So, Tyson Gay just ran a 9.68 100m run. That's the fastest time ever recorded by anybody- a technical world record, if you will. Only, the wind was too strong and "helped" him too much, so it isn't counted as a WR. Meh.

Swimming is on now, Michael Phelps looks to qualify in 5 individual events and 3 relays. If he does and then claims a gold medal in 4 or more of those events (out of a possible 8), he will have more gold medals than any other individual athlete ever in olympic history.

I'm so excited with my favorite athlete in the world Shawn Johnson qualifying I'm ready for the games to begin now I just have to wait to finds out who else made it. We were going to go fly straight to Oregon from London because most of my family lives in Eugene where the Tracks trials are being held but my brother has to work over the 4th. It would have been so special for my mom because she used to run on the field there running on for the track trials. But yeah I missed watching the trials today because I ended up spending my day in the ER.

i know! it is sooooooo stupid. the olympics is held in many different places. there is not really anything wrong with watching it if it is in china.

but, i truly cant wait. im having a horrible, boring summer and i need something to spruse it up. and of course, the olymipcs wil do that!

Heres hooping Mattie takes over Sam P's place also I hope Ivana made it but many are saying if there going to take one of them they'll choose Mattie only since she is consitent.

I know me too I live for the Olympics and I've been excited it all year since the US has such a great crop of athletes coming in this year and I say anything to my friend like your watching the Olympics this Summer and there all like why would I ever want to do that. I'm like because they only come around every 4 year and its a really special time and every country can forget about there differences for a few days and we can all come together to have an amazing time and remember what we have in common.

My favorite gymnast is Mattie she is so graceful, and I love her, she's so adorable. I also like Nastia too, she's really great on floor.

Trivia: Recently, NBC asked the IOC if they could run some of the major events live during primetime in the US. That makes it where the events take place in China around 7am.

I know. Mattie has very high potential, I think she would do great. She's a hard worker, and very enthusiastic. She has a great love for the sport, and it shows.

Summer. Without a doubt. I live for Track and Field and that doesn't happen in the winter! Neither does Volleyball! Or swimming. and plus, in the winter, all the pretty peoples are covered up from the cold (except for figure skating...).

but I do have to say, that I love curling. It's seriously the best sport to watch at 3 in the morning when I'm on a caffeine high.

And I have no idea how you can watch curling, even on a caffeine high. It bores me to tears. People love it here, one of the members of Team Canada's gold winning curling team lives here, but meh.
