1 room.

I feel the same way. We've got two rooms (hopefully adjoining) and want the full balconies. I don't want to end up with the little BC balconies and have to try to get two adjoining rooms moved somewhere with full ones. Plus I like the room decor in the YC a little better than the BC, and the BC lobby just seemed so much busier with the Cape May crowd hanging out there.

Hi Teena
Are you at liberty to discuss when construction will start on the BC lobby?
Thanks

Wouldn't call it construction. It's new rugs, furniture, stuff like that. Back in the Fall, I was told it would start in March. This month one person told me May and one told me June. It will not impact guests at all since it will be removal of furniture and replacement of new. I will probably just come to work one day and go "Wow ... I have a new hangout". I'm excited about it.

Hi Teena. Thanks for the insight as to the "new lobby" We are excited and patiently counting down the weeks until we will be at BCV for the first time in May...looking forward to stopping by to meet you :)
