Ed, I couldn't see the photo at first this a.m. either, so I guess all the girls are in hickville today..........but now I see it and it is one of my favorite rides....cool and relaxing and good place to catch a couple zzzz's.......

we've not had this record heat in quite a few years, and you know what???? I'm wishing we don't get it back anytime soon.............
So, I go in for my interview and find that I'm actually pretty much hired already....
just on the say so of my dear friend. I start on August 16th. In our county all students fill out a lunch form, determining what they are eligible for as far as lunch costs, or even if not, they all fill them out......well they all have to be entered into the computer and filed and accounted for...so that is what I will be doing, assisting the gal that does this. My vacations are NOT an issue, in fact, the majority of my time off in Oct. falls into school days off etc....SOOOOOOOOOO....I'm temporary help, from August til December....she is going to train me in some other areas so I can perhaps come in and sub in the office if someone is off sick or whatever, and they are going to look out for me to sub in other offices in the system....this is the Food Service that I'm in. Starting out it will be the 5 days a week, but can be 3 or 4 also, that is cool. I'm very happy about it all and it pays well for part-time temp work....close to 10 bucks an hour which is a LOT more than I made after 10 years with Disney (ok, so I got some perks..
that made up). It's a foot in the door with the BOE....not a bd place to get in with. So, I was a bum this morning and now I'm an office rat........
Thanks for all the good wishes, I think you all helped me out. You know, this fell in my lap, and sometimes things like this are supposed to be....I wanted to go back to doing something, but was looking at my vacations and figuring no one would want me right now...and I REALLY did not want to go back to retail.........been there done that....they expect so much of you over the holidays. Also, another friend is going to be a manager at Bath & Body, and she is looking for stage set people....you work on a Sunday night for like 8 hrs. putting new product and arranging etc...you only have to work like 1 shift every 90 days...so I may do that too.
Ok, off to eat...........I had to take a break after carting all that crap in the house and putting it away...........
