Ok, so I booked 18 months ago for 7 of us and have done all the work, planning, bookings etc...and now we've got less than 2 weeks to go I have that awful feeling that I've forgotten something and everyone's expecting me to have it all sorted...
What's the minimum we need, then anything else is a bonus! LOL!

E Tickets
Passports
ESTA's
Insurance
Travel from Sanford to accommodation booked
Accommodation booked

Got travel to airport and overnight hotel sorted for the night before
Got money cards
Got some dollars

Made a couple of ADR's
Got theme park tickets

We're not hiring a car so no worries there.

What else??

Is it just e-tickets, passports and Esta's to get into the US?

HELP!
Going into panic mode!

Do you have to complete API details or does the agent do this for you for your flights?

Aside from that I wonder if what you've forgotten is a bit of chill out time for yourself to enjoy the last part of the count down after all your hard work and planning .... ;)

Here is my checklist I work through:

  • Flights - Tickets/ESTA/Passport/API
  • Accommodation
  • Car Hire
  • ADRs
  • Magical Express (if needed)
  • Airport Hotel
  • Airport Car Parking
  • Photopass Pre-Order
  • Spending money

I'm the same I always think I've forgotten something. I think it's normal for any trip to think that.
I have a packing list for both our check in bags and carryon bags this helps me see clearly what I have and stops me from over packing.

I would add a couple of other things as follows

Medication do you have enough or do you need to order. I used to work at a Drs and it's amazing how many people would rush in the day of a holiday trying to get a prescription they forgot. Over the counter stuff can be bought there but if your buying at a resort store it's pricier than at a supermarket and with out a car tricker to get to.

Tell your bank your going away even if your not planning to use your cards it's always a good idea to let them know. I had my card stopped once and had to make an expensive call to my bank to get it unblocked.

Holiday insurance that covers America I noticed when I was looking a couple of years ago I noticed a few don't cover the US even though they said world wide.

Overall don't forget to relax I am the planner for DH and I and if I left it up to him we would go with nothing.

There is one thing you should not forget ... it's to relax ... :)

That's the most important thing, because planning a trip can be overwhelming. If you let yourself be overwhelmed, that's when you start to overlook things.

My checklist is fairly straightforward, and is a linear representation of my trip.
I lay out the things as if they were happening and unfolding

I try to picture the trip in my mind. Doing each step as if I were actually doing it (what do I need in this situation, what is required at that step into the trip ?)

I agree with everyone else... RELAX! :) We go to the airport hotel on Thurs and fly on Fri, I KNOW deep down I've got EVERYTHING covered but I still feel like something's been forgotten and I don't know what. I've booked a pamper day at my local beauty salon to relax me COMPLETELY before my hol. Maybe you should pamper yourself too as others have said?? Hope you have a LOVELY trip though! :) :)

I m exactly the same! I drive my other half crazy! Checking and re checking everything! Always a little nervous til we ve actually picked up the car and checked in at hotel! I think after so much planning and money i just want everything to run smoothly!

API's all done too.
Yep, ready for some ME time and a chill out. :cool1:

Thank you for that, we are flying with delta in a couple of weeks. I phoned and asked if I needed to tell them my Esta numbers but was told I didn't need to do anything, else where on this site I read you need to go on line and enter the Esta numbers, so now very confused!!!

The airline doesn't need your ESTA numbers. They should be able to see on the system when you check in if you have a valid ESTA based on your passport number as far as I know. I have never handed over any ESTA information prior to or at check in.

You should be able to just enter your API online by logging into your booking on the Delta website.

And API depend on who you fly with (or maybe even the country you fly from)

As far as I'm concerned (US Airways/france) the API information is entered, either during online check in or at actual check in at the airport.

Log on to your airline account and check if you can enter the API information. If you don't, then you will be requested to do so at online check in.

but I never was asked to enter my ESTA number, or even to produce a proof that I had done my ESTA.
