We are booked in a house for the last 2 weeks of November. We realized that this holiday falls over the American Thanksgiving weekend.

So how are the crowds at Disney world with managing a child's wheelchair? Did we get in over my head?

We were in Disney May 2009 and loved it. Has alot changed with the GAC pass and the different enterances?

Thanksgiving crowds are intense - expect MK to hit capacity on Thanksgiving Day and the day after that. It does make it more difficult to navigate the crowds. I suggest avoiding MK entirely these two days.

I am not aware of changes to the GAC process. Most lines are mainstreamed, s wheelchairs can use them without a problem. If your child has other issues past this, then a GAC card can be helpful.

As you are new to the board, and for the benefit of all those reading it, I just wanted to mention that on this board we try not to state the names of stamps and what those stamps do. This is for a variety of reasons, such as that things DO change in how they are handled, and we do not want to create false expectations. Also, there are people out there who abuse the system and cruise these boards looking for the "best" disability to have. I know you have not posted anything against these rules, but I did want to mention them. Thanks and welcome to the boards!
