I tried to watch last night, I really did. But it was SO boring!
I tried to catch a few seconds of each performance to get the general idea (since I've never heard some sing), and with most that was all I could take. I watched America's Next Top Model instead, and caught most of that. AI was so bad, I even watched more of the Pussycat Doll show in the second hour. That's how you know that I was desperate.

But, I did like Carly's performance, and I hate that. She did a good job, but I just can't make myself back her. And I didn't think of it until I read it here, but the judges did make a huge deal about her being sick. Ryan commented about all the others being nasty sick, but the judges all ignored it, and still ripped into most of them. Except Carly, the golden child.

I just read somewhere that David Archuleta beat Alexandrea on Star Search 5 years ago...has anyone heard this? Funny that they would both end up together on a singing competition show again.

Week Two – The Girls – Wrap-Up

Here we go RyMickey......

I'm not feeling good about this season at this point. Again, all I wanted to do was fast forward. Maybe once I get to know the contestants and we weed out a few of the generic blondes I'll start to care more.

Kristy Lee Cook – Rescue Me – I actually didn't think she sucked half as much as they said. I could see that she was sick but she's not Carly so they tried to keep that under wraps.

Joanne Borgella – I Say a Little Prayer – This girl was nothing special. No one will remember her today.

Alaina Whitaker – More Today Than Yesterday – While she did blow Chikcheesy out of the water, that's not really saying much.

Amanda Overmyer – Baby Please Don’t Go – I'm really thinking one trick pony here. And I don't know that I'm going to continue to be impressed by her single trick. I really see her novelty wearing off. She actually frightens me and I didn't enjoy her screaming all that much.

Amy Davis – Where the Boys Are – She looked beautiful......

Brooke White – Happy Together – I don't like this girl for some reason. She seems too goody two shoes. Her singing isn't any better or worse than anyone elses, I guess.

Alexandrea Lushington – Spinning Wheel – I was prepared not to like this girl. I thought she would come off very militant, but I did enjoy her performance. I actually didn't want to FF her.

Kady Malloy – Groovy Kind of Love – I guess, I was going back to high school days cause this one really made me smile. I enjoyed it.

Asia’h Epperson – Piece of My Heart – I'm still on the fence with this girl. I think she has a good voice, but I'm not sure that I'll like her style once they let them show us what their style is.

Ramielle Malubay – You Don’t Have to Say You Love Me – This girl can sing. But I don't care for her stage presence. She also did not look beautiful. Fire her stylist.

Syesha Mercado – Tobacco Road – I have to say that this girl is my favorite this year. She has something about her that draws me in and makes me pay attention.

Carly Smithson – Shadow of Your Smile – Go home pimp girl. It turned my stomach how Randy and Paula were saying how sick she was when they didn't give two turds about poor sick Kristy. They have made me dislike this girl.

My Thoughts

I didn't really review their singing much since nothing wat too terribly exciting tonight. Right now, I seem to forming a personal opinion about them.

Who else thinks that Danny and Ramielle are the same person??????

Okay, I have finally come up with a preliminary photo comparison of the guys. I say preliminary since once I learn more about them, their "twin" may change.

Colton Berry - Someone mentioned japanese anime, but he is a self-proclaimed Ellen look-a-like so I googled Ellen anime and her caricature came up - perfect!
Danny Noriega - I originally had that Disney chick from "Wendy Wu" but then after Ramielle's performance, I determined that somethig was awry on the AI set and we really had twins as well as quints this year.
Garrett Haley - While searching 80's hair bands, I found Beast from the TV series - wow!
Jason Castro- It's the hair, I tell ya!
Jason Yeager - Does that little splotch of yellow in the front of his head annoy anyone else?
Luke Menard - There are many different thoughts on this guy. As a LOST fan, this is mine.
Michael Johns - It was something in the eyes.
Robbie Carrico - Bo Bice is back!
Chikezie Eze - Is Chikezie on a work release program?
David Archuleta - How about a young Ricky Martin - Menudo days.
David Hernandez - I see Matt Lauer
David Cook - The hardest of all. At first I was seeing Archie Bunker's son-in-law and then he morphed into Elton John.

I thought the same thing. I originally thought she was in her mid-to-late thirties until I realized that she couldn't be. She looks and acts WAY older... and she IS a one trick pony. I'd like to see her perform one more time to see if she can do anything else because there's no way I'd be able to sit through an hour of that

Did anyone notice when they showed Amanda's mother in the audience? She looks YOUNGER than Amanda, and is far more attractive. What is up with that?

Garrett keeps reminding me of Mimi Siku from Jungle 2 Jungle with Tim Allen! I just can't get that picture out of my head for some reason.

The girls really didn't impress me. I don't get all the hype over Carly either, and it was annoying me the way she was doing her mic. It makes her voice sound like it cuts out really bad...I don't like when singers jerk their head away from the mics, learn to control your voice without having to scream the notes.

My favorite girl is probably Ramiele...She's so cute, but her hair looked horrible.
Other than her, I really don't care who goes home tonight as far as the girls. Just as long as Jason Castro doesn't get cut!!!!
