Hi all,

Trying to expand my horizons on my next trip and try some new rides. How intense is test track? Would it be ok for a 7 & 9 year old? (The most intense ride we have ever done was soarin').

Thanks,
Marina

Agree with Robo,
only slightly more intense than Soarin and really at the end of the ride.
give it a try.

Do they still subject riders to test #7?

;)

Yup , I agree. No worse than driving fast on the highway, or driving fast go carts

Honestly. If you have ever ridden in a car on the highway and just about exceeded 55MPH, your good. Scale of 1-10 on the thrill meter - 3.

It's a great ride and the most thrilling part is when it goes around the track. It feels really fast but it is around 60mph I think and we all do more than that on the highway! My SIL's mom won't go on any of the roller coasters, but TT is her favorite ride in all of WDW! So I really think you should give it a go.

Yep not bad. I'm a softie for rides (no ToT or RRC) and I love this one.

The indoor part is very mild....the outside part is quite fun and just like you're on the highway. Ignore the screams and stuff when you're by the building outside....people overreacting.

I'm going to agree with everyone and would add before the refurb which changed the themeing to more of a Tron motif TT was played pretty straight. It's just like riding in a car.

I rode it with some young kids and they seemed to do ok. My mom is a ride wimp and she handled it fine.

My adult niece is a complete ride wimp. She didn't like TT at all. It was more intense than she liked. She really rides nothing except It's a Small World, Carousel of Progress, etc. I don't think she even rode Soarin.

It only goes 64 but it feels like 104 since you are so close to the ground. Every time it goes into the final turn I swear it is going to go into the parking lot, but it can't, it is safe. And one of the best rides at WDW.

I feel her pain! I love soarin' but in the beginning when you hear that whoosh!! and you go up 30 feet or so my stomach drops!

104!! Yikes!! ummm. That might be too much for me o_O

My 76 year old aunt rode it this summer and she doesn't do amusement parks - at all. She rode everything at Disney and had a blast. My kids have been riding TT since they were tall enough - probably 3. It's not bad at all.

Yeah no. It doesnt feel like 104. It hits 65 mph for like half a sec. Ever had to accelerate onto the highway quickly to merge. Thats about it. The track is set at an angle to make you feel 'pressure'. You are pushed down into your seat.

You could very safely ride this without any restraints. And it is beyond fine for a 7yr old. 2 yr olds go on it every single day.

It feels like driving in a car with a bit of a crazy driver in the dark, lots of side swipes and screeching on the brakes inside. No real hills or overly excited thrills inside. When you come out on the banked track, you eventually accelerate to 65, but that's by the end of it, you aren't that fast the entire time. It's exactly like being in a convertible car on the highway. Its fast, your hair blows around. In this case, you are on an angle since it's a banked track. You are very securely buckled in and other than some jarring stops, its not really bumpy. It's not at all like a roller coaster. For people that like speed, it's pretty fun. It's nothing like Tower of Terror, but it is fast. There aren't any drops or stomach feelings. I say, if you don't have a health concern, you can always try and close your eyes if you don't like it. In about 2 min, it'll all be over and at least you gave it a shot so you know if you like it or not. I would never personally ever take my mother on it. She has major panic attacks and can barely drive on the hwy, not to mention her back injuries. So its not for the absolutely against speed faint of heart, but it's not a thrill coaster either.
