800m is so scary. My friend did it last year and he is really fast but he got killed in it. For me I played it safe with the 1600m.

The 800m is so tough because it's such a fast race. Middle distance is not my thing. Running anything over 200m is so not my thing. I like hurling heavy objects long distances best. Although, Jav and Disc aren't that heavy.

Anyway, the women's 5000m second semifinal is just finishing up right now. 5000m is just over 3 miles and they're going to finish at about 15:30.

I would never do anything more than 1600m. I always push myself to the limit and I wouldn't be able to last that long. And I wish I was a thrower. It looks like fun.

I love throwing. So much. It's basically my life. I've been throwing since I was in 7th grade and I just finished my junior year in HS, so 5 years. I'm best at Discus- I placed 4th at the League meet and 10th at the Class meet this year. Class is the step below states (top 4 move on) and League is the step below that. I throw javelin off and on...more off than on because it's so bad for my shoulder and the last thing I need to do is screw that up. And I throw shot as well. Not nearly as good in either of those as I am in disc, though. I do throw hammer once a year at summer camp, though. That's totally fun.

Two more World Records were set last night at the Swimming trials.

And Katie Hoff set a new WR in the womens 400m IM along with Michael Phelps in the same event! Is it coincidence that these two used to train together?!

My two favorite athletes are from the state of Maryland , both are swimmers Michael Phelps and Katie Hoff. I will root for them a lot in this Summers Olympic games.

Yeah I know... When I logged onto Intlgymnast yesterday and saw this I was like no now the US medal chances are over... I was hoping he would get us a Bronze in the TF and a Gold in the AA but it doesnt look too hot right now. But at least Morgan was approved to compete by the FIG today even though he was doping...
