Thanks for the quick reply. Going in April with a 2 yr old. This is great news!
I can't wait to go either; we will be there in May with my 1.5DS and 5yr DS. I think they will enjoy the themed pool area.

Hi can anyone tell me if the pool bar adds a 15% tip automatically to the bill just last year we stayed at RPR and HRH and ended up paying over 30% tip as they had already added the 15% but I didn't know that till I got the final bill and I had been tipping about 20%

FQ definitely hasa kiddie pool, it's just a plain circle about 6 inches deep (maybe more, I can't honestly remember) My dd was just 14 months and she really enjoyed it

We are staying at POFQ next January. If we would stay in building 7, how far would the walk be to the nearest quiet pool at POR? Like to take a morning swim, but the main pool will probably be to busy, even in the morning. I got spoiled by the quiet pool at CBR. :earsboy:

Ok, I've searched the thread, but can't find an answer.............Will I be able to purchase milk, fruit, snacks, etc. in the shop or food court; and do I need to request a fridge, or are they in all the rooms now?
Sam

i think they may be in all rooms by now but if not u can request one no charge

We stayed at POFQ last April. You will be able to purchase milk, juice and other items like English muffins or donuts in the gift shop. Have fun!

BevS97, GREAT pictures! Thanks for sharing. We are going in May, and I can't wait. It's been 20 years since I've been to WDW. :earsboy:

For those of you that have been to POFQ lately.

1. Are fridges in all rooms, Or do we request one at check-in?

2. Will a gallon size milk fit in the fridges?

3. To purchase milk, juice, or muffin in gift shop, is it expensive?
( am I better off just stopping by a grocery store?)

Thanks everyone !!

They are supposed to be in all rooms, but I've seen posts where they weren't. In that case all you have to do is call guest services and they'll bring one to you.

2. Will a gallon size milk fit in the fridges?

The fridges are small, I don't think a gallon will fit, or if it did you wouldn't have much room for anything else.

Oh yeah! I would make a grocery stop along the way if you can. Snacks in the gift shop are twice what you'd pay at a Walmart or Target.[/FONT

:wave2: Hey everyone!
Joining this thread since we are now FINISHED hopping around resorts and have our pick- POFQ!

We will be there April 18-23rd :hourglass
I was able to get a standard room, but made a few requests:
Building 5, corner room, non-smoking

It is only DH and myself- we don't have kids yet ;) (maybe after this trip :rotfl2: ). I want to be close to the main building, and also not have a view of the parking lot (anything else will do).

Did I choose right, or should I request another area?
Is it really loud near the pool, or am I fine with that request?

Thanks for you help!

I think you have made a good choice Building 5 doesn't have any parking lot views, neither does building 2, most of 3, and 6

building 5 has one end that is very close to the main building and the other end is further away - depending on which end you get, you could be between 10 seconds and 5 minutes walk, neither will be very far.
We were in Building 2 on the opposite side to the pool and heard no noise at all, unless you are right by the pool I don't think it will be an issue

Well heck, I would most definitely pass up the idea of being closer to the food area/ main building...for a view of the river! How romantic ;)

There was one in our room already. I don't know if a gallon would fit, but I know a half-gallon does. We bought many of those last month! A half-gallon costs $3+ in the gift shop. :)

We stayed in #5 2 years ago. We were on the 3rd floor facing the courtyard. It was a great location, and oh so quiet!!!! We requested the same spot for last month, but it was full. We ended up in #6, 3rd floor, facing the same courtyard (we could look straight across and see our previous room). This turned out to be a great location as well! Actually, it was a little better because we were right by the elevator... Have a nice trip, POFQ is WONDERFUL!!! We're going back in May. :lovestruc

We are staying at POFQ end of May. I've heard great things about the resort. A few questions.

1. I know my son will love the pool at POR too. How far of a walk is it to their pool? Is there a certain building at POFQ that is closer?

2. I am thinking I will request bldg 5 (unless you all tell me there is one closer to the pools at POR). Does this building have river views and can you request one without paying?

3. I have young kids--7.5, 5, 2.5. Does the resort cater to kids/families or more to couples/singles?

4. Is it easiest just to walk to Boatwrights??

5. Is there a charge for having a crib/packnplay?

Thanks!!!
