The last 21 years I've spent enjoying little league action (figure I've got 5 more years to go), has given me all the bb action I can handle LOL. Professional baseball has morphed into something I can't get into...doesn't help that Kevin McClatchey, the current owner of the Pirates, is determined to suck every $ he can out of the franchise & let any shred of talent head for greener pastures. We're still paying for the stadium & Heinz field too...after we voted it down in a referendum.

At the risk of dating myself...the greatest "manny" that played the game was Manny Sanguillen, catcher for the '79 team (series champs). His persona was unfailingly polite, mega-watt smile, active in youth sports, etc., overshadowed by P. Rose & his big mouth @ the time. Can't miss an opportunity to mention Roberto Clemente either

Man does that bring back memories. My grandma used to call them gotchies and we still call them that sometimes today. Babushka is also right on the money. My mother used to have a whole bundle of them in a rainbow of colors.

as a teacher i can say, this is something that needs to be addressed with the teacher in a meeting.
be sure the principal is included in that meeting.

Hmm...that is odd for a teacher to be spouting that stuff, when they are always saying kids are disrespectful to teachers nowadays I would show concern also and make sure it doesn't happen again.
