Yes, I think she was the most sick of all of them--which explains why she wasn't in the audience for the guy round. She stood way off to the side at the end too. I thought that was considerate of her.

Amanda – that was just weird. What song was that?!

It's a very, very old blues song. A bunch of rock bands have covered it, such as AC/DC and my favorite cover of this song...Aerosmith.

Short on lyrics but big on sound, this song.

Something else I noticed last night...Mr. Seacrest needs to learn to keep his hands off the female contestants. He put his arm around or his hand on every single one. It was getting downright creepy at the end.

We've had so many comments about Luke Menard look-alikes; he must just have one of those faces. Well, here's my choice. I have to post a photo because most of you (unless you're baseball fans) wouldn't know what Yankees' pitcher Mike Mussina looks like. Well, I think he looks just like Luke Menard!

Sorry the Mussina one is so big. It's hard to find a photo of Mike without a baseball cap but I think Luke's a dead ringer for him!

I like David A., Amanda and Syesha BTW. The only thing I know for sure is that Amy Davis is going home. I've never been more certain about an elimination!

OK, school's been keeping me really busy so I have to post both my girl and guy reviews today! First I just have to say that I find it absolutely hysterical that both Michael and Carly closed out their respective nights... what are the odds?!

The Guys:

David Hernandez - Eh. It was good but not very memorable. He has a nice voice but not much else... he'll be lucky to make it through.

Chikezie Eze - What was that?! Horrible, horrible, horrible. I didn't like him from the beginning so I have no idea why he's there, and his attitude only made it worse. Everyone knows that America turns against you if you turn against the judges... you have to be gracious and people will respect, like and vote for you regardless of how you sing!

David Cook - I liked it! I liked his previous performances a lot better but I do like him... although he could have picked a better song.

Jason Yeager - That was one of the cheesiest things I've EVER seen! Not good... just not good.

Robbie Carrico - Eh, I didn't like it... at least not nearly as much as the judges. His voice is too high for rock and kind of whiny... and I agree with Simon, he doesn't seem authentic. He seems like a pop singer who's realized that rock is the thing to do right now so he jumped on the bandwagon

David Archuleta - He's good! Again, not as good as everyone has been raving, but he's definitely good and will only get better and better. I think he's the dark horse to win this season - he has a great voice and everyone thinks he's cute... he'll have the teen girls AND their moms voting! He's going far.

Danny Noriega - OK... I like him I do! He was good in his past performances and he's fun to watch. That attitude of his CRACKS ME UP!

Luke Menard - WHAT IN THE WORLD WAS THAT?! HORRIBLE, that's what that was! How could he have possibly made it so far? I heard his group's performances and I don't even like his voice there... he's CUTE though! But he'll be gone soon.

Colton Berry - I actually really like him! He's always done well in past performances and he has a great voice. This wasn't a good song choice for him but I hope he makes it far.

Garrett Haley - Leif Garrett looks + voice of Aaron Carter = Not good, not good at all. Simon's comments were really mean but damn... that was bad. He's so WHINY!

Jason Castro - My absolute favorite of the night! I loved how he played the guitar, I loved the tone of his voice, I loved his stage presence... I loved it all. I'm surprised they haven't shown more of him. And there's something interesting about his look... I don't get the dreads but they make him stand out and his eyes are GORGEOUS! I don't know how much of a chance he has for winning but he's really, really good and I'd love to see him make it all the way

Michael Johns - He's lucky that he's so damn sexy This week just wasn't very good. He's done really well in past performances but this time he was trying too hard to be the "real rocker" and it just looked overdone and cheesy... he screamed the whole song, and not in a good way. Of course he'll stick around (and I hope he does because he IS my second favorite... mainly because he's so ridiculously gorgeous ) but I don't think he'll go as far as the AI producers think. If viewers votes REALLY count, I think all the exposure and pimping could backfire and someone like Danny Archuleta will come and steal the title away from him.

And now the girls... I also thought that the blonds all looked exactly alike

Kristy Lee Cook - She was OK. She has a good voice but she's just so plain.

Joanne Borgella - Horrible! That was just bad and I'm sad to say so because I was rooting for her since she's from around here. But... no.

Alaina Whitaker - I like her! Again, nothing special but she has a good voice and she was entertaining. She's my favorite of the blondes.

Amanda Overmyre - I like her. I don't love her but I like her... I love how she's a genuine rocker but ever song sounds exactly the same. She needs to change it up if she wants to last.

Amy Davis - Another "What in the world was THAT?!" moment. HORRIBLE! The absolute worst of both nights... I remember her being really bad during Hollywood, too, so I have no idea why she's there. I have no problem with VFTW supporting Danny but them supporting her I do have a problem with... I really hope she's gone tonight. UGH.

Brooke White - Eh. I've liked her in the past but her voice is weak without her piano. I don't really have much of an opinion right now...

Alexandrea Lushington - Eh. I didn't think she was anywhere near as good as everyone's saying. She was just kind of bland... and thought she was better than she was.

Kady Malloy - I actually liked her too. She has a pretty voice.

Asia'h Epperson - I like her! She has a weird tone to her voice... it's more airy than raspy. It's different though so for now I like her.

Ramiele Malubay - LOVED IT! That girl can SING! I really loved her voice and she was my favorite of the night!

Syesha Mercado - I like her! I like her more as a person than as a singer, though... I like her style. Her voice is good but nothing special. I still like her though!

Carly Smithson - I just don't get it. I liked her first few performances but the way Randy and Paula were praising her last night was just... She wasn't good. At all. And I think a lot of people realize that and are sick of all the buzz and drama surrounding her and just won't vote for her when it comes to the Top 12. There's something about her that I just don't like anymore... hmmm.

Top 6 Guys - Jason, Michael, Danny A., David Cook, Colton, Danny N.

Top 6 Girls - Ramiele, Alaina, Amanda, Cady, Syesha, Asia'h

I can't wait for tonight!

I thought the same thing. I originally thought she was in her mid-to-late thirties until I realized that she couldn't be. She looks and acts WAY older... and she IS a one trick pony. I'd like to see her perform one more time to see if she can do anything else because there's no way I'd be able to sit through an hour of that
