test Part 10

mac u snowed in yet, not sure how u cope with the weather in ur parts

mic - i liked angie & jesse too, think there was a special on soapnet today @ 2 pm? missed it. I always wanted to be exotic like erica;) ; either she has good genes or lots of work done. If the latter, i can't tell. On my to-do list to check out the soap weekend @ MGM some day.

bad seed of a brother stopped by, supposedly just to say hi & drop off his kids pictures...always followed by a hard luck story in a week or two...sigh. If he'd only get a 9-5 aka "real" job; but noooo...prefers to play peter pan

erica doesn't have great genes, she's 62 and has a great plastic surgeon.

no snow yet....
doing pizza tonight, too many games on to go out to eat.
mr mac said, we eat after 7:30 tonight or order in.
football on .................

i didn't know you had a brother?
does he come by often to see MOM?

lori, what you do you are doing for your daughter.
she will learn patience thru what you do and how you handle situations.
i would have done the same thing, taken the girl home.

i would hesitate to include that child in future happenings though.

i'm glad it went good. I can't believe the mom couldn't come pick up the kid! Like you don't have 11 other girls there?!?! The only reason I could see her not coming to pick up her child was if she was a single mom and had other kids or if her dh was working the night shift.:sad2: Although, it probably did make it a little easier on you since you didn't have to risk that little girl waking up everyone else while she was waiting for her mom to come.

I think a nap is in store for you today!

Loribell - I would have taken the kid home too and I would have been mad about the whole ordeal. What is with parents?!! What I would have wanted to say (in your shoes) is, "Let me see if I understand you correctly. Your sweet little girl is sitting here balling her eyes out, I have 7 other 12 year old girls that I am responsible for in this house. You want me to leave all these kids to take your child home??!!" I really hope the mom was truly stuck. Maybe she was a single mom with little babies who were asleep.

Afternoon all...

well, unless I had a damn good reason not to, I would have been the one picking up my child, who wanted to come in the first place then didn't want to stay  geez...but at least this way you know she got home...where she seemed to belong anyway, and not wait around for her mother to get her...sounds like everyone else enjoyed themselves though, so that is good

Sorry to say that the parents are just worthless parents, but I already knew that so I don't know why I was surprised. :headache: They were both home and have tow older girls that drive that could have come to get her.

Oh well, dh was here and all the other girls slept through it. And she wasn't here to cause trouble this morning.

I need a nap too, I was awake at 4:30 this morning and couldn't go back to sleep, so lay in bed and watched Soapnet, then 2 movies. I haven't watched AMC in years and years, so don't know Greenley, but I do remember a bit of Angie and Jessie. Does seem a little hard to dump the gal playing Greenley (not sure of the spelling) in favor of bringing back the oldGreenley, unless newGreenley wasn't a good actress :confused3 I remember watching AMC when it was a new show  and Ericka was a young chickie

My soap has a returning from the dead character also, only he was only dead for a couple months  guess fan outrage played a part in bringing him back, he was a vet of 21 years on the show...I don't mind them bringing him back, but its the same old amnesia, different identity story they are using, they really could think of something else :sad2:

Sorry about the insomnia, that happens to me a lot. I watch lots of soap net when that happens. I remember Angie & Jessie too, and Jenny & Greg. I always thought they would pull the bring them back fromthe dead stunt with Jenny way back when.

Days of Our Lives does just keep re-doing the same old story line. Why don't they come up with something else. I finally stopped watching it. When is John supposed to be back? Have they said? And do Sami's new twins really have different dads? :lmao: :lmao:
hey, chance of snow again 2nite :sad2:

Stay warm Mac!

Thanks Mac! :flower3:

I do feel bad for the little girl though, not her fault she has crappy parents.

Loribell, do I know you from the DOOL thread that floats around the Dis? I post over there sometimes too

Yes, John has had 'face' time this week, although he is 'not' John right now, very much a robot or 'good soldier' as I guess Stefano wants him to be. I'm a huge Steve & Kayla fan, one from way back when, so I hope they get involved in the story, as they supposedly are rumored to be, along with Bo & Hope.

mac, you and your snow...just keep it out there...dh is watching the Green Bay game and I see it is snowing there...bet KS is following it too, she is a big football fan also, and Momma is too...guess I'm about the only one not really into it, but that's ok, I like reading how you guys follow your teams

It is a shame when kids have no guidance from the adults in their lives...some kids come away from it being better for it, but for most, it effects them forever and they become the same way, unless someone grabs them and can influence them...like our Gant is doing with his son's friend

I'm eating a salad right now, and peddled 15 miles today :cool1: I was watching a movie so it didn't seem to drag on terribly. I'm still stuck on the same 3#'s on the scale  but I vowed to be snack free all weekend, I almost grabbed some Doritos and slapped my own hand :upsidedow

I was watching "Hollywoodland", anyone watch it? Pretty good movie, and of course I like a movie that has that type of reality attached to it, even if a lot of it was supposition

Mic - hang in there. I have been waking up the same weight too. Its only the first week. By week three, we will be down at least 6lbs. (that is my goal anyway!)

I vow to encourage you if you encourage me...:thumbsup2 and to show my commitment, I just ordered some cute little dumb bells and some ankle weights for biking expeditions

I'll be back its back to the laundry for me............ughhhhh

Nope, I haven't followed any of the soap threads. I have just followed the show forever. Actually I have been a very good girl and stayed away from the community board except for coming to find mac's test. I have heard it can be a scary place.

