TEST (part 2)

Pam, I'm glad it's Friday also, but it always leads back to Monday :confused3 and those 2 days of the week always speed by for some strange reason

I picked fairly simple for adr's....Rose & Crown, O'Hana, Trails End and also picked the Japanese place for a late lunch, but may change that one...I need to look over the menus again. We don't need to do character stuff, done lots of those and for just us 2, while its fun, its not worth the extra $$ right now. We can always stop by Crystal Palace for a lunch or breakfast if we really need character interaction :thumbsup2 I picked O'Hana for Saturday night in case we can't get an early flight into Orlando, don't want to burn a ticket just to go eat in a park......the places we've picked we like, so it's all good. Think I'll sit here while it's relatively quiet (the morning sure wasn't :sad2: ) and look over some of the menu's I printed out. Seems a lot of them have changed since we ate at certain places.

I asked dh if he would rather sign up for a bus trip out of Baltimore to go see the Sox play at Fenway that weekend instead of Florida and he turned me down  said he would rather do Disney.....:thumbsup2

I think I told you all this, but we subscribed to the MLB Extra Innings on our cable, so now I can see all the Sox games....:cool1: it's been pretty neat to put them on each evening

Bob, if you don't drop back by.......have a blast........think of us...well at least for a minute or two...:thumbsup2 :cool1:

They put a Pirates game on over game 1 of the NHL playoffs? Aren't the Pirates already mathematically eliminated from the playoffs? ;) :p

Birthday loot -- not much. I got Guitar Hero for the Wii (Cam's Wii :rolleyes1 ), some clothes and an IOU for a couples cooking class Nicole and I are doing in May.

Birthday cake -- low key, Nicole bought some cupcakes. :)

yep, go figure...however; the Pirates aren't quite out of it yet;) actually won a few games:eek: ...give them a week or 2

i can even play guitar hero:thumbsup2 , the alice cooper song is my best:goodvibes

forgot to ask, have you been to the Paramont Kings Dominion/Island? park near Cincinnati/Mason, Oh...worth a trip? It's appears to be the only park open within driving distance of us when Jr. goes to MCO end of month for a week, DH has decided to take me on our long-delayed honeymoon:laughing: . His 1st suggestion was Gettysburg...nothing more romantic than sleeping across the street from 50,000 dead soldiers:confused3 although i'm sure it'd we'd find something to do

then, he thought the beach...too far, water too cold

he doesn't like niagara falls much

now, he has me looking for DINGS:headache: anywhere (he's dreaming Vegas or FLA - fat chance for just a couple days)...he's got cabin fever.

Nov 8 to 16 Poly right now but who knows if they offer something good when the discounts come out I may change but the monorail makes it so much easier with Linda in the wheelchair.
when youngest DS was in a transport chair few years ago due to broken foot, we ran into an issue on the boats & water level...good thing he was able to get out of it because they were turning others away, back to the bus.

i've never eaten @ any of them:laughing: ; know my crew wouldn't like the food @ ohanas. My oldest DS is a big benihana type fan, go a couple times a month; they were sorely disappointed with both the food & "show" @ the one in epcot:confused3 not sure if they hit a bad night or not...although, he's tried most of the ones in our area & seems to like them all.

pam - busy days ahead for you, good thing you're young!

ps JR passed the test & was hired as a caddy @ the Country Club:banana: :yay: . Now all i need to do is get the working papers, etc.; apparently; he'll need another physical:upsidedow . Hope the ped signs off on it since he just had one in January! He's psyched, counting down the # of times he has to caddy to get a Playstation 3:rotfl: .

have a great weekend all!

Good Morning everyone

just stunning:cloud9:

I've been there twice, although not for a few years. I think the last time Nicole and I went it was pre-kids, so it was at least 8 years ago.

Anyways, I like the park -- they have some of the better roller coasters around. It's not Cedar Point (I'm biased ;) ), but it's pretty good. The Beast is the best wooden roller coaster ever! :thumbsup2

We leave Wed. night :)

I'm glad I asked....I was thinking you were going in May for some reason:confused3

Your picks sound:thumbsup2 We are going to go to O'hana's for the first time while we are there. I hope the kids like it but if they don't seem interested then I guess we will order them chicken nuggets or something. Dave was rubbing it in that the royals won 2 from the yankees:mad:

who's young?? I feel so dang old!!!:confused3
Congrats to your ds!!!:cool1: He will be rollin' in the dough!!

