the volvo commercial with that chatty little girl whose dark haired dad picks her up is aired frequently in our area. she is talking on and on about "bugs, and a tiny head, changing colors, etc. the dad just looks in the rear view mirror and smiles. the end of the commercial says; "WHO WOULD YOU BUY A VOLVO FOR?' i expect any moment for volvo to market a new option for their cars everytime i see that commercial. the dad would look in the rear view mirror, smile and press a button that would raise a sound proof shield.

I laugh my butt off everytime I see that. I have to wonder if that's scripted or not. Or maybe even a voice-over. Regardless, it's a hoot!

they did a great job casting it. he looks like he could definately be her father and she looks absolutely spontaneous.

DH and I shake our heads and laugh every time we see it, that is DD to a tee! She will just start on one of her stories and keep going no matter what. We had to laugh when we had her conference with her 1st grade teacher last week, she said DD needs to speak up more in class!!

EVERY TIME that commercial comes on, DH looks at me and says "Oh, look it's Becky when she was little!" Not that he knew me when I was that little but somehow he thinks that's how I was. I guess, though, that WAS how I was/am!
Anyway it's funny to think about how my dad would have reacted the same way the guy in commercial does. HEE!

I have a child like that, too. It drives DH insane, but I just laugh about it and remind him that there will be a day, not too long in the future, when she won't say two words to him all day.

My 17 year old niece has been like that since before she could actually form words. She used to talk non stop and get so mad because we had no idea what she was saying. She still chats non-stop, but I guess because I am only around her once or twice a month I actually enjoy it. She has such energy, enthusiasm and drama.

One of the best commercials I've seen in years. Usually any commercial gets on my nerves after seeing it two or three times but this one is great! Actually the one where the dad is teaching is daughter to drive in the parking lot is a great one too.