It is sad to see kids in that situation. Way to many of them are. Good for Gant.

Way to go on the discipline with the snacks. I on the other hand have been very bad with snacks this weekend. Maybe I need to get a bike to ride while I watch movies too. I have another thread buddy that does the same thing.

I was glad to see Seattle's butts handed to them. Not only because Seattle beat the Redskins last week, but also because Brett Farve is HOT!!!

Now, it's 14 all with the Pats and Jacksonville. I am hoping to see a rabbit pulled out of a hat:cheer2:

yes, brett is a hottie.

i like how you pick your favorites sweets..........
sometimes the color of their uniforms sways me.........

curves has a new program called curves smart.
only about 100 of the curves stores has it.

there is an addition charge monthly and sign up fee to tack that "smart" part on to your membership.

each machine has an electronic device attached to it that will measure cardio, muscle, fat burned, reps and shows the person by colored lights and bars if they are meeting the standards to be effective.

the member that buys this program then has their own "personal trainer".

to enroll in it i had to get measured then do 6 reps on each machine and have it put into my folder system. then, when i go on the machines, i flash my wrist band card so it registers to what i am doing on it.

at the end of the workout, you go to one of the monitors, pull up your name and get a print out and showing of which muscles you worked on and the percentages you accomplished on each muscle.
it also shows the amount of calories you burned during your work out.
i'm on level 2 now and if i can continue the pace, i'll be moved to fit and trim conditioning next week.

the sensors in the stand of the machine make the machine give more resistance as you improve.

it is taking some time to get used to this set up. it slows me down as i start watching the monitor on the machines and not focus on the muscles i am working. the trainer there said after some weeks, you get used to it and can ignore the lights that flash if you fall to meet your goal

heck, now i want an exercise bike.
but i don't get to watch enough tv to use it all the time.

mac, sounds like you are gonna become the Bionic Woman with all the do-dads attached to you...that sounds awesome though and if it works and makes you feel good, well, that's great! I pass a Curves on my way home, but to tell you the truth, I just didn't know if I could be faithful to it after working all day and spending the money to join. I'm not an excercise person anyhoot, so I think riding my bike is a good start for me....keep us informed how the new program is working for you...and is the personal trainer hot? oh guess not, it's all woman at Curves isn't it  darn.........;)

My husband was cussing one of the games, I've been up here at the computer or doing laundry, so I haven't paid attention to who is playing, except for seeing Green Bay where it was snowing, so I know they played...LOL I'm sure Ed is rooting for the Pats

Mac - that sounds great. If only there were one closer to me. I know that I would not stay commited to it since it is so far away. Good luck with the program.

Well IF there is....it's with ME.....

search warrant currently being obtained............:lmao:

Hi all, off to bike for the day, have a new soup recipe in the crock pot, been to the store, folding laundry......ick...I need a personal assistant

morning all!

mic--i bet if one of us kept tony busy we could probably fine the evidence. Then maybe we could FINALLY give ocm her thong back. After I go to the foot doctor I am going to really hit the excercise mode. I may just have to suck it up and deal with it if he doesn't fix it:confused3

mac--hope you have our backs today...didn't make it to church today, although the kids did make it to sunday school. I joined the curves here right after it opened here. I did like it, but I decided to quit there for 2 reasons. 1. the kids couldn't come like they can at the fitness center and 2. they closed so dang early. I am really glad it works for you and you like it...that is the important thing.

lori--what soaps do you watch?

ocm--are you off and running yet with nico's busy schedule?

tony--i think you just confessed?!

ed--you need to come back here....we miss you!!!

bob--where are you?

gant--did you say you were going to try to hit disney this year?

metro--did you get lost coming out of your bedroom? last time we heard from ya you were on your way to bed.:confused3

We are on our way to Noah's basketball game soon. Hope you all have a good sunday!

Pam - I don't watch any of them all the time but I do like to ctach up on AMC, OLTL, GH & DOOL on Soap Net every once in a while.

afternoon test buddies.......:goodvibes

yup, had your backs, went to church today.
it got out late and i just got home.

i only exercise at curves because i paid for an entire year in advance.
i hate wasting money more than exercising.

now that i have been going for sometime, i do enjoy the benefits of gainiing musles mass and losing body fat.

i still have a long way to go.
the period from thanksgiving to new years was my down fall.

tv anyone?

football again this afternoon....

i like the seahogs, too bad they didn't do the deed

rooting for san diegeo; 28-24 - looks like they're going to upset the (always to me baltimore:rolleyes1 ) colts.

need to slap them steaks on the grill in between games.:cheer2:

mac - sound like the curves pre-pay strategy is a winner for you! Looked slim & trim in the pic of MNSSHP:thumbsup2 is erica really 62? How is it she got so old & I stayed so young:rotfl:

enjoy

susan lucci claims she was born 12/23/1946.

some years back she claimed 1945....

she will be 62 this year or maybe already is.

she looks that way keisha cause she has the money and a very good plastic surgeon.
her daughter Liza played in passions soap opera for a time.

brett is superstitious. he is of the camp where they do not shave the day before a game. something about lessening the chances of infection if he fall and get a dirt full of grass/soil.......

if giants win, they play greenbay at home.
if cowboys win, they play in dallas and gb will be shot down.
gb can't cut it in their weather.
