Thanksgiving 2007!!!

We had shirts for our group on RCL, one of are old Turkey cruisers (Lisa you know my fellow Texan Willie Miller) had them printed up as a batch and mailed them out to the other cruisers. I think the total cost was $14.00 a shirt with shipping included.I will call him and find out the company that did them. ( good quality shirts and great art work)

Have a great weekend, gang! I'm heading to WDW tonight after work with Logan and Leah. DH Lenny couldn't take the days off.

We are just going for a quick weekend trip to meet a friend from the DIS who lives in Scotland. I'm so excited to meet Cami, her DH Stuart, and their little princess Abi for the first time! :woohoo:

Hi...You seem to be an experienced Thanksgiving cruiser...we are planning to book for Thanksgiving 08 - just wondering if you could share a little of the magic with us to help us decide if we should cruise at that time of year? Any advice would be much appreciated

For us Thanksgiving has been a great time to cruise. The weather has been nice overall and it works with our work and school schedules. Please let us know if you have any particular questions.

Hey gang! We entered double digits today for the cruise countdown!!!! :woohoo: :dance3: :cheer2: :cool1:  :cloud9:

I am so bummed out right now. I've been waiting for my SIL to make up her mind on excursions. By the time she finally settled on everything, the Dolphin Swim Adventures are all booked up. :(

This the one thing that my kids really wanted to do, and now I have to tell them we can't book it. I should have just booked it for my family weeks ago when it was available, and then added the rest of them later. :sad2:

In case anyone else is interested in the half day Stingray City/snorkeling excursion through Capt. Marvin's, we are booked on it from 10 am to 1 pm. It's $40/pp.

I've also booked tandem parasailing in Key West for the four teen boys traveling with us. The ladies in our group are heading to the Butterfly Conservatory in KW.

I guess I better prepare myself for not alot of choices when it's time for me to book my excurs. because I can't book until Sept. 3rd. :sad2: Does everything book this fast? Is the Capt.Marvin's a nonDisney excursion? Thanks, Melinda

Laura-

Sorry about the Dolphin swim adventure! Is there a waiting list that you and your family can get on in case there is a cancellation?

Lisa

I went on my own for the Capt Marvin's and the KW parasailing. I think I can book beginning this Friday for anything through Disney.

I think that just the dolphin excursions book quickly. Is there anything you are interested in that can be booked independently? I like the boards at Cruise Critic. They were very helpful with excursion and port information.

Good morning, Lisa!

I e-mailed them to see if there was any more availability, but I haven't heard back yet. Hopefully I'll hear back from them tomorrow.

Melinda-

The excursions that Laura booked, I believe she booked privately--not through Disney. In the past, people have been able to book the Disney excursions on the ship even if they didn't book prior to boarding.

Lisa

Well, I'm glad I e-mailed Dolphin Discovery, because now they tell me they have openings on our day in port! :cool1: I don't know why I couldn't book it on their website, though, but at least we have our spots reserved now. :woohoo:

I need to get moving on getting Pat to design our logo for our cruise so we can see about ordering t-shirts. :)

Hey Turkey Cruisers!

Remember us? We were on the Thanksgiving 2005 cruise - it seems so long ago.

I have a big favor to ask -- I lost my DCL zipup sweatshirt hoodie. I am so sad about this as it was my favorite souvenir.

If any of you might be able to pick up another one for me - assuming they still sell them onboard, I would be SO grateful.

I will pay in advance, of course, and also shipping costs, etc.

Please let me know if you would be willing. I wish someday we could cruise Disney again!

Thank you,
Kris

Hi everyone!

We are looking forward to spending Thanksgiving on the Magic! I can't believe it's getting so close.

Our kids are DS14, DD12, DS11, and DD7.

The kids weren't so thrilled about the kids clubs last time. My sons thought it was a little too much like school (I need to check this out.....maybe their school is too fun). They spent the entire cruise shooting basketball on Deck 10 with occcasional stops for pizza and icecream. My daughters enjoyed it a little more than that, but still were not completely on board.

I am hoping things will be a little better this time. My older son will be in the teen club, and that should help. My youngest is a little older as well and a little more outgoing.

Our last cruise was in Feb. of 2006, and the weather was really terrible. I am hoping we'll have better luck this time.

Even so, we made such great memories, that we can't wait to see what this trip brings us.

Hi everyone,

We're now booked to join you all! Our case of characters is DH, DS (he's 9) and me. This is our first Disney cruise (I think we're gonna get hooked) and our 3rd cruise overall (Carnival and RCCL).

We vacationed in Key West last summer and it was wonderful. We've been to Grand Cayman and love Rum Point Beach and Cozumel is always a good stop too. This will, of course, be our first time to Castaway Cay.

Can't wait!
