morning all!

It is a very gloomy day here...i guess we are suppose to get some bad storms today. I just hope it stays rain and not snow....next week it is suppose to get up into the 70's...i can't wait!

Lori--our trip is May 24-June 1st.

mac--seems i always forget what's on tv. I guess one of my sister's old classmates and friend is going to be on the nanny. Her mom use to be my old chorus teacher...i will watch that one

I need to split myself again tonight. I am suppose to take a CPR class and trent has a vocal concert tonight at the same time. I am thinking about skipping the CPR class and go to the one Monday night. The good thing is one of the mom's that comes here is the one teaching the class so I talked to her and said it was up to me on what i wanted to do

No Cruise for me this year the rest of the family backed out ... so what to do what to do... Hey I know WERE GOING TO DISNEY WORLD!

I've been running around like a crazy person Chris is having his Bday party this weekend so we are going to a bowling alley for the party and then he is going to have 5 of his friends sleepover that night oh ya that reminds me I need more rum.

KS, I think I might book our return flight anyway, just in case nothing cheaper comes along, if it does, I can cancel and use the $$ on a later flight someplace if need be...I'm getting antsy as the days are ticking by and no return flight booked yet...nor does it look like going out is going down either...guess I could be trying to fly American just saw on the news over 900 flights cancelled/delayed or whatever...

Bob you made out pretty well for a low-key birthday, those are the best anyhoot...glad it was happy

Yes Pam, we leave on the 23rd or May and coming back either 6/1 or 2...I'm thinking late on the 1st so we can recoup on Monday.

Mac, I usually don't watch the Idol Gives, it just gets so repetitious to me and it is a good cause, I just get tired of the yapping...I read this thing online today that says Tivo somehow has some way they are using with their customers to figure out who gets the boot, and they have been right the last 4 weeks...so they say bye-bye Syesha tonight...it will be fun to see if they are right

i heard on the radio coming home from work that united is raising all its prices by $35 across the board due to the increase of fuel costs.

i use yapta and kayak for notices on any change of what i have booked and what i have set up for a tenative booking.

for the flight i booked earlier this week, it started around $190 and went up to $284 as of last night.

now an additional charge will be placed on all bookings , another 35, with united very soon if not tomorrow.

when one big company raises rates, others seem to follow the pattern

Carnival got slapped w/a class action suit re the $5 pp day fuel surcharge we just avoided...it's all being refunded.

Speaking of Carnival, i'm still fighting with them with Chase/Disney in the middle as to refund for bad excursion...they credit it, they appeal, we appeal...it's been 4 months

Also, finally got satisfaction re orthodontists office...where they tried to get me to pay another couple hundred $s 7 months after braces were remeoved. My insurance company looked into the payments they made & i was square turned out a new employee @ drs office was not processing things correctly. It was @ the point where I was getting threatened with collections...my better half was not happy with me...glad it worked out.

off to school event this evening, son has artwork in show...the same stuff that's been laying around the house for the last few months...least he wants to be seen with us in public

He turned 9 yesterday.

The cruise was supposed to have a few more family members, that way DW could go hang and do some girl stuff and I could go do some guy stuff along with doing stuff together so we decided to hold off and go another time and go to the World again.

Well Idol really for the first time in a long time ticked me off....my Michael getting the boot....my honest opinion........he is a much better singer then Brooke or Jason or even Syesha for that matter........I've never felt like I wouldn't watch when someone got voted off...well almost when Chris Daughtry got booted (but he lasted a lot longer), but this makes me really want to turn it off and not follow it.......what a bunch of bologna...but I think he will be fine, he has been 'seen' now and had exposure...he sure is a cutie and so reminds me of Michael H. from INXS...he will do well I'm sure...but I'm bummed anyhoot...BOO HISS......I just want to whine.........waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah....there, I feel better

Noah had his bday party at the bowling alley too! They all seemed to have a good time. Good luck with the 5 for a sleep over...why is it that kids don't want to sleep?!

our town went up also but not as much as chi town did.

cook county has extra taxes and lake county doesn't

and, cook county tax is 10.25% while ours is 7.5%

Good morning, sun is sneaking out with a high of 77 predicted, but rain is also in the weekend forcaste

SO glad I made the mental decison to book our flight....it is up $39 this morning and all the others are up and some close to $200 one way...I knew the time was right, had a gut feeling.......SOOOOOOO glad I bit the bullet

Gas is around $3.35 here, MD has the worst taxes on EVERYTHING, believe me and gas is one of them......boo hiss....I think walking is going to become an option.... can you see me walking 10 miles to work and back and I have to travel over a mountain also.

I did get ahold of WDW...and just as I suspected, my rate is so great at the Poly, to change it to the package constitutes about $142 per day more and really, we won't eat that much between us per day I don't think. I just decided to stick with the room only and buy my passes as cheaply as possible and just pay as we eat...we can econmize on breakfast/lunch and then splurge on a nice dinner. Got my ADR's in line, may change one of them though. And all the poo I got at work the other day about taking the 2 days off.....well, I'm still going and it just makes the trip so much sweeter to me!!!
This place has been so drama-laden all week, I swear, for only 25 or so employees, it is a hot-bed of drama and turmoil at times.

Getting back to airfare, its a shame you have to play such games with the airlines....and look where it all has lead, unsafe planes and so much fare wars. Years ago, before everyone flew everywhere, there were pretty much set fares for getting where you needed to go, maybe they need to go back to that. We as consumers have come to the conclusion that a sale will be forthcoming, so we wait it out. That same thing happened to the Disney Stores...I talked about that before, and look where they now are.

On that note, seems Disney is buying about 200 of the stores back from Hoops, and getting rid of over a 100. The next closest store to me is on the closing list and looks like MD is only gonna have 1 store. I rarely go into them anymore, so its sad in a way, cause I have a connection to the closer store closing, a lot of our cast went there and I helped to open that store, but......it sounds like its done.

Happy FRIDAY morning everyone

I don't know why I am so excited about it being Friday...i have another full weekend here

Trent was suppose to have his first baseball game tomorrow in Omaha but it got cancelled because it is suppose to snow. Aubrey(well all the kids were suppose to go but cancelled the boys due to baseball) has a dentist appt. tomorrow in Lincoln. She is going for her 6 month check up but I really want him to look at her as she has a tooth coming up and her baby teeth aren't even loose.

Sunday I have to teach sunday school by myself and then we go to my sisters house for my nephew's birthday.

Then it will be monday again and I start those 2 new kids


ed--sounds I really wanted to stay at the poly but the friends we are going with didn't by the way...love the rise

mic--it's a good thing you did book your airfare with just 2 of you going to disney I am sure it won't cost you much for food. I know when dave and I went there with just the 2 of us we would fair seldom eat lunch. What ADR'S do you have?
