Mic - WHOOOO HOOO! Its short notice, but yay, you have work. That is wonderful. And your weekend sounds perfect to me. You have to love weekends like that.

My weekend is pretty sweet. The Redskins play the Giants on Saturaday at 3. Then, Lee and Nico are off to hockey game and I have a nice quiet evening to myself. BUBBLE BATH NIGHT!!! Then, I have nothing scheduled for Sunday which I really like. It will give me a chance to start thinking about pcking. WHich we all know me, that wont hppen until Thursdya night or Friday Morning

Good Morning all. You all that headed for MCO have a good time it will be December before I get there but I have the cruise to look forward to.

I had a momnet of weakness and purchased this last night:

I just got everything worked out to go for a week in May!! WHOO HOO

Everyone's plans sound exciting and fun...........Bob, those bowling type leagues are lots of fun and how nice the boys get to stay with grandma & grandpa...glad the boys are feeling better too.

Those 2 traveling girls need to get their cases packed and be ready to roll....sounds fun........Universal will be a nice change

Well, I just got a call from the temp agency to go work this afternoon ......so being the good person I am, I said yes....I figured I need to make a good impression......... I'm a little nervous with such short notice but I'll be fine I'm sure..........not asking me to perform brain surgery or anything, just answer phones so I need to get myself pulled together here and be ready to roll around lunchtime.

My weekend is nothing to write home about, just here at the house, but I'm fine with that....I always can find something to do....maybe I'll scrap a little...........

Pam, how is the ankle today? Mac, you working too?

That is great that you are going to work today!!! I am glad for you!
As for the ankle--it looks like i am hiding an orange in it! It does feel a little better today though...atleast i can walk on it without it throbin' Tryin' to listen to you though...everytime i hav a chance i put it up!

We probably won't go until 2007 sometime....we will go before aubrey starts kindergarten like we did with the others. Dave has expressed intrest in going again this year, but I am being the bad guy and sticking to my guns about letting the kids see all the other places. I would do both, but with our schedule it is hard to even get one family trip in!

Ed--that is a cool toy! I thought of getting one myself but I don't know if i would use it.

Bob--a weekend of bowling! Hope you have a good time! I bet your mom and dad love to watch the boys and it gives you two a breather too! Glad the boys are feeling better--it is no fun when your kids are sick! I get really grumpy when my kids are sick!

and back to rock concerts...I've NEVER been to one and would LOVE to go......maybe in my next life I'll get there..........I'm an AC/DC fan and would love to see them...........on that note....GUESS WHAT Ed?? Orioles had pre-season day for tickets yesterday, and I snagged two games to see the Sox play in Baltimore, one in May and one in Sept.......yikes, they cost an arm and a leg, so its a good thing I'm going to work today....it might pay for one ticket...

That's one of the reasons we're going in May. That, along with making Ryan's first birthday be memorable (at least for us )

Yep. Cameron turned 5 on Sept. 3rd last year, but we decided to send him to pre-K this year and K next year. He's a smart kid (then again, what parent's ever said "Man, is my kid dumb!!" ), but we figured an extra year would help him mature.

We're going to do anything I can think of to make Ryan's trip extra special!

I think its a good idea to hold them back that extra year. Evan has a Feb birthday so even though he could have been in K this year I knew that extra year would help him out so much. He goes to preschool half a day, everyday this year then next year K.
We will be doing the same with Connor.

I can not see her going to all day kindergarten...i think that is to young. She has all the time in the world to grow up...what's one more year to spend with her mommy!?

See, Cameron does go to all day preschool (part for him and part because DW and I both work full time), but we worked him up to that point, starting him out around 3 with a couple half-days.

He loves preschool -- heck, I get yelled at by him on days when I pick him up early.

a lot of it depends on the state and school district.
illinois has cut off dates and most districts hold at a child must be 5 by august 31 or have to wait till the next school year to enroll.

Our district is oct. 15th. So she could go to school if i chose....but i don't choose! Aubrey only goes to school from 8:30-11:00 2 days a week. Next year she will go from 8:30-12:00 3 days a week. I think she could go now...she knows alot of things that they are suppose to know, but I am looking at if i hold her back she will be 18 when she graduates...not 17..that year to me of maturity is important...i think anyway!

Okay I think I have the best Sept cutoff story. Here in Texas the cutoff is Sept 1. Michael was born Sept 2 (at 1:23 am)! LOL he missed the cutoff by 1 hour 23 minutes.

I would have held him back anyway but atleast I didnt have anyone (ie moms or grandma's) harrassing me to send him to K at 5.

He has really done well in school and that extra year of maturity has helped so much in jr high and a lot in high school.

But I agree with holding him back Connors Bday is Oct 17 and I was glad he missed the cutoff it will be better that he is one of the older ones in class.
