They have those toiletries, but NOT in dispensers in the shower, if that's what you mean. Little bottles, but no dispenser.

And the shampoo is combined with conditioner so you get one bottle of shampoo/conditioner, one larger bar of soap for the shower, and one smaller bar of soap for the sinks.

They will give extra if you need it you just have to call the mousekeeping number and let them know.We bring our own so we had 15 bars of soap and 10 sham/cond too.I called to tell them we didn't need it to which they replied they make great souvenirs.:rotfl:

Good point. I hope this hasn't been asked and answered a million times, but since Epcot is right next door, is there anywhere at POFQ, POR or in between that you can see Epcot's fireworks? Or even DTD, for that matter. Just wondering.

I know you can hear the music from the bus stop at POFQ, but the trees block some of the fireworks.

Does anyone know if the POFQ food court or gift shop sells sparkling juice or some cheapie wine? I was making a gift basket surprise but now they don't allow food to be delivered. So I will have the cute glasses in mine, but no drink to put in it!

You can get wine, beer and hard liquor at the Gift Shops at the Resorts, but cheap they are not.

Who doesn't allow food to be delivered any more???

Exactly where did you hear this???????

Hopefully, this is just a really bad misunderstanding or something on your part. Disney resorts allow food deliveries.

And guess what? Even if for some cosmically stupid reason they decided to ban food deliveries, you can ship yourself whatever you want from home. Have they banned United States Postal Service, UPS and FedEx deliveries, too???:rotfl:

Hmm...I wonder about sparkling juice.

No, no, no...I am talking about the gift basket deliveries. Home based gift basket companies can no longer have food or drinks (even prepackaged foods) in their gift baskets due to Florida state laws without a health department certificate. So they would need to pay for a store front, etc etc to do this.

Of course, you can still have things like pizza delivered...or from companies like the Disney Florist. And of course you can still send things to yourself at the resort from home.

I am just talking about the gift basket companies. :)

So does POFQ have one parking lot or does each building area have a lot?

Hi Angela,
Here is a link to the POFQ map. It looks like there are a few connected parking lots but each building doesn't have its own lot. In particular Buildings 2, 5, and 6 don't appear to be immediately adjacent to a parking lot. This will be my 1st time staying there though so maybe a POFQ expert could answer this more affirmatively! :) :)

If you have a second or third floor room at the front of the resort, you can see the higher up fireworks. There are not many of them, so it is not really a big deal. You can really hear the booms. Sounds like a Florida thunderstorm!

i have a couple of questions for knowledgable POFQ people.

my fiancee and i are going on our honeymoon in december. seeing as how i booked the trip before we were engaged, i didn't get a king bed when i booked but we would obviously like one now. so when i call reservations, should i just ask them to put a king bed request on our ressie? and are the king beds spread out or are they only in certain buildings?

thanks for the help.

Call them and try your very best to change your reservation to a king bed room. A king bed room is an "upgrade" that you pay extra for, $15-$26 per night depending on season. If you leave it up to a simple request, everyone who has a king bed room will be in line ahead of you, and you probably won't get one.

There are not very many of them at POFQ (only 62 king bed rooms out of about 1,000 total rooms), and they tend to go quickly. They are sprinkled throughout the resort, and aren't segregated in one area.

Again, try to RESERVE a king bed room ... and if you can't, try calling back every day or two to ask if any are newly available (such as due to cancelations).

You could add it to the ressie, but I'd pay the extra for the upgrade to be sure. Otherwise, you'd be in a full size bed. Be sure to inform them that you are on your honeymoon too.

Can you see the Epcot show from the road between POFQ and Epcot? I know it still wouldn't be as good as being at Epcot, but you wouldn't have to fight the crowds leaving afterwards.

I don't think you can see anything at all except the higher up fireworks, which are very few. Most of the action is on the lake, and there are plenty of trees in the way. Nice thought, but I don't know of any way to avoid the crowds!

You really need to be at Epcot to see them. You can hear the music from the bus stop. But to get the true affect you need to be at Epcot.

We leave tomorrow morning and I can't wait to see just how well I'm going to like this resort! Stayed at SOG last year, so it's our 1st time in a Disney owned resort.

I just want to thank everyone for all the great info here... you've been a HUGE help!!!!!!!

All of the great information from these forums helped my wife and I choose POFQ. The kids are looking forward to it also!
