Thanksgiving week

We're going to Universal (for the first time!) the Monday and Tuesday before T'giving. We're camping at WDW, so we won't have FOTL. I was thinking (and hoping) that the crowds wouldn't get really bad until Wednesday, and the madhouse would be the weekend after Thanksgiving. There are 7 of us and I'm NOT buying express passes. I called yesterday to get priority seating for DD's birthday dinner at Margaritaville, and the woman I spoke with told me that even with a priority seating the wait could be up to an hour because the parks would be filled to capacity from the Sunday before Thanksgiving through the entire week and they were expecting big crowds at the Citywalk restaurants. That has me a bit panicked. Has anyone been the week of Thanksgiving (before T'giving) who can let me know what to really expect? I don't care about waiting at Margaritaville but I'm concerned about spending all of our time in lines. We will be there 30-45 minutes before opening, so I assume that will help.

We've been at USF/IOA for Thanksgiving week three years running (and will be back this year too). I've found that the Mon/Tues before Thanksgiving have been pretty good in terms of crowds. Like you said, just get there early and you'll be in good shape. You do notice an increase in crowds on the Wednesday before Tday though.

Have fun!

Do you think Monday or Tuesday of Tday week would be less busy? Any thoughts?
