Great to hear! My mom has some back issues so I was curious about it since there is enough walking at the parks alone. She really doesn't like me bringing it up as an issue so I'm trying to quietly make things easier on her. She's a tough cookie, very stubborn and refuses to let it interfere in her life. There are times when it gets the best of her for a few days but especially won't let my DD see that it's affecting her.

Enough rambling! Is the hot tub close to the pool? Are there towels at the pool? Also anyone know where I could find a few pics of the playground? Thanks!

Yes the pool and hot tub are close. The hot tub area is surrounded by shrubs. Yes there are towels at the pool. Pics of the playground I have somewhere: POFQ PLAYGROUND PICS

I also have many more pictures in my signature..

Good luck and you will LOVE POFQ :goodvibes

We were in a king smoking room in Building Two. It had an outstanding view of the river where boats take you over to Downtown Disney. We received this view as a free upgrade and were delighted. The walk to the buses from our room was less than three minutes. It was pleasant and healthy.

quickie question about the pool- are there any noodles or other floaty-type (kickboard) available?

EDITED: Nevermind, I reread the thread and found the answer to my question

Solferino: There aren't any noodles or flotation devices at the POFQ (or any other resort) pool, so bring your own. By the way, we'll be there January 1 thru 8, so look for my two teens (boy and girl) to be at the pool, too!

Thanks for the tip on the noodles. I'll tuck in something that's a blow-up to save space for DD. Thanks

We've got the same travel dates :-) We'll be there with DH's parents and DD who turns 7 on the 8th.

Tooth Fairy - notice your from Winston, we live in GSO and just booked the POFQ for 4/29-5/7/06. Fourth time at POR or POFQ but we haven't been since 1999. Looking forward to 8 days of Disney and hopefully riding a new Expedition Everest @ Animal Kingdom. Hoping to be one of the first 50,000 to ride it. :cool1:
Fellow NCers! We're SO excited. Decided last week to head to WDW - POFQ in June '06 (Happy Birthday to ME!!!). FQ looks so wonderful!

Does anything special happen if you are one of the 1st 50k to ride Exploration Everest? We were down there last week and WOW, it looked VERY cool! I CANNOT WAIT!

Agreed - I would also like to find this out.. We are getting the King Bed too. Are they only in certain buildings or are they in all buildings?

Thanks for the pictures.. We are going at the end of feb (27th-march 3rd) and while we aren't "honeymooners" ;) we also don't have any kids. The FQ looks like it can handle all types.. We're really excited ! :groom:

Well we loved it and I can help you out now. ;)

I can't wait to check out this resort. I'll be there in 47 days! Woohoo. Only for one night, but I'll give it a good going over. I plan on staying at POFQ again in November, so it will be nice to have a quick preview!

I just booked our May trip! PO-FQ, May 11 -16, this will be our first time at this resort! Thanks for all the pictures that people have posted, the resort looks really nice :)

I have a question: My DH smokes sometimes  are buildings 6 and 4 still smoking? Thanks :)

Glad to find this Thread staying at POFQ April 7th to the 14th. My daughters first trip 8 months old. We have stayed at Pofq many times and Love it. We stayed at WL in 2004 because we got a great rate of 99.00 a night. But I missed POFQ.

Well it took me a few days, but I made it through lol! I'm really glad there are people who are willing to take the time to review these resorts so wonderfully! Loved reading all your experiences and can't wait for mine!

Thanks to all of you who have posted.

Fantasia - You pictures are just wonderful and your kids are gorgeous!!!!

I was only going to stay at the All-Star Movies for our upcoming trip but because of this thread (I ready the whole thread) I am going to split our stay...3 days at ASMO and 7 days at POFQ.

Thank you all for sharing your reviews, tips and tricks, pictures, and other details of this resort. This is awesome.

I just read this thread because I was interested but now I am hooked. I know my daughter will love this resort too.

Thanks again...I loved the DISboards.
