Can I interject to day that as serious as this virus is, if you feel like something is off with you medically PLEASE seek help instead of putting it off! I'm in Texas - my brother has had stomach pains for almost a week but wouldn't go to the doctor or hospital for fear of being infected. He is in surgery right now having dead colon removed and may not make it. PLEASE don't be so afraid that you ignore warning signs!

I am sorry your brother was so afraid. I'd encourage folks to contact their provider if they have a concerning symptom.
And wear a mask. Less spread, fewer cases makes the hospital safer and more accessible.

I've experienced the same in Texas. Glares or open mockery for wearing a mask in a public place, even when it's required. 100% agree with @msdaisy and @AustinTink !

Here’s a conspiracy theory for you. What if this is a part of master plan to have a large wealth transfer between the old people and the young people. You tell the young people that they can’t die from it. You open it up and let them gather. They catch the virus and spread it to their parents and grandparents. The grandparents bite it. Some of the parents bite the dust. The wealth is transferred to the kids who spend on a lot of ridiculous stuff. The economy takes off, and the billionaires get even richer. Sounds like something Mulder would say. What would Scully say?

Have you checked today's numbers? New cases more than doubled what was reported yesterday.

I went out yesterday and it looked like a few more were wearing masks than before in Frisco. It's in no way up to even half though. It's very frustrating because I'm sure that way more people could handle it. And the governor continues to do nothing.

Hang on folks, it's going to be a bumpy ride.

Thank you so much. We do a curbside grocery order every 10 days. Other than walks after dark when most people are inside, that's all we do. My son is still working on getting well after his illness.

My husband drives a dually truck with mud flaps and was born and raised in the country. He's a Bubba. It's not a derogatory term. It's a Texas term.

Texan here. Science has definitely left the building in Texas. I feel like I’m back in school and part of a huge group project - I’m doing my part, but no one else is so we are all going to fail. It’s maddening - it even angers some people to see you wearing a mask. It’s a very scary predicament.

I am trying to wrap my head around the fact that it angers some people to see others wearing a mask!!!! That's crazy!!! Sorry that you and others are being treated like that.

My heart breaks for good friends of mine. Cove it is not only heartbreaking due to the illness but it’s also keeping families from seeing each other. My friend lives in Germany and he’s from Houston originally. He has not seen his mother in over two years and had planned a family trip with him and his wife and kids to visit his mother and sister. It’s crazy how things change so fast as things were looking great about two weeks ago. Then the southern states exploded with their cases. As a US citizen he and his family are able to enter the US no problem even now they’re just now concerned if the EU will take them back without any long quarantine now. He’s willing to risk going to a hotspot as all the plan to do is just sit at home with family anyways

When our Houston son’s work called people in, maybe 2-3 weeks ago, masks were frowned upon, and he had a face to face conferences and one fellow in the room was tested positive, since then there’s more. He was concerned and has taken a camping vacation since then. He and his wife are in their 40’s and two sons under 10. He can’t stay on vacation forever, but he hopes things settle down before he returns.

On a very scary note, our other son, also in 40’s in Western FL tested positive as did our 15 year old immune deficient DGD. He worked from home, only two in work meetings a month. He thought they would be safe, he was as careful as he knew how.

Every day I have prayed for all involved, the sick, the workers, everyone. Yesterday I found out these two were included in my prayers.

I think that businesses are supposed to require masks. Collin County, where I live requires nothing.

We were doing great here in Michigan but now the numbers are going back up again and the Governor is concerned that we might have to take a step back if it continues. I've noticed that mask use has seriously declined around here, practically nobody is wearing them any more, which is probably why we're seeing more cases. People just figured "Oh, it's over, great, I don't have to worry any more!" and they went back to things are usual. Now we might have to start closing things up again.