I'm off to get snack for the kids....have a good weekend everyone!!!

O'Hana I like, I like the combo of shrimp, meat, turkey or chicken forget which and pork...I did learn though you can ask for your meat rare...I always felt is was done too much for me, and someone told me ask for it rare......wow, awesome concept huh :rotfl: Trails End is a very good casual buffet with loads of selections, that is why I decided on it, plus its not in a park, a nice boat ride over from the Poly...I was thinking of Hoop De Doo, haven't done that one in years, and I like the different levels of seating/pricing they have now...I think I might like sitting upstairs:goodvibes Only 4 nights, so you can only do so much. Plus I gotta work in my treats I like which are a Yaki Tori multi flavor icee at Japan, a funnel cake and a fruit tort at the Norwegian bakery...YUM:cool1:

KS, awesome news for your son...:cool1: good for him

thanks bob!

i always wondered if you needed a ressie for lunch or dinner @ trails end?

a good choice paying OOP ;) ; on our list

I don't think ADR's are needed at Trails End. We have not tried it yet. With the changes at Le Cellier maybe we will cancel our ADR there and eat at Trails End & somewhere offsite for the same price!

Have any of you ever eaten at Beaches & Cream? We love it. This summer I am going to try to go over and just have the Kitchen Sink. The kids always want to do it but by the time we get over there we are so hungry we eat then there is no room for the desert. I sure hope we can get it in this year.

so chatty here today....i like that...

mic, i made adr for ohana also.

they changed the menu a few weeks ago and hope i like it still

off work and now out to do errands

catch you later

We have done Trails End a couple times, never with a ressie, just showed up, but they did let me make an adr for there...it is fun...used to have checkered table cloths and servers in jeans and western type shirts, I believe the gals wore skirts, but that was some time ago, so not sure what is up now. I remember fried chicken, ham, beef, pizza, lots of veggies, and a little bit of this and that.

Lori, last time on my gals trip, we met at Beaches & Cream, never had been before, but I loved it and might try to get hubby over there, he luvs him some ice cream, so I know he will walk away happy after a treat from there. That kitchen sink is something to behold :thumbsup2 I also was thinking Tony's...not necessarily cause I think the food is outstanding, I've just always liked the atmosphere there. I remember way back when, when it was just a breakfast place and I believe run by Nestle. We ate there on one of our very first trips to WDW...I have a picture of me with Pluto who tried to snitch my bacon:upsidedow

Gonna watch some of the Sox/Yanks game.......be back later....mac, I'll have to check out the new O'Hana menu

we were rather chatty today weren't we:rolleyes:

i think we have ADR's at Boatwrights, Chef Mickey's, O'hana's, Coral Reef, WCC, Sci-Fi, Le Cellier, and Cap'n Jacks. Our friends will be going to the beach the day we go to O'hana's so we will go there by ourselves. They will go to 1900 Park Fare by themselves as we really aren't huge breakfast eaters.

Who you callin' chatty?

I actually should be cleaning the house for the sleepover tomorrow night, I'll check in later.

don't you know that kids don't care what your house looks like?!!?

I have to run out and get a birthday present for one of Noah's friends. His friend's mom called and said she is putting a last minute bday party together for her son.

on my way to get the present i'll swing by and help ya clean:upsidedow

hi ed,
hi pam,
hi todd

looks like the gang has gone to the couch to watch tv tonight.

Well then get him to Beaches & Cream. It is one of my dh's favorite places to go. The No Way Jose sundae is fabulous!

Tony's sounds like it used to be a lot of fun. I hate it when they change the places we have fond memories of.

Our ADR's this year:

Breakfast: Donalds & Ohana
Lunch: Crystal Palace
Dinner: Chef Mickeys, WCC & Le Cellier

Good morning.....

I thought of another little out of the way place I like to eat...The Plaza in the MK....yum
