Morning Tony - yes, Nico seems to be better. Last Wednsday Julie was complaining about stomach cramps, she didnt start throwing up until Sat. There is a 3 day incubation piriod, so Im hoping, but I'm not out of the woods with Nico.

Julie is at least responding to me. Yesterday, she was just laying there and when you spoke to her, all she could do was move her head to look at you. Today, she is still laying down, but responding a little more. So, I'm hoping the worst of it is over with her.

Sammie is still my happy little child. My mom did offer to fly down if I needed her to. If nothing else, to get Sammie away from these sickos. But, right now, I've got it under control. If she had offered on Sunday or yesterday I would have said yes please, but today, I'm really hoping the worst part is over for Julie.

Glad they are somewhat better momma, again, poor little things...that virus is nasty........as I mentioned on another board, my friends great-grandson who is only maybe 6 months old has it, he has been a sick little pup. She babysat him yesterday and she said she changed his diaper a zillion times... and of course, my friend who has raised kids, grandkids and is godmother to MY kids, tried to give her granddaugher-in-law a little advice...yep, the "new" mother knows more.......

mic--isn't that the way it always goes? All my parents here seem to be that way....nevermind that i have been a mommy for almost 11 years and have done daycare for 11 1/2 years! I don't know anything compared to a first time mom!!! What the heck was I thinking?!!?!

Have to go and pick up aubrey from school today as my naughty kid isn't here for the mom to bring him back along with aubs...i guess it will be good to get these kids out of the house for a few minutes, but I hate the fact she gets out at 11am...that is when i am making lunch!

Oh Mic - a 6mo old getting this would be aweful. The reason my mom offered to take Sammie is that Samantha is under weight as it is. For her to get this would be a nightmare. I couldn't even imagine dealing with this in a 6mo old. That poor baby and mom.

I know what you mean about moms that don't want advice. Heck, I'm going to try the soda today with her. I did try gatorade, but I sent DH to get it and he got Lemon Lime and the kids hate it.

So, I have diet soda sitting in my fridge that I'll let go flat and try it on them. Maybe Julie will keep that down a little better.

I did some research on this and lots of kids in "developing" (3rd world) countries die from this. Mostly becuase of lack of hygeine and they dont have the hydrating drinks readily available like we do in the states.

They say the best thing to give the kids is pedialyte and gatorade. To not give the kids any other clear liquids, especially water. The things to feed them are toast, applesauce, I forget the other stuff. Julie wanted none of what they were saying. I'll be happy when she starts eating again.

Now why would your dh buy a flavor they don't like??? OH that's right, he is a MAN....and are given to not thinking when sent out on errands sometimes... Mine would have said, well I didn't think it mattered what flavor............

It's amazing that this virus is all over the place right now...that was so weird you posted that your kids had it, then when my friend called me last night, and she was telling me about little Ryan having the same thing. I just hope for all of them to start feeling better real soon

I just got off the phone with one of my good friends that I haven't talked to in forever!!! It was so nice to sit and yak at her...she is a sahm out by the panhandle of Nebr. do I don't get to see her much! I miss the good ole days!!! She was my drinkin' buddy We had sooooo much fun together!!! It is her husbands fault that they had to move that far away....gee how dare him get a decent job!!!!

Isn't it weird that things go around like this?! I guess the mumps are going around in Iowa, Kansas, and Now a few cases are reported in Nebraska! I hope it stays away from us!!!


Bunch of running around tonight as all of my kids have something going on...aubrey=dance, noah=soccer, and trent=baseball!! Oh i just LOVE spring!!!

It rebounded to 50 degrees & sunny. If I squint my eyes just right, it sort of looks like the above-pictured beach of the day (yeah-right LOL, better livin' thru chemistry). No narcs for me today (I've got a bad back that's been running smooth lately) I'm goofy enough in my natural state.

Kids are resiliant, good thing, they seem to get so sick, so fast, it's scary...especially when they spike those high fevers.

Got one of those timeshare offers today (Sheraton Vistana on International Drive). This one is actually tempting - $149 for 4 nights in a 1 BR anytime over the next year w/o having to sit thru a presentation. If you do, they'll throw in an extra $100. Sounds too good to be true. Anyone know anything about them? I do so like a bargin, even if it costs me.

Pam - it's nice to catch up with an old friend. I love going home and catching up with Todd. In some ways, even though you don't talk everyday like you use to, you jsut seem to pick up the relationship right where you left it. As if they never moved.

Mic - It is strange that I posted at the same time they told you she had it. I think it is going around up there. My mom just mentioned that a bunch of kids at her school were out for a few weeks.

Keisha - yes, I did the timeshare presentation staying a a 1bdrm at the Vistanna for some wicked cheap amount. Anyway, it was worth it and the hotel was really nice. I say try it out. No need to buy into it to try it.

finally back from all the running for the day! Looks like we get to do it again tomorrow...and thursday.....and probably friday too!

I will be happy to get away for a couple of days in a couple week! a little break, but that will fly by so fast that it will be like i didn't even go!
