Just a quick drop bye to thank you all for caring about me and the tooth.......

Oy....what a day I had....drove 25 miles to my dentist, took an x-ray, said looks bad, you need to go the endodonist...get an appt. for 12:15, a work-in, so I go to work for 2 hrs., head to endo...listen to his spiel, "well, I would like to save it, I recommend saving it, but I really can't tell how deep/bad the crack in it is til I perform a root canal, but you can have it extracted"...I'm in the chair getting more fidgety about it all, my head is hurting and I'm about ready to say just yank it.....when Dr. says "well, if you were my wife, I'd suggest going ahead with the RC"...so we discuss terms (my insurance doesn't kick in til 7/1, get that worked out) and away we go for the RC. Now I'm not frightened, but I get very apprehensive and when they start loading up my mouth with paraphanalia, I start really getting antsy...and as he is working, I still feel pain...so I live through it all and he then says, well, the crack looks bad, I'll call your regular dentist to discuss. Comes back and says "we both think it wise you get it extracted"....... :guilty: So, with my mouth numb to jell and back, I go 2 buildings up the road to an oral surgeon. At this point I'm crying cause I'm upset, by myself and just having a pity party. I get to the oral surgeon and you would think he was digging a bouldar out of my jaw, it was pretty blood pressure raising....I figured with the local (plus all the crap left over from the RC) it would be a piece of cake.......WRONG...it was rough. I got home, had a good meltdown and I'm feeling much better about it all and getting ready to go lounge around. Enough drama/excitement for one day. I did not fill the script for pain, it is called Norco?? and she said "you can't work, drive, or do much of anything on this pain med"......so I think I will pass and use Motrin. I also have a script for Vicodin from the RC doc....wanna get them filled and we'll have a party :hippie: Thanks again for all the good wishes....I did just fine, I just got my blood pressure sky high with anxiety, but I'm a big girl and can take it. :p I actually was better being alone...I just made my own decisions and got on with it............I do have a couple stitches so I have to go back to that mean ole nasty place in 10 days............. :sad2:

Deena, is CKU anything with Creating Keepsakes? Oh my, tell me all about it, I want to KNOW............sounds fun

Mac, we can be chinese together, although I don't think Motrin will have the same effect as whatever you are dosing....... ;)

KS, off to the motherland...........have a blast, think of us...........just have FUN, FUN, FUN

Pam, are you barking like a dog today when you hear a siren?? :rotfl:

Momma, sorry your fav aunt went home...I hate saying goodbye, I always cry. I'm not a good-bye kinda girl...always makes me sad.

Jules, all the kitty's are very cheerful.............glad you posted them. My doggie immediately started sniffing my face, and has been hanging around me, he knows I don't feel well.

I'm hoping to be more normal tomorrow, I have a ton of errands that need to get done........I'll see what the morrow brings

Sorry you had such a rough day. I wanted to cry reading your story, I can only image how I would feel if it were me. :grouphug:

Here's hoping you feel better soon

BDD_Harley_new_year.jpg

jules, i still remember from way back that was a nickname for you juju.

i couldn't ever forget you and the pet names.

mic, i hope you are reading this.

norco i have had before and have driven after taking it but it was a one time only driving on that stuff. it was given to me for emergency help and i thought i could get home before it kicked in. it took about 25 minutes for it to kick in for me.
if you are not used to hard narcotics, then take it in order to aleve the pain so you can sleep. i think norco is used best for the worse pains so you can get rest. i only drove with norco in me one time only.

it made me dizzy and light headed and it scared me trying to drive home. i only had to drive 3 miles when it hit me. norco will relieve violent headaches also. but, it will make you sleep soundly.

vicodin is for moderate pain.
i can function on it and drive while on it. but then, my body has built up a tolerance for it.

get that one filled also and use it when the gum starts to throb. if you have not had it before, do not drive on it. you have to see how it effects you first.

have mr mic get the scripts filled so when you wake up at midnight in severe pain/ache, you can take a pill to get back to sleep.

even deena will tell you vicodin is good for teeth pain. remember when she had her tooth problem?

hey deena, did yo ever go back and have that root canal?
you didn't do it due to michaels graduation.
did you get it done once you came back from teh motherland?

anyhoot mic, you take it easy.

now, i can translate for mic when she speaks chinese this weekend.

No. You know how it does. If it doesnt hurt dont fix it :teeth: I decided Im looking for a dr who will knock me out to do it. I just cant do the dentist thing with needles and drills. I would rather give birth with no drugs.

deena, my dentist used nitrous oxide besides the novacaine and i did not feel pain.

he started with the gas before he gave me the novocaine,
the shot still hurt but not as bad without it.

also his waist was near my face and he knew how i react to pain..... :rolleyes1

get a dentist that will use gas with the shots.
it really makes it easier to deal with.

Hi all.........ahhhhhhhh...JuJu, what a cute doggie in a Boston uniform...thank you, that cheered me up

Mac, thanks for all the good advice and it was good to chat...we are a pair aren't we? too oldies but goodies starting to fall apart...

