Thank You Corey

For those of you scared to join Facebook...don't be! For one, you can set your profile to private and then people who aren't your friends can't see anything. Plus it is totally up to you how much or little info you want to add about yourself. I love it for being able to keep up with old friends; I created a group for my high school class and there are over 50 of us there already (out of 400).

As much as I want to I am not going to join because then people I do not know could find my last name and stalk me and kill me. (I am not talking about any of you guys but it is an open group sooo...)

LOL. I'm right there with ya, Gibson. I won't be joining either.

BTW, y'all....what exactly will be going on over there that we can't get here? (Never been to Facebook and was never interested in MySpace.)

I joined to stalk my DD...I friended all her friends, and even though she tries to keep me out, I just get the info on her that way.

Oh, I do love Facebook! It's an obsessive mommy's dream!

As intriquing as it sounds, I have enough trouble finding time to keep up on the disboards. I think I'll take the sit back and see what happens approach.

I created my facebook page two days ago and then I found out about the The DIS facebook page yesterday. I have been looking for some old friends.....and started finding them. Although one person I know has a facebook page, yet I cannot find him????

GenieCat - Don't get me started on Norman, OK....there are some freakin mean people in that work in that town.....

While people can really get involved in Facebook groups, I think the main purpose they serve for businesses is promotion. So, while you won't find the activity on the Facebook page that you do here, adding them on Facebook and upping the group's numbers is a free and easy was to promote the DIS. Considering that the DISbords are a free service for us users, I'm happy to give DIS/Dreams all the help I can! :thumbsup2

My mom did the same exact thing. All of her friends are either my friends or family members. I don't mind too much though, everyone thinks it's funny

Another "Thanks" from me to Corey and Will for starting the Facebook group!

My top reasons for joining the Dis group are 1) to show my DIS pride on my own Facebook page and 2) to support the DIS and hopefully have some of my friends and family check it out after seeing it on my page.

Facebook has been a great tool for me in keeping up with friends and family in their daily lives, finding old classmates and co-workers. I don't like MySpace -- once people "pimp" out their profiles they can be impossible to read!

Facebook is what you make it; you can share as little or as much info as you want. Social networks, like MySpace and Facebook are powerful tools that can be used for good or evil.

Just over having a look and love your photo Corey - Julie looks adorable with that lil bump :thumbsup2

Must get round to joining :thumbsup2
