Hi- I am really new here but am trying to help my cousin book at trip during Thanksgiving week this year for a full hook up site. I can't find anything- is there a trick or is it really all booked up already? Yikes! Thanks

It very well could be full. Keep trying someone will cancel and you need to get in there first.

It's very busy for most holidays, but try booking more days than you want and if that works, go back in a cancel the extra days. It's a quirk of the ressie system, but a lot of people report good results.

I have also heard of people putting together a trip through several reservations as days come available. They then link the reservations and hopefully do not have to change sites. This would really only work with a site-only reservation and requires more deposits as you have to pay a night for each reservation.

Thanksgiving is one of the most popular weeks so good luck to you and your cousin. Make sure they are prepared for big crowds in the parks.

Unfortuantly with Thanksgiving you really need to book a year in advance or hope for a cancellation like the rest of us. You have been given good tips as you probably won't be able to get a cancellation for all your days at one time, so you will probably have to peice it together by calling the reservations office once you do finally get something. Folks use to be really good about saying if they were canceling a stay here on the boards, but I don't know if they still do that or not here. I'd say the best chance will be in October (that's when I lucked out last year and got a cancellation for one night). But I lucked out and got to sail the Wonder one last time instead. So I cancelled it at the end of October.

Keep trying and then try more.
Be persistent and you will probably get what you want.
Just be prepared when you sit down to check. If you get your wish you will want to jump on it. Trust me it won't last long!
