ocm--sorry to hear your kids are so sick!!! Hope they get better soon! Lucky you that Lee will help you clean up....Dave does a pretty good job helping me when in need too.

Thank goodness he was there last night. I got so sick from the smell, I don't know what I would have done. He took off today so he could sleep in. He deserves it after having to get up like that. It wouldn't be any fun at all to wake up to your wife puking and your DD covered in poop.

Nico woke up and walked out of his room and started gagging. So, Lee told him to come into my bathroom so I could help him. Then, he heard me throwing up and he started gagging again. The poor kid had a terrible nose bleed and needed me to clean it up. I was finally able to.

This is why I can't go to the zoo. I can't walk near an elephant house, I catch one scent of that place and I just throw up everywhere. I have such a weak stomach and I think Nico inherited that trait from me. I'm so glad I married someone who can handle it.

Good Morning everyone.
OCM I hope you and the little ones have a better day today
Mac Have a good trip we will behave while your gone :rolleyes1
How did everyone out Mid west way do during all the storms?
Mic I know at 2pm on there is not going to be alot of work getting done.
KS I think I drag for about a week after the time change.

I love this time change!! The only thing about it is that for those of us that wake up early, its darker in the morning longer. But still, I love the fact that it's lighter later in the day. I get so much more done. :thumbsup2

We lost power around 11pm last night -- I forget when it went back on, but I remember looking up during the night at my alarm clock and realizing it was back on. :)

Is it Friday yet???? :confused3

Actually, today isn't going to bad...my troublemaker won't be back until Friday! I can tell who starts all the fights!!!! :rolleyes2

Ok, Dh is taking Julie to the Dr today at 11:45. I would gladly go, but not sleeping for two nights, I would fall asleep at the wheel.

I really could never be a single mom. :rotfl:

Nope, not Friday yet, but it's later than I thought, I hadn't changed the time on the watch I'm wearing and thought damn, this is a long morning...then realized I hadn't changed it....so now I'm a little happier...but I'm with ya, it needs to be at least Thursday...... :thumbsup2

Oh dear Momma, your kids have it bad...poor babies...my dh is like you, smells make him sick and he isn't good with cleaning up those type of messes as it gags him....I can usually handle most of it pretty well...but I agree, it's no fun........

Ed, I'm gonna try and set my computer radio here at work to listen to the game, I should be able to  I'm not as excited as last year, they really let me down at the end last year...it will be interesting to see how they fare with all the new players...........but anyway :cheer2: My doggie has his Red Sox bandana on today :p and the flag is flying on the porch.......hope it all lends to the karma........... :cool1:

Bob, how was the date and did you bowl a perfect game ;) :teeth:

Date night was fun. :thumbsup2 Didn't bowl a perfect game, but bowling 1/2 of one (I had a 155 for my high game :thumbsup2 ) The real fun was going out afterwards anyways -- there was like 18 of us. :thumbsup2

Glad you had fun Bob...I remember years ago when we were into the going out thing, we always travelled in a pack and it was fun.....we had our "group" or "gang" and we had some good times......Hey, that is a good game you rolled there!! :cool1:

bob--that is a good number...better than what i could do....we went bowling Sat. for noah's bday....i bowled a 132! Noah beat me!!!!! ofcourse he had the bumpers! I hope that doesn't really count!! :teeth:

Mic--i am going to have to catch up with you and get some details from ya! I want to get with ya before this weekend just incase i can't get on here after the lasik!

Did I mention how nice it is here with out my trouble maker???? :teeth:

Sure thing Pam...email me your itinerary and we'll go from there...

Adam, when you check in, also email or PM me with what your plans are for arriving on Saturday........ :cool1:

But, I don't cry that often. Really I don't. Honest. You believe me right?

Nope..... I hope the kids are better.....You need to take care of YOU too while you are taking care of them. Remember what you said..."Mommies can't get sick" :goodvibes :grouphug:

Yes, there is no time for us to get sick.

Julie has what's called the Rotavirus. It's a stomach virus that lasts 2-3 weeks. The first 3-5 days kids throw up, followed by 5-6 days of the runs. As long as you keep them hydrated it runs its course. It's apparently most fatal in children 2 and under. However, it's very contagious.

Nico is now not eating anything and complaining that his stomach is hurting. I think this is just the begining. :(

Guzzling diet Mt. Dew - must stay awake LOL.

Nasty bug...our ped. sez to let ds's have flat pepsi (sort of like the pedialyte they sell but, most kids like the taste & will hold it down).
Just saw they have a "new" innoc. coming out for this.

My youngest has been saying his stomach has been hurting for 2 days now but, otherwise looks fine. Got drenched running out to get stuff to make chicken soup.

Sounds like you've got your hands full, good luck (can adults catch this too?)

Oh dear, poor little girl....take good care of her...and I bet it's going to run through all of your babies......... :grouphug:

ocm--that stinks!!! Yes, it is very contagious!!! Don't be suprised if the rest of them get it!! although i have heard it last longer than 2-3 weeks?! Looks like you guys will be camping in your house for a few weeks huh?

What ever happened with Sammies eye? Is it better?

Sammie's eye is better, I have no idea what that was, but the benedryl and ice seemed to clear that up.

I have never given my kids soda. For now, they are drinking pedialyte stright up. But now Nico has started throwing up. Julie is very lethargic. If this keeps up, I may try the soda just to get something in them. Neither has eaten for atleast a day, Julie almost 3 days.

Is she drinking? If she is lethargic watch for dehydration!!!! One way to tell is to put your thumb on her arm....if your thumb mark stays there for awhile get her back to the dr. that means she is dehyrated!!! That is alway scary when they aren't active as they should be!!! Take care of her!!!!

Flat coke or pepsi, what we called "getting the bead off it" in really little sips is good for an upset tummy, although I'm thinking what your babies have must run its course....I agree with Pam, just watch for dehydration with all that is coming out of them............poor things........I feel so badly for them... :grouphug:
