Sitting here in Central Texas and it's supposed to 101° today and we're in the middle of a drought, which means predators like coyotes and wild boars, plus critters like rattlesnakes have been more and more frequently seen in residential areas. My next door neighbors actually had a rattlesnake in their back yard last night. Yeah, I know Florida has snakes and 'gators, but I really can't see them making Texas work. We also had a tornado in our neighborhood in May of this year (luckily no one was hurt).

Besides all of that, Disney would have to work incredibly hard to overcome the "wild West" Texas stereotype, especially to attract international guests. I often meet people while I'm traveling who seem shocked that I don't have an accent or a horse.

I disagree. I also live in Texas and I think it would be great. First there's lots of land, two there's a big population, three there are lots of airports so lots of people can come. I also think it be neer Fort Worth .(Just my opinion)

They won't. Because it would cannibalize too much of their WDW and DLR attendance.

No, not going to happen. Despite all those "heard it from a good source" rumors that pop up regularly about Disney building a park in TX its just not in the cards. Would draw people away from the existing US parks.
