Tip #1
As I was getting out the silver flatware to set the table this morning, my Mom noticed that the tines of the forks were a little tarnished and she didn't have any silver polish. Being the font of obscure knowledge that I am, I said "we don't need polish; we can use baking soda and tin foil!! I remember seeing something about it on tv. I'll go look the instructions up on the internet."

Now we have shiny forks and even learned something new about sciene today. I guess watching television does pay off sometimes. :rolleyes1

Tip #2
When planning on serving a turducken for 12 people, remember that turduckens are rectangular whereas turkeys are oval, so you will to make sure your roasting pan will work with your fowl butcher creation. Thankfully my Mom found an extra roasting pan in the garage that will work. (Don't ask about the turducken - my Mom has been watching too much Food Network lately. I am just going along with the flow this year.) :scared:

Anybody else got some helpful tips?

If Thanksgiving gets to stressful, take a vacation to the UK, we don't celebrate it, and the exchange rate for you guys is really good at the moment!
