TEXANS....How hot is the "World"?

I grew up in Pasadena and Dallas, now I live in Katy (west Houston). Here's the deal, in the summer we don't go outside in the middle of the day. Kids play early and late. I don't want to pay money to be outside in heat that I wouldn't be outside in at home. We went last September and the weather was the same as here. Some days hot, some days cool.

Oh and my "Yankee Boy" husband refuses to go anywhere in the summer unless it is air-conditioned.:p

Howdy from West Texas! Needless to say the weather is a lot different than what we have here. Orlando is more of the oppressive/sauna heat, not so much the searing heat we have here. I'm originally from the Houston/Pasadena area and I don't know how I grew up with all that humidity. We typically go to WDW in March so it's not too bad. That time of year it's nice to see all the lush green in Orlando after a winter of brown up here!

We are in LakeJackson, which is south of Houston right on the Gulf. I have always felt that the temp and humidity was very much the same. I would say that we have a little more of a breeze, which makes things a TINY bit more bearable at time. Howdy to all the Texans! (I'm really from Louisiana, but the rest of my gang are true blue Texans, and I did get here as fast as I could!)

Friendswood here :D The past June was our first summer visit to Orlando and it was dang hot. It was hotter there then here but they said it was unually hot for that time of year. We have also been in Sept and Oct and its the same here and there for me, hot and humid.

I was at WDW the first week in May in 02. The weather was the same in Orlando as what we were getting in Austin.

We were at WDW the begining of June this year and it was more hot and humid than home.

I'm in Euless (in between Dallas and Ft. Worth) and I've gone in May the last several years and I'm very pleased to report the weather is gorgeous!! It's not real humid yet and upper 80s/lower 90s - which is no big deal. You'll have a lovely time and the flowers at Epcot are absolutely spectacular during the Festival!!

*Bump* In case some Texans missed this.

 to all of the Texans out there. Mommaof3, I once lived in Lake Jackson a very long time ago. It's a small world for real. :)

OP, if you can handle the weather outside where you live now, WDW should be fine.
