Sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings. It's the same crud you'll find elsewhere.

Since Nestle has terminated their contract with Disney (or was it vice versa?), isn't the Nescafe also gone? I thought that's what I read somewhere else.

I thought my husband would have a fit over the Nescafe but he drank it every morning without complaint.

You could be right. I should have said it was the same crud as of last August. No one would like a decent cup of coffee more than me!

Andre, thanks for the link, great site!
Been working my way through this thread since we've decided to book two rooms at POFQ vs. a cabin at Ft. Wilderness.
I'm nervous about staying at a Moderate, but excited to try something new!
FQ reminds me of New Orleans Square at Disneyland, one of my favorite places!
Thanks to everyone for all of the information!

I hope you enjoy your stay at POFQ as much as we have! It's really a lovely, peaceful place!

I stayed at FQ 2 years ago and will be there this August from the 7th till the 17th. Can anyone tell me if they have a store there or in Riverside to get milk, cereal etc. I can't seem to remember and we like to eat breakfast in the room. It saves a lot of time. Thanks

i would like to know that too

Good morning,

I am taking my 87 yo mother and 67 yo sister next week. Is it a long walk to the buses from any of the rooms? I tried to request a close room but they said I can only request it at check in. Where would you suggest I ask for?

Joannel,

Your mother is 87, God Bless her! Please call CRO and ask for special needs/requests. Tell them and ask them to help ypu with a room location - they are wonderful. If you have any difficulty please pm me and I will give you a direct number and name.

Have a wonderful, wonderful trip!

I'm sorry if this has been asked a million and two times already. But...What is the food court like? How large is it? Right now we are booked at Riverside. And I'm sure it is just wonderful. But since it is just Hubby and going, I keep getting the opinion that we might be happier at the POFQ. So Now I am totally confused. I know these are sister resorts so does it really matter? Help!! Please!!

The food court is smaller than POR's, but it still has a decent variety, and doesn't get too crowded at peak times.

FQ is a lovely, quaint resort - if you request a room in bldg 6 or 7, you'll be down at the other end of the resport and it's a really pretty, short stroll (5 mins at most).

Unfortunately, the Food Court is not the nicest on property. It used to be that a plus was all the food was cooked fresh to order, but not sure if that is still the case.

The food court has no ambiance - it's often dirty and not cleaned enough. BUT the resort is wonderful, so I would not let the food court prevent a stay.

Also, Scat Cats has Elliot Dyson Wed thru Sun (I think inc Sun) and he is fabulous. Plays Sax, guitar, steel drums, bongos. Very relaxing, yet fun.

Oh! The Beignets are made when you order and absolutely delicious!

Have a great trip!!

Thank you both for responding to my question and not making me feel silly for asking in the first place. We are looking forward to this trip and coming home with rave reviews!! :goodvibes

I think that you would be fine with either resort. The food courts to me seem to be all the same. But I have to say that we love the P.O.F.Q. It's just me and my dh and this is the resort we choose to go to. It is a lot smaller then the other mods and it is our favorite. We have also stayed at POR and it was very nice there, but it can be a long walk to the food courts. I don't think either resort is a bad choice. Because your at Disney World.

I made the reservation through Shades of green, I tried yesterday to call WDW res and they couldn't or wouldn't help me. Then Shades said I had to wait until I got down there. So If you have a number I would love it. Thanks for your help.

I'm replying to your pm, but not sure Disney cna help is the reservation was not made directly through them. It would need to be in Disney's system.

Sending pm. :)

 We have Verizon and have never had a problem-some friends, who have other service carriers, have had trouble in the parks.

:)

Does anyone know how the cell phone reception is at POFQ and the parks?:listen:

We have had Celluar one for the passed few years and never had a problem, not at the hotels or at the parks. Cell one has now become AT & T. I laugh because 8 years ago, we used walkie talkies to communicate and that was a horror. I love having my phone with me now, never a problem... AND I also now take a picture with my camera phone every day of DD, so I never have to wonder what she was wearing that day if she is lost!:goodvibes