Deena, just hope your tooth doesn't do as mine did and you wake up in agony with it. I had lived that once before, that is why I was in such a rush to get this fixed, I did not want to go through what happened on my last RC. Actually, the RC isn't so awful...I'm just very jumpy with anything like that. If I can do it alone, someone else can. This one was a piece of cake compared to the previous.

Thanks for all the well wishes...my jaw is tender, but so far, no screaming pain, so I'm hoping it will be ok. Yes, I have the scripts here for the dope if I decide I need it. I'm just not a person to take that stuff unless I absolutely need it. . . and if I feel the need, I'll take it, that is for sure.

Ok, its downright hot this evening...supposed to hit 90's this weekend.... :guilty:

Deena, that CKU sounds so neat! I will go and read it more when I'm feeling a little more chipper, but man, you are gonna have so much fun and learn some neat techniques. I may scrap again in another lifetime ;)

mic, get some rest.

that was a neat doggie that juju/jujustar posted for you.

i'm glad it made you smile like the kitties she posted that made me smile.

yea, we are the leaders of the pack .
good thing we only are loosing teeth and stones at this point in life..

keisha, be sure to check in before you leave for the motherland.

losing a little weight would be good also.. :teeth: :thumbsup2

we are on page 2222.....that reminds me of a show years ago...mac will remember......Room 222

must have jogged some brain cells lose today with all that pulling, to remember that show........ :rotfl:

room 222, of course i remember that show.
i used to watch it.

just came back to tuck all of you into bed.

sweet sleep.

catch you in the morning.

mic- i feel so bad for you going through all this pain and agony :grouphug:

i hope you and mac get a good night sleep, you both need it!

ks- have a great time

deena- tha's great you do scrapbooking. i can barely glue ice cream sticks
together
i remember Room 222- Karen Valentine

I don't know 222.

Sorry you are in so much pain Mic. I hope you are feeling much better today.

DEENA - why arent you doing the CKU in Atlanta??? :sad2: You have a place to stay. I'll just send Lee somewhere else. :thumbsup2 Nico has bunk beds and Julie has a trundle bed..there is PLENTY of space. :teeth:

Mac - I hope you are feeling better. I know it was hurting the stitches when you spoke. Are they dissolvable stitches or do you need to go back and get them out?

MJ - what are your weekend plans?

Morning Momma, you are the early bird today and on a Saturday too

Room 222 was a show about teachers/kids, but it was way before your time! Probably ran on TV from 1969 to early 70's...were you even thought of then?? ;) :goodvibes It was a good show though

I may try and do my errands today before I poop out. No pain to speak of, but my jaw feels like someone punched me and I can't open my mouth real wide (now that is sad if I want to cuss someone out :teeth: ) No bleeding or such, so I think I'm on the road to being ok. I'll do what I feel like, then come home. If I don't do this stuff, then I have to do it one night after work and I don't feel like it. Tomorrow we may do what we had planned for Friday night before all this happened, we want to go see "Cars" ... we will make that our Father's Day treat I guess.

Ok, everyone, have a wonderful day! See ya later

Momma, that would have been nice for Deena to do the CKU in Atlanta, an excuse for you two to get together! Oh change your plans Deena, that would be fun!! :sunny:

Mac, good luck today........ :grouphug: My stuff is so minor compared to what you are going through..........hugs and prayers my friend

Morning all

Hope everyone is feeling some what better today :grouphug:

Morning all!

Mic--so sorry about your day yesterday! I am glad you are feeling better though....i hate the dentist....I think I would do ALOT of other things rather than going there.

Mac--are you starting to feel better?!

Jules--great pictures!

KS--have fun in disney!

Muffy--did you watch the tapes yet for your dd's ipod? did you see anything?

Ocm--are you going to go back home?

deena--sounds like alot of fun! I bet you will learn alot from those classes!

We went last night to pick trent up from camp and saw their little camp fire skits....it was cute...they finished it off with some awsome fireworks....i did find out last night that i will probably have to take some sunglasses to the firework show this year as they are very bright for my eyes...thinking that is one of the side effects from the lasik, but hopefully it will get better.

today we have two ballgames...back to the ballgame shuffle!

Have a good day everyone!

I'm outta here too...

Good luck at the games today Pam, glad your baby is home :cool1:

It is getting hot here :sad2:

good morning homies and friends.

happy saturday morning to all.

mic, i am glad you were able to get some rest last night.
i still say, take the dope and get a good nap in today.

i am hanging in there.
i pulled some of the white infection out from the floor of my mouth.
better than swallowing it......

i got up at 5:15 for the lab work.
got there at 6:00 and there were 9 people ahead of me. the lab portion opened at 7. found out i left my insurance card at home so i had to leave.

no way am i going back today. i figured if i have a problem, it will still be there monday and i will go back at 6 monday morning. i am not going to let this worry rule my life anymore.

pam, i have been meaning to ask you but have been so foggy lately i keep forgetting.

about aubrey, the eye exam and having to wear the glasses all the time. how is that going? is she keeping them on more? when do you take her back.

i am hoping she will not have to have the surgery. she is too little to have to go thru that.

i will try to stop in later.

juju, glad you got your morning smile in today !
