Greetings from a former lurker...
I'm actively trying to be more outgoing on the board, and respond to questions that I actually know the answer to, plus give folks a chance to get to know me because I know a lot about other folks. I've been lurking for a long time...probably 7 or more years.

In the beginning (one message board) Pete & the moderators couldn't keep folks "on topic" so in response to that he created the Community Board, and the site has exploded! I also remember the popular threads - the corn story, a seagull story, emu legs vs. turkey legs, and the list goes on & on. I also remember when Pete would post a message once a week, and when he shared his life story, and how DIS came to be in existence. What a dream come true for him!


I'm not sure what brought me out of lurking, but I'm enjoying myself. And like everyone else...I wish Delswife would post more stories, and can't wait till her December trip to hear more about sunburn slaps, 2 steps to the right, Pigtails, and attack ducks!

So thanks Pete for all the years of laughter, tears, happiness & craziness you've been instrumental in bringing to all our lives.

I was the one from the original board who would stray a bit off topic. Me and Jackie/Nova Scotia and Chris/Fl. We were naughty at the time. I was home back then and played on the dis during the day.

Lunchtime chat was great and Pete would stop in now and then for that.

Ahhh, I miss those days.
