I'm just wondering how far building 7 really is?? Has anyone have any idea as to which buildings are smoking and non smoking?? :earseek:

I stayed in Buiding 7 last time I was there and I didn't think it was far at all. It wasn't right across the way from the food court/lobby like some of the other buildings are, but the walk took about 3 minutes, and it was a very pleasant 3 minutes.

Thanks Eyore4ever149. I think I'll request non-smoking 1st floor and see what I end up with. I know some don't like 1st floor, but I like the idea of just pushing our stroller out the door and go on our way, without having to wait for an elevator. Oh my, I am so impatient. :D

I want to add that we had a first floor room at Dixie Landings while on our honeymoon, and never remember it being an issue with people looking in our window. And there was a cute little rabbit outside our room very often.

does anyone know what time the last boat leaves DTD to go back to the resort?

I believe the last boat (at least last May) left around 11:00 or 11:30. After that it was busses only.

Did anyone ever stay in a building they didn't like?

I've stayed in building 1 and loved the location. It seems as if others liked their locations as well.

So, I was just wondering if anyone really didn't like their building location. :jester:

I noticed on the 2005 Rate page on the main Dis site that POFQ has a preferred room section. The price is about $30 more than a standard room. Does any one know what rooms would be in this section. I can't believe that such a small resort would have a preferred section, especially for $30 more a night.

I think that those are the "water view" rates. They are either a view of the river or the pool area. Personally, I wouldn't pay the extra $$. The regular rooms are just as beautiful!

What are the pros and cons of staying on the first floor? The reason I ask is I heard there are bug problems and some other "visitors". Can you enlighten me if you have stayed on the first floor before. Thanks in advance.

Oh my! I hopen not! I want a 1st floor room, but not if I'll have additional guests in my room. Yuk!

I would flip out if I found some critters in my room. I'm going to make the H2B do a thorough inspection now when we check in if we're on the first floor.

IloveDMB, do you know, or can you tell me if any of the King Size bedrooms have river view, and what buildings they might be in? :confused3

Kings are corner rooms and yes, there are views of the river. many of the buildings will meet that criteria, just list it as a request- water view when you book your King room. Ask for a room above ground level for a great view.

are all corner rooms king rooms? thanks!

is there a bldg that one would suggest (standard room) that would be easier for us (as in walking distance to buses/food court and easy to load/unload all the stuff a baby requires? :teeth: ... we will be travelling with a 1 yr old) Thanks!

lynetteSC - I have been told that building 5 is great. By the pool, close to bus stop - centrally located. I requested it for our stay :cheer2:

Does anyone know what buildings are smoking?? I would like a non-smoking room and I wonder is building 5 non?? :flower:

Building 2 is smoking and 3rd floor of building 6. Not sure if this info is still correct but it looks like all others are non-smoking. :wave2:
