Thanksgiving travel information

I am thinking of arriving on Thanksgiving day at LAX. I am wondering is this would be a silly idea. Planes arrive from Australia at approx 6am so we would be making our way to Anaheim at about 8am. Not sure if we would be driving ourselves or using Lansky. We have celebrated Thanksgiving at Disneyland 3years ago so we are aware that the traffic a few days and the day before is terrible.
Should I reconsider arriving on that day due to traffic? Is there an optimum time to travel for example you need to travel before 11 or after 3 due to everyone driving to families places for lunch?

I actually haven’t thought about traffic at all...
Not there is anything I can do about it, but at least I can brace myself for it now... so thanks for pointing it out...

Traffic won't be terrible at that time. Most far away travelers have arrived at their destination and most local travelers haven't gotten up, so you will probably face a below average LA rush hour unless there are accidents on the way.
