Hi friends....Friday night it is.............where's the bartender?? ED....come on now, its time to serve it up....slide it on down the bar, I'm sitting at the end waiting...........

Met my family after work and we did dinner at Friday's....ran 2 quick errands and now here we sit, back at the ranch again

I will probably stay up til I drop, just because it's Friday and I can and still wake up at my usual 6 a.m.

my turn to whine.


son left at 8 this morning to see girlfriend.
i just called him at 10:15 pm.......he tells me he will come home later, much later.
he thinks he will be home at 6 in the morning. WHAT ???i screamed in the phone.....

he says he can put the rest of the stuff in the car when he gets home and we can leave at 7 then.

what's this we stuff.....

he hasn't finished packing and nothing is in the car except what i put in.
i found some of his clothes in plastic bags today so i put them in a suitcase.


i called him to tell him the snow is really coming down now and to take his time coming home, thought he would be here by 11ish tonight.
the later it gets to morning, the more the temps are dropping and there is a lot of ice on the roads now.

they turn 21 and they think they don't have to sleep.
i know he will fall asleep in the car once we pull out of the drive way in the morning.


now, i won't be able to sleep until he gets home worrying about him driving home in the morning. it's one and a half hour drive from girl friend's house to home.

My plans to veg on the computer til all hours fell apart, no lie, I was sitting her reading with my face in my hands and literally started to fall asleep while doing so, so I just went to bed, tried to watch a little TV and kept drifting off, so I put the lights out and went to sleep. I slept til 8 this morning too I did wake up around 6 and said NOPE not getting up.

Need a little breakfast in my tummy, see ya later.

mac - take it easy (on the road & ds lol)...kids, geez.

oldest DS on honeymoon called w/an SOS today from WDW, they messed up printing boarding passes & seat assingments (thank you AirTran rewards dept for helping me fix their mess...i'll never bad mouth you again on these boards )

then the mail came & DH opened one of our bank statements & asked what I spent $800 on 5 days before Xmas (hmmmm, i dunno lol). Appears as though someone waltzed into the bank, asked for a "counter check"...you know the ones they hand you if you forget your checks; and proceeded to cash it in, drawn on our account! Bank is a rural, behind the times set up...not our main bank, openend investment acct there for good CD rates, etc. Apparently, their computer system doesn't have the ability to pull up the check, it has to be done via a manual pull...said they'd have info on it in a week . If it's fraud, then we have to file a report, yadda-yadda. To top it all off, they want to charge me $25 to process the initial pull. Not if they still want my business there, they won't. *best part of vent...when i finally got my mitts on an asst. mgr via the phone today @ branch, I asked if they always request a photo-id before they provide a counter check...she said "no"; depends on the teller's discretion...

mic - do you have MLK day off? Everytime i have a chance to stay up late i tend to fall asleep too...older i get the more i like curling up in bed w/book/dvd & falling off to sleep. Seems when i sleep in past 9, i get zip accomplished in the day. Guess i'm a creature of habit.

ed - would that be triple time? You should tend bar...i'll take a bahama mama.

Hi Gant....oh boy, hope your team wins....ya know I don't follow football, so I can say that Having a playoff spread or party at the house?

KS, wow, glad you got the kids straightened up on the plane ride...they always know where to find Mom, don't they.

Nope haven't seen those socks, and can't say that I find them attractive I prefer to don my flip flops with bare feeties...LOL

Oh MY, your bank would just cash a check, a check THEY handed to someone without ID? WTH is up with that. Good grief, even a small bank should have more sense than that. Hope it gets all straightened out, and I would refuse to pay the $25 fee. Man, I would be furious over all that.

Speaking of furious, we get a letter from my dh's retirement fund, that when they settled with him LAST MAY, they made a wrong calculation and overpaid him, so we can just send them a check for $799....gee, I'll just whip that out of my back pocket I know we'll have to pay it back, but they will get it in bits and pieces...it just torques me the stuff they come up with after you retire. They take almost a year to find their oversight, they can let me pay it back when I have it.

No, I don't have MLK day off, regular day for us, and we will be busy, cause everyone else will be off and wanting to come in to see material. I actually started working there last year on MLK day, so I remember I was so overwhelmed...and here it is a year later and I can whip those customers around now like I own the place......... I finally feel comfortable in my skin at my desk and feel I know what I'm doing.

mic - feeling comfortable in your own skin is a major coup IMO (i'm still waiting to feel grown up...don't think it's ever coming my way lol)

i'm am stressing about the bank, absurd imo; trying to be mature (there's that word again ). Def a boozing night for me, of course i'm a cheap date anymore 1 or 2 & i'm ready for nappie time.

i shall second the vote for veg out day...i went thru my desk & starting tossing papers, looking for tax info (DS is still shredding.

Everyone here's too lazy to go out to eat (except me, probably since i've got to do the cooking) gift cards burning a hole in my pocket. Think sweet & sour chicken sounds tasty...hope i've got tenders in the freezer or it's McDs for us.

I wear "clacks" as we call them but, mostly crocs...

i wore crocs for orthopedic reasons long before they were "disney cool" ; now even i am sick of seeing them...sure as heck don't think they're a fashion statement.

Noah his first basketball game and they won! It was like 20-8...he made no shots but was fouled big time with no call when he did shoot. He had some really good passes though...We were very proud of him.

Then we ran to Lincoln to get some stuff....mostly groceries...i can't wait for our wal-mart to open...it opens the 19th!!

I went out and rented a couple of movies so that is what we are going to do now.

Morning all!!!!

We watched The Borne Supremecy and The Devil's Own. To older movies but we have never seen them. Matt Damon was in the first one and Brad Pitt was in the second one...my tom and dick!!! The second one was kinda hard to follow we thought but it was okay.

I let my kids skip sunday school today....i thought some sleeping in would do them good since they have all been sick and it is stinkin' cold out there!!!

I guess we are suppose to get some snow today...so we are just waiting for that. Trent has a game today and we were suppose to go to our last christmas party today but it got cancelled until next sunday.

Morning or guess it's afternoon now....it is overcast here, no snow in the forecast for us thankfully, maybe some more rain...keep that white stuff out thataway

Glad you enjoyed the movies, even if you didn't understand the one too well, at least you had your tom and dick I ended up staying in chat until almost 12:30...I never stay much past 10 or so...we were having fun I guess and time got away from me

Not much happening, ds and his buddy are building the new computer, so the kitchen table is a mess of electronics right now, I'm staying out of the way...must be nice to be young and able to build a computer, but then I figure he had to have gotten his smarts from his momma... I'm a proud one too, he made Dean's list last semester. Not that that is something out of the ordinary, but he does work full time plus does the school work, so I think that makes it a little special he did so well....

Got a little bit more laundry to do something with today, so off to do that...got a couple shows taped....wasted another weekend not doing anything constructive, but I really don't care.
